Thank you for a simple video without a big flashy intro and slapstick humor with cheesy rock ‘n’ roll

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I searched for 8 ft., single pole replacement instructions. After reviewing about a dozen, most of which were for the dual pole fixtures, and I'm not sure why they even bothered to post their worthless instructions, I found yours. I will admit it took more than 2 minutes but not much. You were clear, to the point, and when I followed your instructions, it worked wonderfully! In case I forgot, let me say thank you again.

Okay here's a quick tutorial cut the wires both ends of ballast. There is no reason to remove the ballast just leave it there it's not bothering anyone. Now here's an easy way to remember what to do . One end is hot , that's black , and one end is not , that's white remember that and it's a cinch. The colors of the other wires do not matter as long as you're keeping your groups together . I've done quite a few of these and it probably doesn't take any longer than 10 minutes. And in case you're wondering the cost for the new 8-foot tubes I paid $17 a piece in December 2023 at an electrical supply outfit . The 4 ft tubes were even cheaper than that I believe I paid less than 4 dollars each for those . Good luck with your project and don't be nervous it's easy as anything there's no need to buy new fixtures ever just rewire and use LED bulbs. Problem solved

Really good presentation. Excellent. You didn't mention the copper ground wire, however.

    This video worked for these:
4Pack R17d V Shaped Rotatable HO Base 8 Foot led Bulbs Double Row ,65W,150W Fluorescent Lamp Replacement Shop Lights, Dual-Ended Power, Cold White 6000K, 7800LM,Clear Cover, AC 90-277V
This wiring method should work for any dual-end powered light, as opposed to single-end powered. Look for those terms and you should be good.

I took out the fluorescent bulb and placed an LED bulb in and the they turned on. Is it maybe that they are making lED's now that convert easily to a fluorescent fixture?

Heard the plastic led tubes droop, and need clips?!

Live to neutral, just remember that! One end of the bulbs stays live and one end stays neutral :)
I had a mess of wires in my fixture, so I had to make sure that I followed the live wire correctly, and since it was a dual bulb fixture, I had one bulb with live wire at one end and neutral at the same end on the other bulb. I kept re-checking to make sure everything was perfect before I closed the fixture up and turned on the power. It turned out perfect 👍🏼

According to what I see in the video and on their website, all the 8 foot led lights have the G13 single input end and not the 2 pin. Thus, you'll have to replace both mounting ends for the light tube to actually mount to.
Everyone says how easy and fast you can swap lights out to led's but no one has YET talked about having to replace the tombstone mounts for the single pin tubes.
Quote from their website for these lights: "Electronic ballast fixtures will require new lampholders, one fixed and one plunger style for each tube-you can find them in the accessories section above"

You can get single pin 8' LED tubes as well.

I have found that a lot of these conversion videos can be somewhat misleading due to lack of detail. There is such a large variation of bulbs and tombstones and no video seems to describe the specific tombstone and bulb being used in the demo.

Can you even get G13 led bulbs in 8 foot length? I had HO tombstones and swapped to single pin FA8 tombstones because I couldn't find any 8 foot led G13 ends in my area

@@Martys-4x4I've showed a pic of my set up. Trying to bypass the ballast. I was told to connect the yellow wires to Black (hot)& blue&red to yellow(neutral). Isn't it supposed to be the other way? Like this vid?

    What's a tombstone?

The wiring instructions were too abbreviated and not accompanied by adequate explanatory video. Suitable as a tech update for electricians, perhaps, not most potential buyers.
