ScreenPrism Do you girls plan of finishing up the GOT houses symbolism? You still haven't done House Tully. With 4 members(Blackfish,Catelyn,Edmure and Lysa) I'm sure there's enough people to do a symbolism piece.
I think that's another aspect of great writing! The way she's characterized parts of the other houses in the main trio, but they're all Gryffindors and that underlying unity, and emphasis on bravery, passion and reckless that tells a great story and carries adventures and moves the story forward more quickly and easily than the other three houses would have. It would have been cute to see one of each house but it wouldn't be as quaint as a trio, and it could be a little tokenizing, and a little too convenient so the golden trio being what it was, its these details that further etches a mark of profound writing capacities from ours truly JK.
@@lL338 yes I know that. Every house is special with more then just the dumb stereotypes. I was just saying that the trio shows how versatile gryffindors can be
A little late to the party here but Slytherin is notorious for having more pure-bloods than other houses; even the founder wanted to teach pure-bloods only. Gryffindor is known for accepting all; even a well known Gryffindor, Dumbledore, was referred to as an advocate for muggle-borns. I'm sure that was the point the video was trying to make.

"Almost everybody wants to be a Gryffindor." As a member of the biggest Harry Potter meetup group (Dallas, TX), and as a proud Slytherin, I can say that in my experience, this is very untrue. Over the past decade of meetups, parties and dinners, Gryffindor consistently has the smallest membership. Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin out number them every time
jk rowling saying that gryffindor is the "best house" explains exactly why I'm insecure of being in any other house EXCEPT gryffindor. it's like, best typically means you're worth more and I don't like that by definition, I mean less than my peers who are gryffindor...
My B'Day is 31/07 My House Gryffindor although I am not too practical, I go more eccentric and creative I want to do something heroic deeply Though not sure of Fire as my element (I usually choose Grass/Water starter in Pokemon, but its courage to play the game with most difficult starter, like Chesnaught in X and Y or Charizard in Red and Green)
personally took the test multiple times because i thought there was no way i could be gryffindor. bravery- not my strong suit at ALL. but looking at it, it may be the other qualities that I value that places me in in gryffindor
just want to note that salazar slythrin and godric gryfendor were best friends until very later on during the witch hunts of the 1400's , its why slythrin didnt want muggle born's. they never actually had to duel one another
I took that test on the Pottermore website and I got the house Hufflepuff. Once I read up on it, my personality kinda fits Hufflepuff mottos or morals.
At the beginning, I didn't believe that I was a Gryffindor. In fact, I thought that Gryffindor was the worst house to be in because of the negative backlash it gets on the internet, as many people believe that all Gryffindors are arrogant pricks. I thought Hufflepuff or Slytherin would be a good house to be in, but as I grew up I saw more Gryffindor traits in me. It was even inspiring to me when I felt insecure, I would remember to keep trying like a Gryffindor. This video was really great to see as it showed that Gryffindors are more than the popular house, but a house of perseverance.
CraftyFox the same applied with other houses except you don’t see Gryffindor appearing on every RUclips comment sections desperately asking for attention lmao
I always felt the the 4-qualities Bravery Resourcefulness Loyalty Cleverness Creates a balance between all houses. And that Gryffindor and Hufflepuff are like a twin. And Slytherin and Ravenclaw are like a twin as well. For instance bravery and loyalty both play hand in hand with risk taking, selflessness, and putting your life on the line for others. While Resourcefulness and Cleverness have a more self-preservation attribute. All qualities are great, but are much better in balance. I will say that Hermione was the only one I believe that possessed all qualities in balance. And she evolved it overtime. She is clever and takes risk. Meaning she manages to get herself and others out of harm. She is resourceful making use of what she has or is lacking and taking advantage of certain situations and she is loyal always in maintaining harmony even when everyone is at odds.
I wouldn’t say that ‘cleverness’ is the defining trait of ravenclaw, rather wit, wisdom, a thirst for knowledge, and accepting others. You don’t have to be clever to show these traits, and not all ravenclaws are super smart (think Lockhart) so it’s kind of unfair to use that as a quality when you’ve got the other houses true qualities
And to think, if Salazar got his way, she would never be able to get her education & exposure to the Wizarding World & truly learn how to balance all of those elements. Well said ☺️
Same honestly! All of my friends are from Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Hufflepuff and I’m one of the few Gryffindors in my friend groups and I get scared telling people I’m in Gryffindor because everyone already has some negative opinion that Gryffindors are self-centered or just dumb assholes which hurts. Or the people in Gryffindor are just in there to be because the main three are Gryffindors and we just want to be cool. So this was really nice to see.
I think it might be more accurate to say the Sorting Hat evaluates the student's VALUES rather than their personality or "potential". Since prophecy in the Harry Potter universe is shown to often be a prediction of possibility/probability, but is otherwise self-fulfilling, it's not that the Sorting Hat prophesied Neville's courage. Nor did it follow his wishes either because he asked to be placed in Hufflepuff. Nor does it base it on personality as members of the same family often all end up in the same house... I think the Sorting Hat gauges their values, what each person thinks is the most important guiding principle, which will be a determining factor for a person regardless of their personality, and as such can be taught/learned to a degree that would reflect families being in the same house while having different personalities and inclinations (Weasleys, Malfoys, Blacks). But most importantly, would allow for someone like Harry or Sirius to choose a different path despite having an inclination towards cunning and ambition, while also being something Neville couldn't choose himself out of simply because of his low self-esteem. It also explains where someone who ended up being so courageous like Snape, where if the Hat could see the future might have put him in Griffindor, could still be in Slytherin, because Snape still valued pragmatism, ambition, and cunning throughout his life despite having plenty of courage. So I think the Sorting Hat could see that Neville still valued his parents' courage above all else, despite not thinking he had that same quality in himself, so despite the Hat not being able to see the future that Neville would develop that courage, it saw that since he valued it so highly he likely would develop that quality with some encouragement because he VALUED it. It saw that while Harry was pragmatic/cunning/ambitious, he VALUED courage to do the right thing more, and in contrast while Severus had plenty of courage and would do the right thing despite personal risk in loads of situations, he still VALUED the pragmatic approach much more. Harry and Snape are two sides of a very similar coin.
See, my theory has always been that the hat sorted as it did because it was prepping for the coming war. Harry in Gryffindor, of course, because a Slytherin influence would be terrible. Neville in Gryffindor because the prophecy was just as easily about him as Harry so he must have *something* special about him . Hermione in Gryffindor because if you're fighting a war, having the brightest witch on your side matters.
Lumos SK Thanks, I'd heard other people say stuff about it determining your values, but not really an explanation for what they meant, so I tried to come up with one. Glad it makes sense to you then. ☺
@@achyuththouta6957 Hatstall. What do you want to be? Is courage or cleverness more important to you? Neville wanted to be in Hufflepuff not because he was a coward and incapable of courage, but because he didn't think he was. Between his grandmother constantly saying that he was not living up to his father's standards and the common expectation that courageous people are fearless, he didn't think bravery was for him, while not realizing that courage is shown where there is fear, but persisting anyway. And that was something he did value and have like his parents. Is your defining drive to know and understand or create and express things with your mind? Or do you want to change the way things are or make sure important things aren't lost? What drives you most? If faced with the choice between the two (does your pursuit of mental excellence have to be something that challenges people, or is it more purely about what interests you? if the thing you feel you SHOULD do despite it being scary happens to mean you don't learn anything new, does that sap your motivation?), would you burn books and art to change the world now, or be more inclined to a longer-term belief that knowledge and expression would help to improve the next generation of people and it isn't right to try to force a change on your terms? I was stuck between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw for years and only settled into recognizing that I am a clever Hufflepuff, like Hermione is a clever Gryffindor... Maybe you're like Hermione, or maybe you're more like Luna, who is a courageous Ravenclaw. 🙂 As the stories tell us themselves, courage, wit, empathy, and ambition can be found in people from all houses. Which house you are in forces you to consider which is the one that influences your choices most...
@@lvnazz4027 o thank god harry is atleast on the list in the fandom we gryffindors are fans and harry is only a do gooder who cares about sass and bravery and chivlary right!!
I'm a Hufflepuff and I was really hoping that Ravenclaws would be next because hardly anyone give Ravenclaws any attention other than the stereotype of Ravenclaws being a bit stuck up with learning and things. Even though Hufflepuffs get a lot of hate I still want Ravenclaws to be next. I think they most likely will do Slytherins next because they are the next most popular house. But after that who knows what order it would be in
Mae Mitchum I hope Hufflepuff is next, followed by Ravenclaw then Slytherin. As a Ravenclaw, I really do appreciate your kindness. Wasn't madame Hooch a Hufflepuff professor?
I used to hate Gryffindor because all the hate getting out towards it, and forced myself to believe I was a ravenclaw. But that never really suit me, and I could see more Gryffindor traits in me. Now I know that I am a true Gryffindor, and I am proud of it.
To me you can ask to be in any house except hufflepuff. Slytherin- you are ambitious enough to ask Ravenclaw- you are wise enough to know that this is a loophole Gryffindor - you are brave enough to challenge to hat But for hufflepuff you should trust the hat and be loyal to what it wants so a true hufflepuff wouldn’t ask to be anywhere else.
I believe gryffindor was brave enough to ask and challenge the hat. In the second book Harry questions why he was a gryffindor and Dumbledore says that it's cause he asked and challenged the hat
Shouldn't Hufflepuff also be able to ask the hat to be in Hufflepuff if their dearest friend has already been sorted there and they don't want to part?
People talk about how Hufflepuff and Slytherin are underrated and everyone wants to be Gryffindor when in reality, Hufflepuff and Slytherin take 75% - if not more- of the student sorting population on the internet, let alone less meme highlight content. Only by then in the end, make Gryffindor seem more diminutive and recieve more backlash than all houses from the stereotype portrayed in the movies. As an Ex-Hufflepuff, I can say even though we are the house of the jocks, the overrated, and the self-centered, we also treasure all houses values as we value kindness, cunningness, and of course wisdom. The only difference is that we decided to be in it independently. Thats the only different quality the house and the people in it portrays among the rest. To have leadership, bravery and the strength to protect those who even if they spit on us, give a cold shoulder, admire or love deeply. That is our pride, and the pride will never crumble from those who assume the worst of one. We dint decided to be in it because it's the houde of the protagonists. We decided because that's what we value. I hope this clears up any misunderstandings by belonging in this house.
Nova Morphex ex hufflepuff ? What , I never saw any gryffindores jump ship to be in ravenclaw , what you got is what you get . But I’d love to know why it changed
@@blakedavis2447 Then you're probably either living under a rock because people have the right to decide who they seem most fitting at. Irl we dont have a real hat to really sort us out so we rely on quizzes that don't even clear out what we really are. I thought I was a Hufflepuff for being caring and considerate in general, besides being silly for cheer ups. I went straight to Griffindor for the sole reason that bravery is something I value most out of me, because living as a dependent person, it takes a lot to become independent, and it is a topic that really gets to me personally that I both fear yet yearn at the same time. Being myself is easy, but the impact doesn't compare to this. It is why I would proudly let down the Hufflepuff diagnosis and put on the Gryffindor coat. Hopefully that clears it up.
Liza Johnson first of all I’m not a hufflepuff, secondly if we’re all gonna play the same game might as well use the right rules , look I get it I do it’s pretend but you don’t get to switch houses or be in a “hybrid house” according to the books , at that point might as well be making up a whole new house if none of them make you happy as they are
I always loved Ravenclaw, but I took the Pottermore Sorting Hat quiz and got Gryffindor lol. After watching this video, it actually makes more sense why I got that instead.
I was sorted in Ravenclaw but after the video I realized that according to my life experience and choices I've been a Gryffindor... I am conflicted, I guess I aspire to be more like a Ravenclaw, a bit more curious and creative.
I am a Gryffindor myself but I have a problem with the way Slytherin is portrayed in this video. I believe that Slytherins are very intuitive, clever and know to recognize opportunity when they see one. I know those are the qualities of a cunning person but those are the qualities that the most successful people have as well. I did a lot of case studies on the business moguls for a class I took, and with an exception of few like Bill Gates, most of them are Slytherins. I hope you guys consider this when you make the Slytherin video! Love the content!!
The Harry Potter is a villain video (which seems to have been deleted) is so bad it makes me question the perspectives of their other videos which up till now I have found quite insightful.
Glad that you guys are doing a video analysis series on the Hogwarts Houses. Although I'm a lone Hufflepuff in a sea of Gryffindors when it comes to my friend group, I can see why so many people would want to be associated with that house. I speculate that if you believe that you obtain trademark qualities of a certain group or category, than you will become more like this group. Can't wait for your other house videos!😊
Caitriona Quigley dude that’s awesome. Risk taking, prideful heroic Griffindor types NEED the good influence of a nurturing, compassionate Hufflepuff types if they’re going to put their qualities to good use. I’ll bet your friends see you as an asset in a way 🙂
You know it's funny. Because everyone wants to be in the Gryffindor house, I was hoping to be put in a different house based on the Pottermore quiz thingy and I was disappointed to find out that I'm a Gryffindor.
Eventhough I'm in Griffindor. Hufflepuffs need love they are freaking awesome. Like Hufflepuff should be feared the most because the nicest ones are the most badass. The momenr you fuck up with a hufflepuff is the moment you have a real problem xD.
I never really felt that Harry could be in Slytherin. Initially I thought the hat thought to put him there just because JK wanted some tension, but later on you find out that Harry has a piece of Voldemort's soul inside of him and that was probably what the hat was picking up.
I've always gravitated towards Huffle Puff because is the underdog's house. They are shunned by the other houses and called the worst house just because the creator believed that everyone should be welcomed regardless of their attributes, and ppl often translate that to 'leftovers'. Ppl also tend to forget that our house patronous is a HONEY BADGER, one of the most badass animals out there. BLACK AND YELLOW 4 LIFE
Hufflepuff is probably the most awesome house. It's not the leftover's house. It's the house of those who put themselves in the background and don't search for attention. It's the house of humble people. They could achieve anything if they wanted. But they are people who choose to be simple. Probably that's the best quality of all. I have great respect them
Tell that to Newt Scamander. I honestly think people who can belong in Hufflepuff are admirable. To act against self image or benefits is another kind of bravery. You have to have a very strong will and sense of love, moral to maitain that. I think Hufflepuffs and Griffindors acts the same for a lot of times, but for different reason and in different styles. I'm sorted in Gryffindor, but I'd say if there's a house with the least flaw and downside it'll be Hufflepuff.
5:09 „And of course Gryffindors do think they are in the best house“: ...yeah, like every other person-house pride is a thing shared by all I quite liked this video, however, I was suprised by the fact that the first 4 minutes were entirely spend on „bravery“, as if it‘s the only characteristic of a Gryffindor. The main point, loyalty, was blaked out until further in the video, which made it „drown“ in different informations.
LOVE this new series, it made me so happy to see this in my feed. I’m excited for the Hufflepuff video (my house!) and hopefully a look at how you become a hero in a house that rejects violence and brashness as a means of doing so. I would like to see you examine Newt Scamander and Nymphadora Tonks, who are both heroic Hufflepuffs in their own respects, but achieve it through acceptance and kindness rather than wisdom, cunning, or bravery. I’m excited!!
O Universo Leitor Well, Peter can't be described a person of wisdom and Professor Mcgonagall often found him foolish. He wasn't loyal either. He wasn't ambitious, he didn't really want recognition for his work , as much as I know I think he only wanted to live. He betrayed his friends which is a bad thing but this reason alone can't put him in Slytherin since he wasn't cunning enough. It could be possible that Peter asked the Sorting Hat to put him in Gryffindor with him aspiring to be brave but he failed to do so .
I think that there are anti-these characters for the stereotypes of each house. Gryffindors are considered brave yet the most coward character of the entire series (Peter) is a Gryffindor. Ravenclaw are seen as bookworms yet the most out of the box thinking character (Luna) is a Ravenclaw. Slytherins are considered selfish yet the most selfless characters (Snape and Regulus Black) are Slytherin. Huflepuff are seen as boring yet the original triwizard champion of Hogwarts was a Hufflepuff and not to forget Nymphadora badass Tonks who came to fight in the battle of Hogwarts right after giving birth.
Lumos SK People have different theories about sorting of houses. But the one they explain here is the original one. You can identify some characteristics of other houses in a person of gryffindor or vice versa. I think Peter is shown as a coward to show that your house isn't the ONLY one to define like what Dumbledore said. Ravenclaws aren't exactly bookworms either (I can tell since I am a ravenclaw too).Ravenclaw is also a symbol for individuality which Luna represents. Slytherins aren't as I believe selfish, just cunning. They do care about others but if they had to choose between their life and others, they would choose their life instead (self preservation). Also, no one said Hufflepuffs are boring, they are just loyal, I haven't found one Hufflepuff to be boring. Not Newt, Cedric, Tonks, Teddy or any other Hufflepuff.
Just for the record, I really don't think that "Gryffindor is considered the best house by most Potterheads" (4:18). I actually get the feeling that seriously big Harry Potter fans are more likely to hate on Gryffindor than any other house. I'm a Ravenclaw by the way :)
@@pamelacioli nah cause they feel way more self entitled and they get literally everything handed to them on a plate or they did when Tywin was alive. Slytherin is more like the Freys jealous of what stronger houses have.
@@TheAztecGamer123 they dont get everything handled lol its just harry cause hes famous. both slytherin and lannisters are rich and see themselves as superiors, they are ambitious and cunning, take tywin and tyrion for example. the gryffindors are very impulsive and hot blooded, they act before thinking and have a huge pride, thats targaryens traits, daenerys is just like harry
Gryffindors are the Starks of this story. They're the ones we root for. Slytherins are Lannisters (Or maybe Targaryen) They're the characters we love to hate.
I’m a true Gryffindor 1 Pottermore sorted me in Gryffindor 2 Buzzfeed sorted me in Gryffindor 3 I’m a Sagittarius and my element is 🔥 4 personality tests say that my inner animal is a lion
I've always found it kinda interesting how the Gryffindor's mascot (The Lion) is the only one among the houses whose animal lives in a group rather than in solitude. I think it's supposed to symbolize how Gryffindors greatly value their relationships with each other, and often work best in teams. While the other houses don't necessarily depend on one another to achieve their goals, Gryffindors know that there's strength in numbers, and working with others is what drives them to succeed. Pretty fascinating :))
Dear Slytherins, Remember, presenting Gryffindors as one-dimensional bullies is as bad as Rowling presenting Slytherins as one-dimensional villains. Thanks for reading!
I have a slightly different take on being a Gryffindor. Bravery, chivalry, and a heart of gold aren’t personality traits. What defines a Gryffindor is wanting to be set apart from the crowd. We pursue things head on with a zeal that can be taken as either bravery or stupid recklessness because we want the recognition that results. This attitude generally leads to a collection of awards and accolades because that is exactly what we’re after. But we’re only after these things because society values them. If hypothetically they valued other, morally dubious things, we’d be in pursuit of those. Turns out, society has a decent moral compass, so Gryffindors’ drive tends to lead them to accomplish lots of great, and sometimes heroic, deeds. That’s why some people see Gryffindors as show boaters, because they think some Gryffindors place relatively too little value on the morality of an act and too much value on being recognized for doing something good. That’s why you can choose to be a Gryffindor. The fact that you even thought about asking to be something that has already been framed as “the best” shows that you possess the qualities identifiable to a Gryffindor. And there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be seen as the very best. It’s a drive that, if properly balanced, can be seen as a drive to self-improve and grow. Gryffindors are constantly in a pursuit of growth, not just against others, but against our past selves. We can be aspirational, inspiring others to challenge themselves to be and do better. That’s why Gryffindors find themselves being treated as leaders. Not because they necessarily view the leadership position as the “recognition” they want (aka we don’t always ask for it), but because our strong belief in moving forward and strive to bring out the best in themselves also makes it easy to see the best that other people can be, believing strongly that they can achieve it too, all while leading by example. This attitude projecting internally and externally can garner admirers and followers and be used to push for action and change in the world. This is why we are allegorically Hogwarts’ sword. We aren’t just knights, we aspire to achieve the high standard given to their reputation. We are action-minded because once we identify our next goal, our first instinct is to just go for it. We’re brave because we trust our own abilities SO much that we don’t even need to pause to consider whether we can achieve our goals. We believe we can. And if or when we fall short, we still trust in the process and understand that we achieved something important simply from the effort of trying and the self-growth that inevitably came from that effort. And this is what differentiates Gryffindor from Slytherins! Otherwise, the two houses are quite similar and why they are portrayed as constantly at heads with one another. If they’re in pursuit of the same goal (ie. the house cup) both are highly driven by that end and for that end. However, Gryffindors approach that goal with action, zealousness, and a strong belief that things will turn out fine no matter what. Slytherins approach that same goal strategically, taking the time before they take action to plot out their moves, think through possible barriers to their goals, and strategize to remove those barriers so that the path to their goals is highly successful and efficient. Depending on the type of task and the surrounding circumstances, both strategies might have an equal chance of “winning”. However, if Slytherins don’t see a way to win, they may not even begin, while Gryffindors don’t even take that into consideration in the first place.
I love what you said about Gryffindors abiding by a strong moral code and that being the characteristic that guides them through life. Sure I'm stubborn, impulsive, and prideful but thats not what I ultimately believe makes me a Gryffindor. I'm intelligent, I am kind and loyal, I can be ambitious, but none of these qualities are what I consider my most important. Rather I live my life a moral code and its that determination to always do the right thing regardless of whether its smart or doesn't benefit me that makes my a Gryffindor. I value doing the right thing and being a good person above everything else in life.
This is seriously the content that I look for in RUclips. I came for the GOT houses, but stayed for your consistent and high quality analysis. You girls rock!!!
I've always thought that the only reason the sorting hat considered sending harry to Slytherin was because of the horcruxe, like it could sense the (very slytherin) part of voldemort in him. Harry himself is truly and only a Griffindor.
Got the same reaction. I'm hufflepuff fiancé to a Slytherin with most of my friends being form other house than Gryffindor. And I would like to keep it like that. Gryffindor are really really to reckless. To be brave is useless if you keep getting yourself in dangerous or stupid situations! Sorry I had to rant a little.
As a Gryffindor I can say we are the most hated house, because of it I was insecure being one. This video makes me proud to be one and not to let others' words affect me. I always come here when in doubt of myself and it always helps.
What about Peter Pettigrew? Even though he was in Gryffindor he was wasn’t really brave because he gave up Lily and James and the only act of “bravery” was at the very end when he showed Harry some mercy and then the hand killed him
Miro Kai That’s really interesting and well worded! Thanks for pointing out the other side of things :) I’ll have a different view on Peter from now on
Your Houses come from your values and the kind of person you deep down want to be. The House is an environment that will best facilitate them to become those people.
I'm a gryffindor, and even though I wish I was Ravenclaw, I can definitely see myself as a Gryffindor because I have a passion for life and because I choose to do the right thing of course its not about your abilities but your choices.
I took the Pottermore and got Griffendor, but I never understood because I don’t think of myself as very outgoing or brave, but those aren’t the only traits that Griffendors have and it’s less of a personality thing and more of a personal thing
Oh yes. Gryffindor. So moral and good that the Weasely twins booed and hissed at 11 year olds that got sorted into Slytherin. Yeah. Nothing says "welcome" like an entire table booing you. How heroic.

maybe she said that in her own opinion only, you are defined not only bc of your house.
Really enjoyed your Hogwarts series! PLEASE do one for Ravenclaw!

My House Gryffindor
although I am not too practical, I go more eccentric and creative
I want to do something heroic deeply
Though not sure of Fire as my element (I usually choose Grass/Water starter in Pokemon, but its courage to play the game with most difficult starter, like Chesnaught in X and Y or Charizard in Red and Green)
personally took the test multiple times because i thought there was no way i could be gryffindor. bravery- not my strong suit at ALL. but looking at it, it may be the other qualities that I value that places me in in gryffindor
just want to note that salazar slythrin and godric gryfendor were best friends until very later on during the witch hunts of the 1400's , its why slythrin didnt want muggle born's. they never actually had to duel one another
You should create a series on the enneagram types!
Ravenclaw shouldn’t be defined as ‘wisdom’ for me ‘creativity’ capitulates it more accurately
this is amazing, please do the other houses to

I can’t wait for Ravenclaw! 😃
I always thought Gryffindor was the House I'd belong in. But the Sorting Hat said no. It put me in Ravenclaw.
Ravenclaw are better than the other house. We are the best and the smartest!
Proud to be a Gryffindor

Snowy QwQ I want to be a hufflepuff
oh my god I'm already so excited for the Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff Houses lmfao
RAEBELE proud hufflepuff here ☺️
The last time I went to pottermore I was either a Gryffindor or a ravenclaw
I'm also a Hufflepuff
Annette Wong love all of you Hufflepuffs
sincerely, a Slytherin
Same I asked my friend who liked Harry Potter she was like I think your either a RavenClaw or a slitherin but I realized I'm like Neville
Perseverance, ambition and determination are slytherin traits
Yep
And congratulations you are in a house with a billion people, just like always....
CraftyFox the same applied with other houses except you don’t see Gryffindor appearing on every RUclips comment sections desperately asking for attention lmao
I always felt the the 4-qualities
Bravery
Resourcefulness
Loyalty
Cleverness
Creates a balance between all houses.
PumpkinEskobarr that theory is amazing! Her name hermione even sounds like harmony
Well said ☺️
Loyalty is also self-preserving. A group would break apart without it, and humans need to be in a group to survive.
Hermione in the books was book-smart but not wise socially. Not exactly, that risky. They butchered Ron in the movies
First GOT houses, now HP houses. You girls keep having a really great fantasy content. Great video.
SAME!!
Lord Reyne of Castemere sorry but what’s GOT??
Game Of Thrones!
The Lanisters and the lions.. Hmmmm..
I don't think Gryffindor is the most loved house XD according with the commentary section
This video made me prouder to be Gryffindor.
Awesome :)
Same.
@@ghostofpolaris Sorry but it kinda seems like a lie
Cookies_ Yt what seems like a lie?
I think that's the best explanation I've heard on the decision making process of the sorting hat
Lumos SK
Thanks, I'd heard other people say stuff about it determining your values, but not really an explanation for what they meant, so I tried to come up with one. Glad it makes sense to you then. ☺
@@EmethMatthew now you've said it I am confused whether I am a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor

Can't wait to see my house Ravenclaw :)
We rarely get any acknowledgement. I cant wait either
But after that who knows what order it would be in
A lot of people want to be in hufflepuff because hardly no one famous in the story is a hufflepuff.
Same...:)
Same, I wanted to be a ravenclaw because then I don’t seem like a fake fan. But it didn’t felt right. Nowadays I am proud to be a gryffindor
"Almost everybody want to be a Gryffindor" - that's actually untrue. Most people prefer Ravenclaw or Slytherin.
To me you can ask to be in any house except hufflepuff.
Slytherin- you are ambitious enough to ask
Ravenclaw- you are wise enough to know that this is a loophole
Gryffindor - you are brave enough to challenge to hat
But for hufflepuff you should trust the hat and be loyal to what it wants so a true hufflepuff wouldn’t ask to be anywhere else.
+
That was beautiful :')
PUFF PRIDE 💛
Amy Clarke what do you mean by ravenclaw knowing it is a loophole?
I believe gryffindor was brave enough to ask and challenge the hat. In the second book Harry questions why he was a gryffindor and Dumbledore says that it's cause he asked and challenged the hat
Shouldn't Hufflepuff also be able to ask the hat to be in Hufflepuff if their dearest friend has already been sorted there and they don't want to part?
Dumbledore: I haven't watched the entire video, but who cares?? 100 points to gryffindor.

They totally did! It was ruining their channel's reputation. I unsubbed because of that.
Lol what was the other Harry Potter take about ?? Why was it not well received???
Just curious, I haven’t seen it
@@deplamarijke2555 it was about Harry being not a good guy. But the video was poorly made like superrrrr poorly
Nova Morphex lmao “in real life we don’t have a hat to sort us” yea and magical houses in a wizard school aren’t real either ,play by the rules fool
Maria Jay I was set on being Hufflepuff and ended up in Ravenclaw. Now I can't imagine being in any other house

You can retake it and become a Ravenclaw I played with the quiz on pottermore a lot.
I was sorted in Ravenclaw but after the video I realized that according to my life experience and choices I've been a Gryffindor... I am conflicted, I guess I aspire to be more like a Ravenclaw, a bit more curious and creative.
@@FITMK01 my first time, I was chosen as a ravenclaw , I'm not ashamed, I just wanted to play as other houses as well.

Hi
I never really felt that Harry could be in Slytherin. Initially I thought the hat thought to put him there just because JK wanted some tension, but later on you find out that Harry has a piece of Voldemort's soul inside of him and that was probably what the hat was picking up.
I think that Harry's true personality ( without Voldemort's soul ) aligns quite well with Gryffindor .
THIS is the quality content I signed up for!!!!
BLACK AND YELLOW 4 LIFE
Our House rules. It is known. It is true.
Hufflepuff is probably the most awesome house. It's not the leftover's house. It's the house of those who put themselves in the background and don't search for attention. It's the house of humble people. They could achieve anything if they wanted. But they are people who choose to be simple. Probably that's the best quality of all. I have great respect them
Its not a honey badger, it's a European badger...
House patronus?
Tell that to Newt Scamander. I honestly think people who can belong in Hufflepuff are admirable. To act against self image or benefits is another kind of bravery. You have to have a very strong will and sense of love, moral to maitain that. I think Hufflepuffs and Griffindors acts the same for a lot of times, but for different reason and in different styles. I'm sorted in Gryffindor, but I'd say if there's a house with the least flaw and downside it'll be Hufflepuff.
Anyone else with a Slytherclaw identity crisis?
Willa W Huffleclaw here. I feel your pain.

5:09 „And of course Gryffindors do think they are in the best house“: ...yeah, like every other person-house pride is a thing shared by all
I quite liked this video, however, I was suprised by the fact that the first 4 minutes were entirely spend on „bravery“, as if it‘s the only characteristic of a Gryffindor. The main point, loyalty, was blaked out until further in the video, which made it „drown“ in different informations.
I love Gryffindors, but I love being a Hufflepuff.

I’m excited!!
talacine As am I! Loved your comment.
Come on we as all know Gryffindor is the best one I'm in Gryffindor
Jolteon RPGplayer I’m in Gryffindor and totally disagree ha 😅
I would love to know what you have to say about Peter Pettigrew
O Universo Leitor ahahahaha
Well. Every house has its failures. Every one of us has the potential for doing bad things.
As a fellow gryffindor i hate him fucking piece of shit
Just for the record, I really don't think that "Gryffindor is considered the best house by most Potterheads" (4:18). I actually get the feeling that seriously big Harry Potter fans are more likely to hate on Gryffindor than any other house.
I'm a Ravenclaw by the way :)

4 personality tests say that my inner animal is a lion
I've always found it kinda interesting how the Gryffindor's mascot (The Lion) is the only one among the houses whose animal lives in a group rather than in solitude. I think it's supposed to symbolize how Gryffindors greatly value their relationships with each other, and often work best in teams. While the other houses don't necessarily depend on one another to achieve their goals, Gryffindors know that there's strength in numbers, and working with others is what drives them to succeed. Pretty fascinating :))
So we’ll said!
Dear Slytherins,
Remember, presenting Gryffindors as one-dimensional bullies is as bad as Rowling presenting Slytherins as one-dimensional villains.
Thanks for reading!
Personally, I prefer Ravenclaw. With Slytherin as a close second. Intelligence and cunning and all that.
For me gryffindor and hufflepuff are the best because bravery loyalty kindness are more important to me
Please do ravenclaw!!
I'd love to see a video on Slytherin. It's time the green house gets some love!
Proud gryffindor here! I always knew it in my heart. Also got sorted to gryffindor in Pottermore!
I am a Hufflepuff.
Not a joke
Me too
Hufflepuff all the way
PUFF PUFF YHEAAA
I am a gryffindor but i love hufflepuffs
This is seriously the content that I look for in RUclips. I came for the GOT houses, but stayed for your consistent and high quality analysis. You girls rock!!!
I've always thought that the only reason the sorting hat considered sending harry to Slytherin was because of the horcruxe, like it could sense the (very slytherin) part of voldemort in him. Harry himself is truly and only a Griffindor.
I took a test and I got...
GRYFFINDOR!
YASSS ITS MY DREAM HOUSE AND IM A GRYFFINDOR! YAY :D
"Almost everybody wants to be a griffindor." I beg to differ. Literally everybody i know (including me of course) is firmly on Team Slytherin.
Gryffindor for life!
Fuck yeah, Slytherin 💚🐍
Got the same reaction. I'm hufflepuff fiancé to a Slytherin with most of my friends being form other house than Gryffindor. And I would like to keep it like that. Gryffindor are really really to reckless. To be brave is useless if you keep getting yourself in dangerous or stupid situations! Sorry I had to rant a little.
Yeah, we wanted to be Griffindors when we were little, but we grew up and see the things are not like in the book. For good and for bad.
MyJokerT They don't have to be though, there's a spectrum
Lol I’m a slytherin and proud
Always rooted for Harry but gotta admit my sneaky ass would never fit into this House.
I've been hoping for so long that you guys would do more Harry Potter!!!!
As a Gryffindor I can say we are the most hated house, because of it I was insecure being one. This video makes me proud to be one and not to let others' words affect me. I always come here when in doubt of myself and it always helps.
From Game of Thrones Houses to Harry Potter Houses. Good job, ladies. We can say that this is a "home run" ;)
What about Peter Pettigrew? Even though he was in Gryffindor he was wasn’t really brave because he gave up Lily and James and the only act of “bravery” was at the very end when he showed Harry some mercy and then the hand killed him
Emma Brook like Dumbledore said, it's our choices that make us who we are. His whole life Peter decided to be a coward, then he decided not to be.
Miro Kai That’s really interesting and well worded! Thanks for pointing out the other side of things :) I’ll have a different view on Peter from now on
@Miro Kai Remus died in the war he was no coward
Do hufflepuff
Ravenclaw is the highest house for sure
O Universo Leitor both metaphorically and literally lol.
I think I'd be more suited for that one since I don't have loyalty nor bravery nor ambition
I don't have much wisdom either, dang
Sofia Laya take the text on Pottermore! It's a lot of fun
O Universo Leitor | I thought that was Hufflepuff. Huff le puff. 🚬
and yet, HUFFLEPUFF remains the house with the least amound of dark wizards
dark wizards cant do any bad on an empty stomach , and the other houses probably pissed off that 1 hufflepuff
.... What's your point
Your Houses come from your values and the kind of person you deep down want to be. The House is an environment that will best facilitate them to become those people.
Please do the missing Friends-Video on Pheobe!
HAL 9000 your first
Isa Mekail Mahmud *sigh*
I'm sorry dave, I'm afraid I can not do that
YES!!
But btw, it's Phoebe. :)
Slytherin Pride
I see that you made your Harry Potter video private. Such cowards!
I'm a gryffindor, and even though I wish I was Ravenclaw, I can definitely see myself as a Gryffindor because I have a passion for life and because I choose to do the right thing of course its not about your abilities but your choices.
Once more a great video. Ravenclaw soon?
I took the Pottermore and got Griffendor, but I never understood because I don’t think of myself as very outgoing or brave, but those aren’t the only traits that Griffendors have and it’s less of a personality thing and more of a personal thing
Oh yes. Gryffindor. So moral and good that the Weasely twins booed and hissed at 11 year olds that got sorted into Slytherin. Yeah. Nothing says "welcome" like an entire table booing you. How heroic.
i don’t remember that being in books, mind finding me the quote?
Not everyone in gryffindor is moral just as not everyone in Slytherin is evil. ❤️💚
Can't wait for hufflepuff
Proud slytherin who else?
I wanted to be a ravenclaw... So I did the sorting hat thing on Pottermore twice with another account and I still got Gryffindor.
This video is so amazing
I’m a Leo through and through, and no doubt a gryffindor!
Katarina Shaner same!
Same here!!
Will other houses be featured too?
Man this made me burst into tears and and I'm not even in the house. I really hope they talk about Hufflepuffs.
dayrohan I know I’m replying to a year old comment, but this is probably the most Hufflepuff comment I’ve seen 😂
Kriss is Kross I actually am a Hufflepuff and I'm, glad they talked about the other houses too. 🥰
