    I concur Mark. Same thing happened to me. After 11 years with Fuji and struggling so much to get the look my clients wanted, about 18 months ago I bought two Z6ii's and 7 of their Z lenses. I had a big paid shoot on the weekend and I'm going through the images now - like you I'm shaking my head at how gorgeous they are from that 24mp Nikon sensor. People carry on about the bad AFC for the 6ii cameras, but I shoot weddings and fast-moving events, and barely have a blurry photo after taking several thousand images. You just need to know the camera well and which settings to use under which conditions. I'm looking forward to many wonderful years with my Nikons. I tried to deny for years that there was no difference between Fuji APSC and FF, but I only hoodwinked myself. There is all the difference in the world. Keep up the good work and we look forward to more vid's.

      Thank you very much. Yes, there is a huge difference in full frame compared to APS-C, you may not be able to see it on social media, but onscreen when I'm editing them, there's a huge difference. Plus of course that low light and dynamic range, to see such clean photos at such high ISOs in my tests so far had been outstanding. It really has opened up a new world of photography to me.
      Thank you for the kind words, more content coming soon.

    Hi Mark. Good to hear that you are better again. I appreciate your thoughts and why you changed systems. Your arguments for the move to Nikon would be much more clear to me when you would have added just a few comparison images. It is ok to leave Fuji and choose Nikon. I myself owned a Nikon 3 HP in analog times and later on a Nikon D200. I loved them both.
    God bless and thanks again for your amazing content.

      Thank you, it was just a quick thoughts video, and I do have plenty of images on my website. I do have a video planned to compared my M43/APSC/FF shots, as I do have a few images taken on these cameras which are similar. The trouble is of course, even 95% of my viewers use mobile devices, comparisons are pretty much impossible on such small screens, so I'll get them on a blog too and hope that people use bigger screens. Thank you very much for commenting.

    Very interesting and good to hear you are feeling recovered. Not come across you before, been using Nikon since 1980, D750 plus big sigma art for 6 years and feeling it’s a bit of a beast for what it’s worth compared to friends and families everyday pics from iPhones. Was wondering whether to move to smaller system from someone like Fuji, but hearing this and another thing you made makes me think it’s better to stick with Nikon full frame but see if Z5 can deliver the smaller lighter weight and better in camera output that I’d like, but essential that it can easily match the pictures from the phones.

    Hi Mark, first time here. Sorry to hear of your health problems. We all get them as we get older. I sold all my Fuji gear after about 6 years to buy a Nikon Z7 and lenses. I much prefer the handing and use of a larger camera and as you say Nikon colours are just out of this world. I wouldn’t mind a Fuji X-100VI to play with though. I’m a fan of Classic Chrome and would love to find something similar for my Z7. I used to shoot Agfa Chrome film which is similar but was superb when living in sunny South Africa. Subbed.

    I had an accident and ruined my entry level Crop Sensor Canon DSLR, this was during Lockdown and bought a Fuji Xt3 online, I just can’t seem to get along with it. The colours are awful unless you start messing with the WB and the AF can be hit and miss, problem is I can’t afford to just go out and get another camera, as much as I’d like to.
    I’ve never really used Nikon but been looking at the Z6 and Z6ii, I do love the Canon R6 especially the MKii but with Canon stopping us using 3rd party lenses I reckon Nikon is the way to go.

    • @OneCameraOneLens
      @OneCameraOneLens  7 месяцев назад +1

      Fujifilm colour science is the reason many people buy Fujifilm cameras. I tended to stick to an edited version of Classic Chrome, as I didn't really like Astia, Provia or Velvia for most things.
      I am really liking Nikon colours at the moment, I'm just waiting for the weather to change to actually get out and use it much more in nicer weather! Thank you for commenting, and as I say to others, the camera will find you as opposed to you finding the camera. Sometimes, it just works that way.

    Nikon should allow LUTs like panasonic does, this gives the most control for colors

    • @hautehussey
      @hautehussey 7 месяцев назад +1

      What does Nikon “allowing” luts even mean? Luts require a fixed expected input (in a specific color space) and don’t really work for raw data.

    • @LarsSteenhoff
      @LarsSteenhoff 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@hautehussey Look how panasonic does it, on the s5, and yes it works for jpg and video, for raw + jpg its just for the preview to look nice in camera, just raw does not need LUT

    It's funny (disturbing?) how some people get so fanatical about brand loyalty. I believe you should shoot with what you enjoy and what makes photography satisfying. I have no brand loyalty myself. I have a Fuji X-T4 with vintage lenses from multiple manufacturers, an IR converted Canon, an old Olympus CCD sensor camera (which I blame/ credit you for influencing my CCD love), and a Sony Cybershot and Fuji X100V for daily carry cameras. Clearly, I have no brand allegiance! Lol!

      It depends on what genres of photography you enjoy and actually practice. No point in spending loads of cash on camera features you’ll hardly ever use. I have the original Z7 and the photo quality for landscapes and general photography is superb. I couldn’t be happier. If I wanted to shoot sports, wildlife or birds in flight etc then a faster focusing camera would be needed. Beware of GAS and the marketing hype of companies wanting to grab your cash.
