Great review Matthew. Thanks a lot. Just bought the Torchy 2K. Shines like a car headlight, it’s pretty incredible and so powerful! It would blind someone no problem. No more batteries, no more battery recycling. One thing, there is a removable sticky label inside the torch where you would remove it to take out the battery. If you don’t remove this, the battery won’t charge. I found this out by default. So if you start to charge the torch and it’s showing blue, but the torch isn’t working, it’s probably because this label is still inside the torch. Just remove the end cap and it should come out. Guess it’s there to protect the battery. Just bought mine from Amazon here in the UK for about £27. That’s with 25% knocked off. That’s an amazing deal. Well worth it. Sometimes you come across things in life that are just too good to miss out on. This is one of them. This torch could last you years if you care for it. The only thing I would say is that Matthews description of the lumens and the time you get with each mode is different from what the instructions state. Have to find out for myself.
Hahahahaha yes sir they are great lights I own probably 25 or 30 and I've never had a problem with them. Thanks for watching, please like and SUBSCRIBE. ;)

Nice to see a decent review on this little monster. I think it looks great, nice clip, and the rechargeable part of the torch is a great feature. The review did not drag on like some others on RUclips. The outside test was great, as most torches show the same generic pictures to show how great the torch is. You defiantly one step better in a real world test. Showing the light on the equipment is something that you would use it for in a real world example, and the magnetic bottom is a nice touch for working on a vehicle’s engine or if broken down you could possibly place on the rear of the vehicle and put on strobe mode and that would defiantly make sure that other drivers could see the strobe before they would see your hazard warning lights. You would feel a bit safer at the side of the road at nighttime. Near the end when you pointed the torch to the treetop it was a nice clear image, then you turned it on to beast mode, and i was blown away by such a small torch. Keep well and thank you.
Hey man, I appreciate all the kind words! Thanks for watching my video. I reviewed a lot of the NEBO lights just because they are cheap and haven't given me any problems and I use them daily. @@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHINGVery helpful video.. I was very inclined to buy this flashlight but after learning that it requires magnetic charger, I changed my mind. I am looking for a type-C rechargeable pocket sized flashlight having long throw, magnetic tailcap Please guide.
I have this torch, if you long press the button it automatically comes on in low mode so you don't have to keep pressing the button to get to it. I also find that the charge terminal on the torch tends to oxidize then it wont charge, I have to scratch it with a acrewdriver to make it shiny again then it charges.
I hate when companies advertise a light like this as a 2,000 lumen when it’s really not. Yeah it does for a brief 30 seconds but in reality it’s a 500 lumen light which is what the high mode setting can actually run in. I feel it’s deceptive marketing.
I totally agree, but it's the same as going to a fast food restaurant and the food in the picture looks nice and huge and then it comes out looking like a flattened mini sandwich. This word is gone crazy my friend!
Ive owned the original 1k torchy for past 4 or 5 years. I use it for tons of home improvement jobs and random jobs in darks spaces. it clips on to the brim of my hat perfectly so I performing jobs better and safer in dark spaces. You can use a normal 18650 battery with the nipple but you can't charge that battery from the nebo charger. You have to use an external battery charger.
They're standard *protected* 18650s I believe. Which is an 18650 with an extra 5mm protection circuit and button top cap. For example "Epoch 18650 3500mAh 10A - Protected Button Top Battery" for $7. And using that would increase your battery life by 60% (3500mAh vs 2200).
Yes you can but can't charge any 18650 battery in it. You have to charge it via a normal battery charger. I have this as my EDC and carry 3 ordinary 18650 batteries for it
