    Walnut def has more mid range but lacked that boominess and upper mid range. Maple is just perfect, crisp, open and boomy.

    j 200 born to be in mapple and spruce only

      It was actually born to be rosewood and spruce

      @@marckrenek 100% agreed! I have both a Rosewood and Maple Version of the SJ200 and I really prefer the Maple! I Bet that Western Classic with Walnut B/S Sounds Killer in Person. Walnut is auch a great tonewood, all J15s I played sounded great....
