    Today, I’m going to share how to make one of my favorite bread, Cream cheese walnut bread.
    This bread is one of the most loved breads in Korea.
    I really love bread with walnuts. Walnuts give the bread a texture and aroma.
    And the combination of walnuts and cream cheese is so good !
    You can enjoy soft and savory taste with this bread.
    I hope you really try this recipe. It is SUPER GOOD !! ☺️ (My favorite bread 🤎)

    Cream cheese Walnut Bread
    8 buns
    Bread flour 300g (can be All purpose flour)
    Sugar 30g
    Salt 1 tsp (4 g)
    Instant dry yeast 1 1/2 tsp (6g)
    Lukewarm milk 100g
    Lukewarm water 100g
    Unsalted butter 20g
    Chopped walnuts 50g
    - Cream cheese filling
    Cream cheese 200g
    Powdered sugar 25g
    Vanilla extract 1/2 tsp
    Please prepare ✓
    * Leave butter for at least 30 minutes-1 hour at room temperature to get rid of cold.
    * Chop 50 g of walnuts.
    1. Put all the dry ingredients (bread flour, sugar, salt, instant dry yeast) in a clean bowl and lightly mix with a whisk. Add lukewarm milk(100g) + lukewarm water(100g)= total 200g in three portions. Make a moist dough that is neither dry nor too sticky by checking the consistency of the dough by hand. (I used a total of 190g from 200g of milk + water. The amount of water and milk may vary slightly depending on the working environment.) Add softened unsalted butter to the dough. When the butter is well mixed into the dough, transfer it to the workbench.
    2. Begin kneading the dough, pushing it down and then outward, only using the heels of your hands.
    Fold the dough in half toward you and press down.
    If it is getting sticky, add a little more flour. (less then 1 Tbsp) Continue to knead, folding and turning the dough, until it is smooth and supple. You have to keep kneading it to help the gluten develop. This can take as little as 10 to 15 minutes. Take a small piece of dough and slowly stretch it out in opposite directions. If the dough becomes thin enough to appear semi-transparent before it tears, it’s done. And add the prepared chopped walnuts to the dough. Mix well with the dough lightly. (If you knead too much after adding the walnuts, the formed gluten will start to tear, so just mix the walnuts lightly with the dough.) Shape the dough into a smooth ball of dough. Place it in a clean bowl and let dough proof until puffy and doubled in size in a warm place.
    (About 1 hour-1 hour and a half / Hours may vary depending on the working environment.)
    3. Prepare cream cheese filling during the proofing time. Put the amount of cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a clean bowl and mix well to make smooth. Keep it in the refrigerator.
    4. Transfer the dough to the workbench. Press out the gas from the dough and divide it into 8 parts. Shape each dough into a smooth ball of dough. Cover the top with a cotton cloth or plastic wrap and wait for 20 minutes.
    5. Press out the gas from the dough again. Place the smooth side of the dough to the bottom and roll out with a rolling pin. Put the prepared cream cheese filling in the center of the dough (1 Tbsp), carefully gather the dough and pinch the joint to close it well. Place the joint to the bottom of the tray. Press the top of the dough slightly with your palm to make it flat, and then let dough rise in a warm place until 1,5 to doubled in size. (About 40-50 minutes)
    6. Put parchment paper on the dough and put a tray on it to bake the dough flat. Bake for 12 minutes in an oven preheated to 180℃ (356℉) (Time may vary depending on oven specifications.)
    7. Allow to cool it down on a wire rack.
