  • This is a quick video to show you how to attach the removeable bootstrap (CRS) on a recent Bauer pad. While this pad is a Vapor 1X, the 2X, 2S and other models in the lineup use the same system.
    This video doesn't exactly show you how to remove the bootstrap... but you just do the same thing in the reverse order ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    One thing to know is that on a brand new set of pads, the tab that you thread the hook portion of the boot strap through (the first step in the video) is tucked into a pocket for people that don't use the boot straps. It looks look the tab is missing. It's not, it's just tucked away out of side. Great video. Very helpful! After watching it, we finally realized when the tab was hidden. Thanks!

    Hey Matt. Where do you get the boot strap kit. I got a new set of GSX junior pads for my son. It came with everything except the leather T that holds that black loop. The place I got it has no idea and what I’m talking about and I can’t find it anywhere. I have everything else besides that piece.

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  2 месяца назад

      All of the straps came in a little bag with the pads. Could call the store you got them from and see if they have extras since they should've included it.

      @@HockeyReviews oop sorry I didn’t think of that lol I just got off the ice with them, I poked a hole through it with a knife right where the one in your video was and it worked perfectly! Must’ve just been a factory defect because nothing else was different. Thanks anyway though!

    Does the shorter boot strap fit pretty snug? I play inline and the long strap always seems to get caught in my wheels

      I never used the short so can't say sorry.

    • @fabianm2819
      @fabianm2819 8 месяцев назад

      pro tip: replace it with skate lace covered shock cord, you can pull it so theres no slack left and when you drop it'll stretch the 3" or so you want form a boot strap but keep itself out the way

  • @MikeVernonProd
    @MikeVernonProd 3 года назад

    The bootstrap seems way too short. Is there an option to use a longer one so the fit is not as tight?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 года назад

      All of the bootstraps I have are short like this including the straps that came with the XX-Long straps I ordered with the 2X Pro pads. But, the bootstrap is elastic, so it will stretch and shouldn't be very restrictive.

  • @winnrscircle
    @winnrscircle Год назад

    Does boot strap come with new pads

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Год назад

      I think the off the shelf options should have it. But I know it's still a custom option to put it on. But knowing how retail places work, I'd ask them to make sure the pads have the bootstrap with them before ordering.
