@@RedStrikeMusic Okay, let me be exact. If memory serves me correctly, Tyler wrote the lyrics (probably the music), Perry the music- or at least the guitar riffs. Aerosmith recorded, performed, etc.

"Walk This Way" is a song by the American hard rock band Aerosmith. Written by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, the song was originally released as the second single from the album Toys in the Attic (1975). In addition to being one of the songs that helped break Aerosmith into the mainstream in the 1970s, it also helped revitalize their career in the 1980s when it was covered by hip hop group Run-D.M.C.

Joe Perry played the guitar solo on the track and the chorus features Steven Tyler singing, with Eminem adding "sing", "sing with me" and "come on" in the refrain as well."

You'd be surprised how many rappers, especially in the early days of rap music, sampled/dj'd in bits and pieces of rock/metal songs. I mean Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, ect.... all had parts of their songs in a lot of rap tunes. I'd also say though, if you are rap head, go listen to something like James Brown's 40th Anniversary collection double cd. You'd never stop hearing stuff that got sampled of his in modern rap. Same goes for say Kool and the Gang, Parliament Funkadelic, The Temptations.... read those liner notes in cds...and see where all those samples come from.

You got it right bro.., about 3:25sec, when you start to speak that truth. Was already in such a great place from 25 to 35 years prior to that Era. That's why you hear those my age say it's so much worse now.., lyke it's back to tha 50s and 60s only from opposite ends. My whole generation, black and white let it go and were truly happy living together in this country. Music was tha one and only great influence we had. Zero social media to brainwash us otherwise. There was a certain unspoken respect from tha hip-hop world, and in return hop- hop brought inspiration, admiration, and acceptance. I believe music was tha sole reason we all could really begin to come together. Respecting different cultures and accepting enough of any differences, proved ones character, intellect, and what you stood for as a human being and American. And that went a whole lot futher back then... where tha saying "all a man has, is his word"... and "word is bond" ... things lyke that came from self respect being being either #1 or #2 in any one persons life. But you bro...i see you got it... and tha courage to make that something you can be proud of. Love tha reaction😁, sry for tha rant😅, and keep em comin 😁👍🏼

The past is gone. We don't want to focus on the past, the past creates who we are. So many of us look there to figure out why we are who we are. For almost everyone, their past was molded by other people's influence on their lives. A lot of influence that should never have happened. If we could escape it, we would. It's hard to look forward when the past never stops knocking. But we can try! 😊 Have an awesome day!

So the guitars...the main riffs you are hearing are from Joe "Fuckin" Perry. He's the lead. Very cool, very well known...VERY GOOD! He's known by his peers for doing things that he shouldn't be able to do on guitar. When you think of guitar rock gods, you're thinking Joe Perry without even knowing who he is. There is a second guitar player in the group named Brad Whitford. He's the quiet one, but is very skilled...very polished and possibly the most underrated guitarist in rock. They compliment each other very well. You won't find a better guitar duo in the history of Rock n Roll. PERRY IS GOD!

7:13 i am half black and half white. when i was a kid in the 90s (i'm 36 right now) white kids listened to their music and black kids listened to their music. there wasn't much overlap where i was, and even some almost (absolutely) violent rejection on both sides. so seeing black folk listen to "white music" and the opposite on youtube is curious to me, someone who is both. i am half black and i didn't even try listening to hiphop until around the year 2000 because of purely racial lines, i grew up with the white side of my family. hip hop/rap and in particular gangster rap didn't become a part of my life until 2000. it is really difficult to describe how i felt when i realized that music created by black folk had been held back from me just because i lived in a white household. lets just say that my appreciation of music is pretty skewed, but i hope for the better. captain beefheart was a genious.

    Eagles - Hotel California
    Eric Clapton - Layla (1992 unplugged/acoustic version)
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Carlos Santana ft. The Product G & B - Maria Maria. I actually recommend the entire album this is on, which is called "Supernatural". There is a lot of collaboration on this album with many singing artists.

Aerosmith loved metaphors, like their album Done With Mirrors was about kicking cocaine addiction, they were "done" with mirrors. It was always said, when I was a kid (in the 70's), that the first verse of Dream On was about kicking cocaine. "...when I look in the mirror, all the lines on my face getting clearer", lines of cocaine on a mirror, and so on, the rest of the verse applies if you look at it in that context. Maybe an urban legend, conspiracy theory, whatever, it always sounded like that.

Great, classic song - one of my all time favorites. Steven Tyler has been a judge on American Idol and I remember him saying "Some of these people have talent way beyond mine." And I was so impressed by his humility because his voice is so iconic and he's a total showman. But speaking of guitars, If you love guitar, two more you have to check out and they will blow you away. "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynrd (other reactors have actually gotten out of their chairs and walked away and then came back), and then "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. You will be blown away. Great reaction!

I just came across your channel and I love seeing people exposed to the music I grew up on. I don't think you've reacted to any Eagles songs yet. They have one album (greatest hits 1971-1975) that has sold 38,000,000. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but "hotel california' is one of their classics. Also 'desperado' and 'one of these nights' are worth a listen.

That album, Boston's first, and I think Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell are 3 of my favorites.
