before prepration of IELTS , were u good at basics like grammar vocabulary etc ? my english is not to good i can understand when some one is saying some thing in formal language but not slangs and i can read and write but when it comes to speaking i donot know how to use proper tenses , may be dut to pressure lack of opportunities to communicate with any body i start making silly mistakes and it breaks my flow of fluency also , from where should i start to prepare myself for IELTS from which point, should i revise basics grammar first than thing about IELTS or directly jump into IELTS and besides its prepration i can revise basics , what will be your suggestion dear bro ?

I’ve watched 6 of the 11 Hours of your course, and I think that as long as you learn the structure of writing, all of the IELTS grade is based on your vocabulary, there isn’t any other secret. I have my test in 5 days, and this might be the best guide to watch in the remaining time, thanks a lot.

I was pretty impressed when I watched some videos years ago that you made it clear you wouldn't pursue those types of "Vocabulary" list videos(a philosophy I rooted for too since), and yet here I am again with this. But this clip is different of course, you didn't just demonstrate a list and trying to cram everything, you also explained the synonyms, collocations, examples and WHERE these are used in real essays. It is a content genre I wasn't expecting to see from you, but it is still stand out, well-made and align with this channel's values and virtues: Simple, Actual, Realistic and of course, Advantage(not foolish 9.0 shortcuts).
Keep up with high-quality and "in-depth understanding" videos. Your channel has shaped my mindset in practicing IELTS(I got 8.0 a year ago), purging marketing tricks and shortcuts, and I wish you and your family all the best!

I came across your channel 2 months ago through Facebook for the first time. Since then, I've been following this channel for IELTS guidelines. I learnt how to generate new ideas within a short time and build on that idea from you (this was the main problem I was concerned about). Today I got my IELTS test score. My scores are:
    Listening: 9
    Reading: 8
    Writing: 6.5
    Speaking: 8
    Overall: 8
You simply are the best IELTS instructor. Sometimes it surprises me that I got all these for free. I owe a heartfelt thanks for your guidelines that helped me reach my desired score in my first attempt. Thank you a lot, Chris!

@@Smoke.weed.everyday999 Thank you! So here is how it went :
I gave a complete 2.5 hour mock test at first just to see where I stand. Needless to say I got 6.5 in every section 😅. That's because I was totally unaware about the format of the test. So, I first got familiarised with the test and then observed where my weak points were. I corrected them with every mock test that I took and this time separately...like listening test for a few days, then reading for a few days and then writing and speaking and simultaneously I used to watch this channel and one more known as "Fastrack ielts" for tips and tricks. Applied those and then saw a significant improvement. Lots and lots of mock tests, that's all I did.

@@Smoke.weed.everyday999 it was the same case for me! What I did was I watched some of the youtube videos where they would interview band 9 candidates. I would keenly observe how they would structure their answers, what sort of vocabulary they would utilise and how efficiently they use linking words. After that I would play one more band 9 video and after the interviewer's question I would pause and answer the question out loud and later compare that answer with the candidate's answer and evaluate if mine was coherent or not.

Had the most insane trip to my exam site.
Picture this: an iPad kid wailing to her mom for 4 HOURS straight on my train, hotel AC not working as always, and I managed a grand total of 2 hours of sleep. Downed a liter of pure espresso-my heart was pounding so hard I could feel it behind my corneas 😅. Hot weather, cold sweat dripping down my face, and to top it off, I looked like a legit zombie in my certificate photo. Needed a 5, scored an 8.5. 💪
    Love your Content
Edit : It doesn’t matter though. Speaking 4 languages, 13 years of international work experience, and an 8.5 in IELTS… Still gonna be flipping burgers in Toronto. 🍔

    Hello ielts advantage's team
I was a vip class student. Here I'd like to say many thanks to your team and crish cause thank god I got my goals on my result. Your suggestion really clearing my IELTS mindset. I could understand that it's all about getting used to communicate in English and esp in speaking and writing part : connect with the examiner to understand what the question means cause it's about how we communicate in clarity. I was lost due to conflicting IELTS informations and tips outhere so your lesson was a big help to me. Altough it'll be more perfect if you could give me at least once essay proofreading included in the package (cause hey in fact I should pay extra fee which unaffordable for me LOL), I am satisfied with what I got, so once again thank you so much :)
    Clarity is a king guys
