I just came back from a trip to tokyo. I went to disney Sea and TokyoDisneyland. I LOOOVED DisneySea. I got to get into Fantasy Springs. I got on Peter Pan and Frozen. Frozen was an expansion of the one in Epcot and Peter Pan blew my mind. INcredible.
Another good time to visit Japan, or Aulani, is after the first Sunday in May .. .. Aulani for example, goes from High season to Low season from the first Monday in May .. .. And airfares take a dive as well .. .. GOLDEN WEEK ends that first Sunday of May so many vacationers from Japan have to go back to work .. .. I just went to Aulani for 5 days in May and it was heaven!
I absolutely adore Tokyo DisneySea and love how it is so original and unique in its theming without its over reliance on IP implementation. The addition of Fantasy Springs worries me a good bit that it’ll take away from the artistry of the DisneySea park, but I can’t lie, a lot of the scenery looks beautiful. Even the rides don’t look half bad. DisneySea will always be the most GOATED Disney Park 👍
Disney is primarily for girls who love princesses and this includes Sea. It’s great that it attracts a wider audience but if you’re “worried” about frozen and tangled coming I don’t know what to say, this is what Disney is for.
@@jaybee4288 Disney is for innovative and creative and awesome original attraction and park design. Not just the IP fest each and every single of the US parks have become. That’s what concerns me. The IP parasite on the best park
We board the plane tomorrow to head to Tokyo for the first time! So excited!! I’ve been binging all your videos so thank you for the excellent content and information!!!
Here now… Access to Fantasy Springs on a Wednesday was booking quickly at 8:30-9:15 AM. There were a few moments you could buy DPA throughout the day but you needed to move very quickly before it disappeared. So bring a backup charger and keep refreshing.
We stayed at the Sheraton 6/2-6/6, and was blown away by the view!!! We did not get the bay side view like I had hoped. Instead, I looked out the window to find that we were staying in Neverland! There were the volcanos which were smoking, and lit up all night. The monorail passes right in front of it. And the drone show… …a rainbow appeared over Neverland, and then this huge gold ship appeared out of nowhere and sailed across the sky. I’m not a big Peter Pan fan, but am now.
@@lou4057The yen is down right now, but it was about $121. …for something thats basically a deluxe Disney resort. They have complimentary shuttles that run every couple of minutes. One goes straight to Disneyland, another, the main train station at Ikspiari (their downtown Disney) and to the Bay Side Station, which is the monorail loop. The station is so close that we always walked to it on the way there. The bus literally just drops you off across the street from the hotel, which seems a bit silly, but it’s there. The station is also next to the new Fantasy Springs hotel, so you get to check out the exterior. Also, since the monorail runs clockwise, it’s almost empty in the morning. Due to its design, you can sit right up front, and see everything! All the magic that WDW used to have is truly here. The rumors were true! If it weren’t so expensive to fly, we’d go annually from now on! That’s the biggest problem. It’s such a hassle simply getting there, that unlike domestic Disney, you want to stay two weeks, so you’re paying two weeks of hotel, food, and such. So it ends up being more expensive in the long run, but you do get your moneys worth, unlike with domestic Disney.
@@tiffanylastinger3925Oh yeah! I’ve stayed at deluxe. I’ve stayed at the Disneyland Hotel at CA, and Yacht and Beach Club at FL. I’ve also resorted to hopped a few other deluxe hotels. The last Disney hotel I stayed at was a moderate Port Orleans French Quarter. Waited 30-45 minutes for a bus every single time! Our paid/not free MagicBands didn’t arrive in time, and there was no extra magic hours or fastpass. There is zero reason to stay at any Disney resort any more. In Tokyo, the only real perk was Happy Entry, which lets you in 15 minutes before anyone else. I think we waited maybe 5 minutes max. Oh, and for some reason, that monorail… …not many people ride it, so I got to ride up front where it looks like I could pilot it, only there’s no controls. That was extra magical!
I just got back from DisneySea and it’s as amazing as everyone says. There were some important aspects to Fantasy Springs access that I found out along the way. I was there on a Thursday and both standby and premier passes were hard to come by. I was able to book a morning pass as soon as the park opened but I had to check the app throughout the whole day to find another slot in the afternoon. Also, it’s worth noting that you can ONLY go to the attraction that you have a pass for. I thought once you were in Fantasy Springs you could get in line for the other rides but they make you scan your pass even for standby. This was without the one-day passport, of course. That said, it was totally worth the hassle to get in. The area’s decor is incredible and the attractions I did get a chance to ride were some of the best I’ve ever seen in any theme park, Disney or otherwise.
Did you have Happy 15 or were you staying elsewhere? And how early are they letting people in now? And can you hold a Premier Pass and a standby Pass for an attraction in the new Ports at the same time? I've been really curious about the latter.
We were staying elsewhere and we lined up about 2 hours before the listed 9AM opening time. They started letting people in at around 8:15 and we got our tickets scanned about 20-30 minutes after that. I’m actually not sure if you can hold premium and standby passes for Fantasy Springs at the same time because I never saw a time where both were available.
I also just came back and no one talks about this!!! I was under the same impression and even asked some Disney vloggers who all said once you’re in you can get in the standby line for the other rides. THAT IS NOT TRUE. We spent HOURS on the app refreshing constantly to get either a standby or premier pass to the other attractions. HUGE FYI for anyone going that is not discussed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve booked the Vacation Package and have the 1-day passport. It’s $$$ but worth not having stress and having unlimited access to the land and all the rides.

I stayed at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel which doesn’t have happy entry to DisneySea at this point. I thought It’d be fine to go at the park when it officially opened at 9. Entered at 9h05 everything completely sold out to Fantasy Springs on a wednesday. Ok Japanese people, bring it on! The next day I went to the line at 6 am. The park opened for us (without happy entry) at 8:20! Right the second I scanned my ticket I rushed to get my premier access and standby pass! I was able to see everything 🙏🏻 só for people who really want to get inside.. they have to go way before the parks open and just sit there waiting.. Of course, the mortals who don’t have a vacation package haha
Tokyo Disney is at the top of my bucket list, but I am super intimidated about trying to plan it. Do you have a recommendation of a TA who could plan a vacation package “for dummies” that would include the all encompassing ticket? 😁
Been waiting with so much excitement for this video! It was so wonderful to meet you and your team on the 6th. I hope you found a few more of the hidden mickeys. We found 1 more in fantasy springs. It truly was a magical trip and so thankful that everything lined up for us to be there on opening day. Hope you had a safe trip back to the states!
❤❤❤ WOW!!!! I wish I could go to to Japan to see this Disney park. I love the decorations and how the monorail looks so festive with Disney theme!!! Our monorail in Orlando is boring looking. lol. I used to work for Disney Ms reservations center and also at the parks and I have there so many times but I still think Tokyo knocked it all of the park!!!!! Also it wounds like the food is a lot more tastier than in the US!!! ❤❤❤. I need to go!!!!
There is another way to step foot at the Fantasy Springs Hotel without being a guest: dining at the restaurant inside the hotel via the Tokyo Disney Vacation Packages.
LOL I wish I saw this yesterday, I was literally at DisneySea and bought a Peter Pan Nit Cap, and the cashier said she had to scan my ticket because it's a Fantasy Springs item, and it was one purchase per day, so make sure you buy all FS merch at once. I was a bit confused by that since I didn't have access to Fantasy Springs but she said it was fine. I also could have purchased a limited edition Fantasy Springs shopping bag but declined. Now I'm kinda regretting that 😂
I"m excited to go. Question! Can I just make a mobile food order to get into Fantasy Springs, if I don't want to do any of the rides? Would that be an easier way to just get in to see Fantasy Springs?
Watch videos from TDR Explorer. He says that mobile order alone doesn't get you in to Fantasy Springs, you have to have a ride reserved (either paid or free Standby) to enter.
if you go later in nov when it'll be the christmas decor and they will have specialized christmas characters, outfits . last year was micky mouse gnome
Update! Just did research on Tokyo Disney VIP Tour: you need to book certain rooms within the Disney Resorts/Hotels. You cannot just book the tour like in America. I find this so odd that they have you do this. It’s honestly making me think not doing the tour here & just do the VIP Tour at Disney Corporation properties. They only allow you 6 hours, where in the states they allow you to have a minimum of 6 hours & I did 8 hours on a weekend slash holiday.
If staying at fanstasy springs hotel, can we just drop off our merch purchases in the room and come back to the park? Or is it hard to go back and forth
Tokyo Disney is definitely on my bucket list, but I’m not sure if/when I’ll be able to make it there. How many days do you think is necessary to really enjoy yourself at the parks? Is one day per park enough or do you think you need at least two days per park? Maybe just one day in the castle park and two days in Sea? Also, if I went to Japan, I would want to explore the entire country, not just the Disney parks, but do you think it’s better to start a trip with Disney or end your trip with Disney?
Question! I know Tokyo Disneyland is a private company & not apart of the Disney Corporation. With that being said, do you know if they have a VIP Tour & who to speak with?
Hello! What were the wait times for the standby lines when u were there? Were they similar to getting a premier pass? Do u think it is possible to get a standby pass for the night in the evening?

After that, think about whether you want to be at one of the official Disney hotels. There are several other hotels that are right along the monorail line so they're just as convenient and often significantly cheaper. There are different kinds of packages. some are "Japanese" packages where you need an address from within Japan and all documents are in Japanese. Then there are the others geared toward international tourist with English paperwork and will accept addresses and other info from outside of Japan. As for payment. We didn't have any problems with Visa or American Express cards. We found on our trip to really pay attention to signage on what type of cards you can use. A lot of places would only take just visa, just mastercard ect. and cash obviously. I hope this helps and I hope you can get what your looking for. Something to note, at lest for us, we couldn't select packages till a few months out and they open up at the beginning of the month. So if your looking for April 2025 you may not be able to get anything till December. Disney is always updating though so continue to check in every once in a while.
