In fact, they have been in my aquarium since almost the beginning but I just never really mention it since I was able to control them in the past but the aquarium is changing and it hasn't reached its final form, so more balance control has to be done.

I have a Tridacna Maxima too and love her. I do care the most about the light acclimation. We have a nice book about giant clams here in Germany, which spend me the most knowledge about those clams.

Great video my friend! Can I use a 1:3 hydrogen peroxide mixture to kill off a bacterial infection on my trumpet coral and acans? I know some corals can be sensitive to HP, but I’ve noticed that in your past videos, you have used it for killing algae.
If you open the clam and take the shells and you cover it around your hears like headphone, they would recover your hears, that pretty much the size (I haven't measure it honestly)
I don't know if your voice is like Mickey Mouse or Lurch from the Addams family, but I do know, and see, fine examples of Reef keeping. It's always excellent to see your videos.

Most expert clam keepers I’ve come across (including the aqua culture centers), rely on photo over phyto 💡. I keep crocea, maxima, and squamosa for over 30 years now fwiw. I worked at LFS when the first batch of cultured clams arrived in the industry. Used to be so hard to get good maximas until then. Funny how the prices haven’t changed at all since then.
Man dude are you going to restart the tank? I’m dealing with Dinos too. Just finished a 3 day blackout while dosing dinox and having a UV light. If that doesn’t work I’m thinking a 5-6 day blackout will work. Is just move my corals somewhere meanwhile.
Why would I restart? I've managed them for a year so far ;) Watch out for long black out, it can hurt corals, you probably have a type of dino that black out doesn't work well, it depends on the species. If you have move coral somewhere else (another tank I assume?) careful because you bring dinos with them, but perhaps the other tanks can manage it.

I can’t just enjoy my aquarium and they’ve already killed my urchin some crabs and some corals. Today my black out ends. Im going to clean the tank and do a water change. Hopefully it worked. Oh I picked up some live phytoplankton and pods too. I’ll be dumping them in today.
@@Goose619 If you can find stuff that eat them that would be the best! Make sure you have a stable parameter in the tank, swing have tendancy to create prolification of dinos. I'm a bit lucky in my case, the black out is feasable and higher temperature is tolerated by my corals.

Corals are also invertebrates. LOL. But yes, a clam is a bivalve, which is a type of mollusk. Mollusks are invertebrates just like corals (cnidaria). Octopus are mollusks, strangely enough.
(Yes) but nan, I'm heavily feeding atm, if you implying low nutriment near zero, it's not the case. I have to because my water get dirty really fast at the moment (intentional). I have not much that reduce nutriment either except water change. It's the only thing that prevent the tank crashing. (At the moment...)
