It's sounds good but it's not 1000£ good. I've played one for a while and it was fun but then I saw the price and just laughed.
Can we load the old kingkorg sounds to this?

I had a king Korg back before the pandemic. Sold it and a few others when I saw the virus was hitting American shores. I knew I’d need the money because I’m a full time live musician.
I am seriously considering this Neo just to that synth engine and filters and oscillators. I’ve been revisiting songs from a few years back and realized that I did use the king Korg a lot. To great effect.
I own a Waldorf iridium keyboard and system 8, Waldorf pulse 2, and maschine plus, so I must have really loved the king if I’m considering adding it to an already satisfactory synth collection. IGNORE THE CRITICS. This synth got a bad rap. It’s kinda the same collective HATE NICKELBACK phenomenon. That band is back at it and their album sounds just fine. The king seemed to get lost in this negative feedback loop and it became “a thing” to criticize it.
It’s a very capable synth and has real fidelity in low end, mid range, and the very tricky upper registers. Snappy filters. Truly it’s worth the money.
Yes you can get these sounds from software….unless you upgrade computers and lose your license…..

Korg doesn’t learn about what’s the build quality their users want (and after touch inclusion!). Also, they haven’t fixed compatibility with all devices of their softwares. Very disappointing for such a big and legendary brand. That’s the reason I stopped buying from them: I have problems in two computers with the Nautilus, Radias, and also with the Prologue which I had to return as one relevant feature for me was the user oscillators and effects, and this didn’t work. I am good with computers as I work as IT, so I doubt it is me the problem, and I don’t have these issues with any other brand. Also, very hard (or impossible, at least extremely hard and confusing) to contact their customer support for these issues.
Anything Dave Smith makes has better bass.
I don't like it so much, I dislike my Microkorg XL+ *very* much and wish I could sell it (but no one wants it). This is a big step up is my point, but is still not where I want it to be. I am just not huge on the way Korg does analog sound emulation.
Edit, as the demo went on, it got a lot better, OK, this one is actuyally not bad. Why couldn't they give us 8 voices of this in the XL+ since it's literally priced in accordance to that. I mean it's 870 AUD for the XL+ and 1350 for this 24 voice KingKorg - make it make sense. it sounds so much better than the XL+ so why couldn't we get 8 voices of THIS as the XL+ sound engine?
Sounds nice, but build quality is poor. Keybed feels cheap, knobs are terrible. Very disappointing. Removed it from my wishlist..
The original is better in every way imaginable and you'll find one cheaper on reverb than this thing. King Korg lives and dies by its tube, and the Neo not having it was the biggest miss from Korg I've seen in years (at least slap in a NuTube! The Grand stage X has one)
I had the 61 Key Virus Ti2 and got the 61 key Korg King Korg black and only had it for a week cause the build quality is very plastic and keys very bad. What made it worst was the fact that I was use to the high quality of my Access Virus. Sold the King Korg within one week . Sold my Virus two years after that but just bought a T12 Desktop model just before discontinued. Bought a Korg Opsix when it came out and it is the same cheap quality as with the King Korg but did learn to live with it for a while and love the sound of the Opsix but also sold it. The Neo should cost what the new Opsix and Modwav cost. Prices make no senses. Even the 61 version are priced FAR to high but the prices are dropping cause they see people don't buy it.

I would never pay a grand for three octaves! Not worth it and Korg seems to be on a downward serial!
So .. cheap plastik, less KEYS, no tube and double the price of a better used KINGKORG 1??
