- Hi y'all Blenderati... someone asked how to and here's my how I'd do, a tutorial about particles, golden and paper confetti, coriandoli, real Italian confetti, rice for weddings, EEVEE render engine and fun with Blender 2.8!
If you like it give me a shout - if you don't like it give me a shout... what I am saying is that I'd love to know who are my viewers, my subs have increased so much recently and I like to get to know you guys!!
Are you on Reddit? Reach out!
Ah yes, these tutorials are the reason I learn Blender
What a great compliment! Thank you
Still not completely realistic as confetti would turn and tumble as it falls through the air. Is there a way to add rotation to each particle so that it tumbles as it falls?
Hi, thanks for the tip! If you want to enable some animated spinning for every single particle, go to the emitter settings, and inside rotation, there's a submenu called angular velocity, change the axis from 'none' to 'random' or 'velocity' for example, and crank the setting up to something like 10-20...
Having said that, in our animation, there's no force field, and in theory in a vacuum, particles wouldn't spin but only follow the vector of gravity... imagine a falling feather!
Also, you are completely right, the "animation" would certainly look more "realistic" with spinning as in confetti popping or moving in different directions, but if you take a single frame you couldn't really tell if they were spinning or not, or in which direction! So in my defence, I can say that I was trying to create a still image, where is good enough having the particles facing different directions, which is enabled in the tutorial, but I agree, it's very basic!
Thanks for watching!
SUBCRIBED! F* this is awesome, I love it, the pacing is perfect, thanks for introducing me to Particles in Blender Daniel! now get back to making more videos lol!
Thanks so much for your comment :) I will be back as soon!
Would love to see you do a glitter tutorial. I've never seen realistic glitter in Blender - like glitter on top of a piece of paper, and responding to light reflections as the camera moves across it, as if you had a piece of glittery paper in your hand and it "shines" as you move it.
Terrific idea, I’ll put it in my to do list, not sure I’d use particle as you can get the effects with micro displacement or bump. I check what I can do :)
And here it is!! ruclips.net/video/OGfL4VQY8qk/видео.html

Hi! I love this video! Sorry, I am making a video and I'm really low on time, is there any chance you could share this file with me? Sorry to be a pain! Thanks!
Hi, did you manage? I wasn't around for a while.
@@DanielOakfield Hi sorry, I haven't yet sorry. I've been working on my project and unfortunatley I dont have much time yet. If you don't mind, please could you send me a drive link so I can download it. Thank you very much! I appreciate it a lot!
I agree with @Johnny Chen. Awesome tutorial. Thank you. Subscribed now.
Thanks Iain, much appreciated really, will have to do some more tutorial soon!
love your tutorial, easy to understand, very clear, and great solution for what i looking for, great job man 😍❤
Very kind of you! Glad it helped
Thanks for the tutorial! The music is a bit loud and distracting though.
I have removed music from my newest tutorials :) thanks for watching!
Grande, la spiegazione di cosa sono i confetti mi ha fatto morire!!
😬
thank you sooooooooooooooooooooo much... is it possible to export in .fbx format?
You are welcome! FBX export is possible but you need to bake the animation to keyframes first.
How can I make the confetti go at a slower speed?
You can change: the speed of the particles, changing their mass, or how much gravity affects them.
Is there anyway to get less confetti? I only need a few bits for a scene-
Of course, select the emitter, and in the "emission" the first setting is "number" which is the total number of particle that will be emitted, change it to whatever you need :)
@@DanielOakfield Thanks! :]
Good!
Man thank you so much for commenting on my videos! Still struggling with those shaders, my computer really can only do that much, if I use Blender especially on same complex shader, I cannot record at the same time... even my tutorials some time took 3-4 takes because the screengrab stops to be recorded, so I am thinking of using some other computer to do a video and then maybe a voice over... thanks for your patience :))
Oh no problem! If you can't do the video that's fine too.
Great videos Daniel
Thank you for watching!!
Please also mention the music you are using
Hello Ganapathy are you Tamil?
The song I used is a personal edit of Mozart's 'Divertimento in D Major, Allegro (K.334)'
I licensed the original file via download.audiohero.com/link.php?page=track&trackId=13442452
You can access Audio Hero library subscribing to www.TubeBuddy.com/vegan also it's a great way to get access to lots more perks to help your channel grow!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
Can you do a nebula ?
I can try :D Plus always wanted to do it!
Hey so what about the baking you would still have to do that rught? because its not showing up in my Rendered Animation
If it shows in the viewport you may have a different issue, not baking. In fact I didn't bake the particles sim.
Please share more details!
Just what I was looking for, great tut!
Glad it helped!
