@@JustbeingHayden if you do decide too take it on track you can push the car further than on a road. That way you can see the weaknesses more and see what you want too improve. Thats what I did with my 140. Another option is buy an old mx5 and go drifting. Sideways is always a winner
Can see that Map has made you love the car some more mate, every time I do something to mine makes me love driving it the 1 bit more.. I've got a bIg ass cone fitted & blanking plate and recently back box chop, I'm happy with it at the moment, burbles on the down revs.. but give it the beans and get a nice few pops.
Wanna be careful with a blanking plate . Turbo flutter sounds great but compressor surge on a high boost car ruins the bearings so much quicker . Turbosmart do a good range of recirc valves that give a small flutter on medium boost that’s healthy sounds great and takes more boost without leaking .
Paul loaded a mapped 275 map onto your car . So when you pulled 281bhp that was on his 275 map made for your mods that should see around 310-320 bhp . Hence why you pulled 281bhp because of the boost leak . When you go back up you will have a tweak but there won't be anymore mapping other tweaks as you already have the map on your car 😉 I spoke to him when I was up there because I had the same . 275 map made for the mods on my car which made 310.7bhp 352 ftlb but had to be dyno'd in 5th gear as it was spinning up in 4th coming on boost
Beautiful. I’ve had an I30N for a couple of years now and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s all about the handling and the LSD just helps propel the car round bends. The stock exhaust is outrageous and as you were doing there, you find yourself lifting off the throttle just to hear the bangs! Nice sweet spot after remap of 310bhp and 350ft lbs for front wheel drive. Don’t ever go DSG gearbox mate for a car as you clearly live the involvement of driving a manual car.👍
Your my kinda guy. Manual all the time. I nearly bought the i30n. The remap I saw gave mad torque increase. But I went with the 308 gti. I just wanted a airy cabin with a sunroof albeit fixed
Yeah tbh stages confuse the life out of me just thaught you might class them like that, so if I changed intercooler intake and get an exhaust system from turbo back, can push around 300-320 ish?
I can't wait to join the rs Meg club. It's comments about the handling of this car which really gets me enthusiastic about owning one. Just waiting for a decent white one to come up on auto trader with cup pack and lsd. Rs monitor... What's the crack? Is it needed?

Just being Hayden I get ya and I don’t think it sounds that bad, even in the video! I just associate the sound with cretins with financed BMWs and Fiestas revving their cars ASDA car park 😂
My car only does a loud “pop/bang” at the top of the Rev rang. I like it because it’s enough to turn heads within proximity. Other quiet all the time. But I’m in my late 30s so I wouldn’t want so many especially as I like not to draw too much attention.
Had a similar grin on my face, when i had my Leon fr re-mapped.

Had my RS almost 2 years now with no mods at all. Definitely gonna make some changes after seeing this

Are the pops part of the map or from the exhaust mods? Ie have you had the ‘crackle map’? And if so is it only mapped to do it when in sport mode?

Mine is a 275 Cup-S and feels stronger than 275 as claimed. Would be interested to find out! 🤔
I have very similar mods to this car on my 250 and it pulled 338 at efi in runcorn, so at 283 it must have basically no boost at all lol
