The lyrics are easy enough to find. It’s an old song called walking cane. Some people change the lyrics slightly and add their own phrases in sometimes
Hand me down my walking cane I'm gonna leave it on the midnight train.( I'm gonna wave that ball and chain) (All my sins get taken away, take 'em away) I got drunk and I got in jail. Run here (have no) woman to go my bail. Beans was tough and the meat was fat. Good lord boys I couldn't stand that. Hand me down my quart of corn I'll get drunk as sure as you're born. If I die in Arkansas send my remains to my mother in law. Ma she wept and Susie mourned. Sister got choked on a chicken bone. Give my dog that porkchop bone she gonna chew it up til it's gone. Hand me down my 22 I'll show you a big fat coon. * I'm the banjo player and I want future generations to have easier access to lyrics for these type of songs. It was hard to learn a lot of the correct lyrics for these songs. Most of them are lost forever and are based on pure speculation.
sorry to hear that, I imagine she kept him on a certain level, though what do I know and as your comment is a year old, I may be completely wrong, but both have talent, so godspeed to all. peace x all this lot have talent, n style x
He didn’t drown, he had been taking medication for seizures and had mentioned to a few people he didn’t want to take it anymore. He went to the Saco River with a group of friends and around 7 am someone heard him puking crawled out of their tent and he was seizing and had aspirated, cpr was performed, but he passed away. The group called river patrol who came and took him while two members of the group had to pack up his camp and spend another 12 hours paddling with all his belongings in order to get to a portage and be done with that trip. We returned a year later to spread his Ashes(allegedly) haven’t been back since. RIP
