  • UPDATE: Whilst people are arriving as early as 5am standby passes on average run out at the following times:
    Frozen Journey: 8:30
    Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival: 9:30
    Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure: 10:00
    Fairy Tinkerbell’s Busy Buggies: 9:30
HOWEVER, people have been pleasantly surprised to find that if they keep refreshing the app you can pick up cancellations and still get standby passes as late as 7pm! It’s rare and requires a lot of refreshing in the app and no small amount of luck, but it is possible.
Tokyo DisneySea's Fantasy Springs is going to be INCREDIBLE. But there's a good chance you won't get in... Here's why.

Have my trip booked for the week after Fantasy Springs opens, so that'll be interesting. Will at least be trying to do my best to purchase the Premier Access passes and get there as early as my wife will allow. If I can even see the land, I'll feel satisfied. Even so, we'll still have the rest of DisneySea to explore for the first time. No true loss there.

If you’re coming for the first time you’ll have the best theme park in the world to explore, so you’ll be fine! Fantasy Springs will just be a bonus if you’re able to get in! Get to the gate a couple of hours early and try to get a DPA as soon as you get in, I think you’ll get on 1 ride. Good luck!

Make sure you get to the park the night before your park day (7 or 9pm at the latest) and line up for the park entry because both Standby and DPA will sell out in the flash. Don't underestimate how diligent and patient Japanese people are. We line up for a bowl of ramen overnight here in Japan, and Tokyo Disney fans are some of the craziest you will ever see on the planet.

Was at TDS last week, and was shocked when we walked by the Fantasy Springs entrance area and saw a sign that read "Fantasy Springs is open to all TDS guests". I assumed that meant that only the area was open, not the attractions. To my surprise all the rides were open. It did take a bit of trouble to figure out how to get a "standby" reservation for a ride on the TDR app, but a kind cast member showed us how. We got a pass for Peter Pan, waited only 25 minutes, and it was awesome. By the time we were allowed to get another standby reservation 1.5 hours later all the attractions were booked up. The restaurants were 'mobile order' by app only and this was not working well at all. We gave up trying after 15 minutes. FYI, the TDR app is now available in English and is much easier to use than before. Yay! We felt so lucky to get to see the area and ride at least one attraction. We were not expecting to even get into the area. A very awesome surprise.

I really wanted to go to Japan as soon as my daughter got out of school in May. My husband and mom couldn’t figure out why I was in such a hurry. I kept telling them that I did not want to wait for everyone else to go on vacation in June. So against my wishes, we booked airfare for the week AFTER May, in June.
Then they made their June 6 announcement. Ok great. We have two choices. Be a park warrior like freaking D Day, the second we land, storm the front lines, or go right after Fantasy Springs opens, when BOTH parks will be at capacity, even though we can’t even see Fantasy Springs. So we will land on the 3rd, go straight to the Sheraton, spend time at Bon Voyage and Ikspirari, try to recover from jet lag, go to Disneyland on the 4th, and then DisneySea on the 5th, and hope like hell it’s not busy with content creators, merchandise resellers, and people who have already planned to spend the full week there, instead of a day.

I’ve said this before here, but I’m hoping to go around 2028, and by then Fantasy Springs will be a few years old. I absolutely believe you that it will be super crowded and hard to get into when it first opens, and with the new Space Mountain opened by then I just hope it takes some guests away from Fantasy Springs and Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast.
I suspect that Space Mountain will likely be a similar situation when I plant to go as it will be under a year old, but I’ll likely buy an express pass even if it would be expensive to do so.
Although the fact you said that a parade eight years old gets that much crowds does concern me a little bit. I really want to go and have an amazing experience especially since I know there’s a very high chance I might not be back there for around a decade or longer since I live in America and I know it will be a really expensive flight.

Hate to break it to you but November is real busy. You'll either catch the end of Halloween or the start of Christmas, so expect crowds and arrive early. As for hotels I can't say much. I like the mystays on a budget as it's a short walk from DisneySea, but sometimes it's almost as expensive as the Sheraton or something. If you have the money go for Miracosta or Disneyland hotel. Depends on your budget buddy. Hope that's helpful!

Honestly recently it’s a bit weird, because weekend tickets are more expensive a lot of local guests have begun to prefer weekdays, so they’re getting more and more crowded. If it’s late October everyday is gonna be busy as Halloween is super popular and it’s only running for 1 month this year.

So if my Alexa did the math correctly, the pass that give you unlimited access to the hot new rides is about $155 dollars. Assuming that includes entrance to the entire park, why wouldn't anyone do that for one day?? Esp if you avoid the insane crowds up front. The price gouging at WDW is far worse than that, and has the unbearable Genie+ which requires you spend your magical day with you nose buried in you cell phone rather than immersed in Disney Magic. I would pay for that day pass in a HEARTBEAT over the mess at WDW!!! Some things are worth saving up for & doing right.
Now granted, the price of the hotel is the bigger OUCH to me. But if you go with a few friends and split it, I think it's worth it (at the cheaper one) for a day or two. If you are a family, more saving LOL BTW if the usual price is half of that $155, you guys are cheaper to get into compared to US Disney's. (Prices here range from a little over $100 to $200). Hope you realize how good you have it!! PS anyone doesn't speak US dollars you can do what I just did and put your Alexa to work. Wonder if she has another name there?! lol Tokyo Disney, along w/that Country, is a bucket list item that I'm getting scared I won't make BTW.
