I played the Caro Kann for the first time the other day and can confirm it added a couple of inches. My girlfriend of four years is so happy. Thanks Alex, we owe it all to you.
Thanks Alex! I moved from losing most of my games with the French to winning most of my games with the Caro Kann. Currently at 1500 so people don't blunder as much and your videos about weaknesses and positional play are extremely useful to me. Also the constant hints about my low intellect and inability to have romantic encounters adds a lot
My experience with the caro is it took a while to get the hang of it. Now its a pretty good chance of winning for me since I have a good grasp on the different variations.
Not only do you present knowledge and understanding combined with humor in your content - games like the last one in this video - you showcase the beauty of chess in such a simple but wonderful way. Seriously, we need to protect @AlexBanzea at all cost! You get a lot of well deserved credit for all the things you teach us here, but i rarely (if ever) have seen someone discussing how elegantly you show us how beautiful a game of chess can be!
You bro are the king of analogies. 'It's like when you have to sleep when the door to your apartment is open. Especially if you have weird neighbours' - priceless. Only you and GingerGM in the chess community can be this funny.
something I'd like to see on this channel - in my otb games I currently play against a lot of 1900-2200 players and they love to go for 1.Nf3 variations, playing either KI setups, or Reti gambit or Catalan stuff - now Id find it interesting to see more positional play tutorials on here and maybe also 'instructions' to still play the structures you're used to against those adaptive openings from white.
My life has truly changed after this lesson. I'm now a monk in the mountains and never feel cramped by the house walls as I learned to sleep on the grass
Thank you Alex. I started watching your channel to learn the Caro kann a month ago and since then I’ve played hundreds of games using the opening. You’re a great teacher thank you for dedicating your time to helping players around the world improve. I seriously wouldn’t be able to climb at the rate that I am without people like you and for that you have my deep respect ❤️
I am a 400 rated brand new player and I have been learning a lot from your videos and humour. I appreciate you making such down to earth content. I seem to keep getting into decent positions early but then blunder something critical mid game and undo all of my hard work. I am going to keep binging your content to train my brain haha.
So I'm around 1500 and have been playing the caro kann for over 3 months now, but just now starting to plateau a little. Your videos have helped me improve exponentially and, to be honest, if you made an in depth course, I would buy that in a minute. Thanks for all your effort 😊😊
I really love how you're outlining the key concepts happening in each game beforehand, it really helps terrible players like me to understand what to look for while watching the live games
Absolutely. Golden material. No doubt in my mind his channel will continuously grow. One of my favorites for sure. I also really like Geetendra and Gunjen. And of course Eric Rosen. Boys are good
Thank you so much bro, I was improving my position with also exploiting my opponent weakness and their pressure rose to a level that they are just resigning.
By following your Caro-Kann series I really improved with this opening. And it so true that you don‘t need to play anything fancy because your opponent will blunder sooner or later. At least one hanging pawn is always available. Thank you for these instructive videos. I would appreciate more videos like this one on the Vienna. 😊🎉
Another great video, thank you Alex :), your videos are still helping me climb the rating ladder, I have gained 168 rating points in last 7 days (315 - 483) with 63 games played, so thank you :), still lost more black games then won right now though, but slowly getting the concepts :) lol. I'm playing -25 to any
What i hate about your videos sometimes is that your videos are like ASMR sometimes very relaxing but then out of nowhere you drop the funniest joke of the century and all the peace is gone😂❤
May I suggest that when facing the Panov one consider fianchettoing the kingside Bishop. That may or may not be the best idea for Master level, but it definitely works best for club players.
When I prematurely attackulate...and make a huge mess...is it ever okay to blow off investing time to clean things up...and instead just bounce? Cuz out of sight, out of mind absolutely does the trick of making me golden again. And my time and mental health are really important to me. So yeah...I guess it's actually pretty straight forward. Thank you so much for your help in this matter. Much appreciated.
It will surely take a while until I do less blunder, mistake, and inaccuracy in mid-late game. Especially in these tight space game with black. Does that good position sense of yours resulted from you drill a lot or just logical thinking of yours in each game? (Is that bcoz you remember some lines along the way or it's just you thinking ahead several steps?)
I am really looking forward to your Caro-Kann course on chessable! But could say something about the difference between your course and the "Keep It Simple For Black" Caro Kann course by Christof Sielecki? It seems like you are covering much of the same grounds (especially in the advanced variation).
Thank you Alex for your videos! On game 2, how do you find the plan of going queen side and coming up with c4 and e5? and secondly, how do you come up with plans in the middlegame when you have a closed possition even with less space? how do you know when you have consolidated enough and what are your pieces best sqares before finding the best pawn brake? Thank you very much again! Keep it up!
Ive been playing as best as i can Caro Kann and almost every player id say 90% always go advanced variation and i Need this video to solve the space and develop issue
I’m about 1600 FIDE and have played the Bf5 advance variation for some time, but there’s so much theory to remember… would you suggest switching to 3 …c5?
hey Alex thank you so much your videos enabled me to switch to caro and i’ve been doing well but i’m struggling with Nelson the Bot! is there an incident where caro doesn’t work after e4 due to opponent weird play (by the way i’m very low rated 😅)
Did my comment the other day remind you of the "premature attack-ulation" saying from GingerGM? It's an amazing line. I'm glad you give him his due credit. Even more respect for you after that!
@IM Alex Banzea I was surprised to see you don't have a Caro-Kann chessable course despite the awesome youtube content on the opening. Is it in the works?
I'm in the 600 elo range and a lot of my opponents are playing Qf3 on turn 3 targetting the weak f7 pawn and going super aggressive afterwards. How do you play against that?
My dude, you've got to speed things up a bit in the opening and middle game! You're always getting into time trouble at the end of games which leads to less valuable instruction because you have to play so fast.
You can now...check out my Caro course! www.chessable.com/the-caro-kann-simplified/course/171080/

She is four?👀
Wait a min...
Aaah are you by any chance a muslim?
I bet it's 4 yr relationship gf
@@shbmd451what? That's not even funny.

I played Caro-Kann for a long time now, changed to french and I win a lot more games now tbh
My experience with the caro is it took a while to get the hang of it. Now its a pretty good chance of winning for me since I have a good grasp on the different variations.
Crack me up!
Hi, what is your preferred opening as white?
Yessssss another one! This guy, Alex, what a machine! Constantly puttning out new strong content!!! Thanks!
Bro your humor is top tier 🤣🤣
This is so true!

Sorry, I didn't post the channels correctly. They are of course GJ_Chess and Chess Talk.

Yes Alex, so pleased to hear you’re releasing a Caro Kann course. Consider me sold!
Another banger dude. I gotta get that chessable course soon.
Botvinnik-Carls is a fantastic opening for both sides! More people should play it.
Hey Alex just wanted to say I really love your videos. Keep it up and I look forward to buying your Karo course.
The maneuver Ce2-Cc1-Cb3 it´s really interesting. And something that would not go through my mind in a million years
53:29 I was totally staring at the board, lost in the position..... "wait, what?" 🤣
Can’t wait for the caro kann course on chessable :)
I love your content man. Learning a ton, very funny when you bring up some weird connections between real life and the game
Hey man, I've been watching this channel for a while and I have to say that as a Caro Kann user you really saved me! Thanks a lot, subscribed now
Hi Alex. I can confirm that Gazillion is a number.

Good stuff, I like to see that you are following the -25 rule!
Thank you for the vote of confidence and the reply@@AlexBanzea
Thank you, Alex, for the great course and also for answering my question about dxc5! 2100 rating and learning from you. ❤

Just got a nice book on the caro kann from amazon this morning, looks great so far.
The "educational" content from Alex is so consistently high.
Fantastic video
I was watching one of his videos right now and I received the new notification. Jumped right into it. Like and subscribe.❤ let’s make him famous
Omg this is amazing!
I love you, with your Caro Kann and Vienna opening I win most of my games.
Love your metaphors keep them coming

You know your day is gonna be good when it starts with Alex and caro kann ❤
Thanks Alex!
Great video as always! When can I purchase the Caro Kann Chessable course?
Hey can you give us some gameplays with the colle zukertort system?😍
Dude, this lesson is 🔥🔥🔥.

It's a 'common' theoretical idea simply.
Great video Alex. Keep it going 😊
Another lunchtime video? As a new addition to the Absolute Clown Fiesta Club, I'm all for it!
mereu fac greseala sa încerc sa duc nebunul afara și nu mai am unde sa duc calul dupa(pe partea regelui),chiar ajuta clipul asta, mulțumesc.
When will your Caro-Kann course be released?
First class. Thank you.
Done thank you ❤❤❤👍

Day 30 of watching Banzea's videos, I'm so close to getting a girlfriend I can feel it

Great vid as always. Please play more high elo and your normal thought process to know what can we become. More!!!
Beating on 800s, wow. Oh my.
Ive been playing as best as i can Caro Kann and almost every player id say 90% always go advanced variation and i Need this video to solve the space and develop issue
Mersi Alex,am reușit sa ajung la 1400 azi,nu a fost foarte greu cred ca o sa ajung pana în vara la 1600(cel puțin asa sper).
I’m about 1600 FIDE and have played the Bf5 advance variation for some time, but there’s so much theory to remember… would you suggest switching to 3 …c5?

Would you be willing to do a 960 random speed run?
"Proved by science that if you subscribe you'll improve by 69 points overnight." Oh... Alex... thanks. I needed THAT laugh.
"not active bishop of all time" 😂

I subscribed and I have not progressed 69elo points, can I get a discount on one of your courses?
alex, you missed a fork on 13:38 on e3, that must be due to the time scramble right
What if he takes it?
The queen can take the knight, that s just a blunder if you go there I think
@@AlexBanzea HAHAHA, damn im so bad
gg
Unfortunately I have only one vote
You are an IM and you content is good. Why do you always play 1000 rated players and below when you make any video?
1:14 LMAO
8 mins 30 secs in he could've trapped the queen no?
❤❤
Premature attackulation? rofl !!!
My dude, you've got to speed things up a bit in the opening and middle game! You're always getting into time trouble at the end of games which leads to less valuable instruction because you have to play so fast.
is no one gonna mention how the thumbnail looks like a bukake?
