    Great video Rod! Catch, info, and cook are always my favorite. Great collaboration with Pailin. It'd be awesome if you could get together with other cooks, or with Pailin again, and do another one of these! It's nice to see the reactions of people who've never fished before.

    Hey Rod, awesome video! Tomorrow I will be heading out to middle arm in Richmond (near terra Nova park ) to target some bull trout. I've heard there is some good fishing there now. Any tips or advice on what to do? Thanks

    • @FishingwithRod

      +Lucas Jover This time of the year is always good for bull trout anywhere in the Tidal Fraser River downstream from the Pitt River mouth. Check out Fishing with Rod: Spring Bull Trout in Vancouver ruclips.net/video/-SefqldnHcU/видео.html

    Hi Rod, wondering what depths you guys caught the prawns on? thanks

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  5 лет назад

      I can't remember exactly what the depth was because it was a few years ago, but I think it was around the 250ft range.

    Prawns...yeah think not ? Prawn only live in fresh and brackish waters ( under 2 and under percent salt ), sea water there is about 3.5 percent salt.Those are spot shrimp.

    Wow! Awesome video! Would this sauce work without the peppers or would it lose a lot of its flavour? White guy here who can't handle spice lol

    • @PailinsKitchen
      @PailinsKitchen 8 лет назад +2

      +Bradley Rasmussen They do add a nice flavour too, not just heat, but you can scrape out all the seeds and add just one pepper and that should be fine :)

    i agree my god she's a cutie, great show. i keep hearing the thing about having bananas on a fishing boat being bad luck, what gives? i don't understand it ? lol

    • @fishnboat78
      @fishnboat78 7 лет назад

      Its true, I used to work on a charter boat and no bananas on the boat. Our captain didn't even allow banana boat suntan lotion. A long time ago when boats would transport bananas, the bananas would have bugs that carried diseases that killed people. Read this article, www.vailvalleyanglers.com/blog/otter/why-shouldnt-i-bring-a-banana-onto-a-fishing-boat

    every one wears a pfd except the girl?

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  3 года назад

      Only I was wearing it actually. In these bigger boats, especially fishing in the inside waters, most people don't wear one and they are not required to, but certainly recommend it for safety measures. At the end of the day it's up to the individual, I personally wear mine all the time in the boat regardless what weather and sea conditions we are in.

    • @TomasAWalker53
      @TomasAWalker53 3 года назад

      @@FishingwithRod I’ve been a professional and recreational boater for thirty years and since the invention of the PFD by Mustang, the old-fashion idea of not wearing them on so-called bigger boats 🛥 is gone. In the old days when full sized life jackets 🧥 were uncomfortable and cumbersome, it was understandable to make allowances for them. In the 21st century anyone in an open boat where it is easy to fall overboard, everyone needs to be seen wearing a PFD⁉️⚓️ You and your Captain each wore one. It would seem more professional to your audience if you supplied a PFD to each quest on your show/video. The fact that you “always” wear one says YOU, agree with me.⁉️☠️⚓️☠️ ps Perhaps you could get Mustang to sponsor you and perhaps supply a couple of PFDs.

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  3 года назад

      @@TomasAWalker53 I don't disagree with you, that's why I have mine on. Not sure where you saw the guide was wearing one in the video, he wasn't. At the end of the day they're all individual adults who make their own decisions after the information is given. For myself, or if someone else was in my boat, they pretty much always have one on. Also keep in mind this is a 6 year old video, things may be done differently now in our recent videos. Mustang does support the video content we produce actually. Thanks for the feedbacks.

      Nah, Pailin's channel and her 1.5 million+ subscribers say otherwise.
