I have one of the older nebos and ithas been super reliable

It dont turn off turbo to save battery, it does it to keep from overheat damage to the emitter.

Does the older one get hot like the new one? In my opinion, for an EDC I like the original like you mentioned but the newer one would make a great tracking light.
🤣 yeah man I’m quick and yeah they both get hot like that unfortunately. Man I really like the magnetic charger base to definitely makes it easy. I like the NEBO Torchy for my EDC but they both are great lights for sure.

I got the mossy oke torchy 2k it looks cool guess it comes in a different packaging also anyone wondering the torchy 2k uses the same battery as the slide king 2k

@swampstalkeroutdoors Hey brother sorry for replying back late but I was sick over the weekend & it suck too because it was very warm 83 / 85 degrees outside. I could have been kayaking or kayak fishing. But I was thinking about all the fun I was missing. I believe it you ate too much man. I have a Cabela's not to far from me like a 30 min drive from me. I need to go Check out & see of they have some there. Okay you don't sell them. Oh that's right you did ask me for that & I was having a lot of problems with that. I will email you soon with that. I will be safe out there on the road brother. Thanks you so much for that cuz it means a lot to me.

Would you recommend the Torchy or 2k for edc/ mechanic type work
Hey thanks for watching and for the comment I really appreciate it! My honest opinion on your question would be it depends on if you like to carry a light in your pocket or in some kind of holster or carrier. I really like the 2k and it’s a little bigger than the Smaller Nebo Torchy, so I carry the smaller one for my edc because of the size difference only because I carry mine in my pocket. The 2k in my opinion would be a great light for both if you don’t mind the size difference and for mechanic type work either would be great. One thing I failed to show in my reviews is they are magnetic on the back of each light so you can stick the lights on anything metal like car parts or frames. I’ve used mine several times when I didn’t have anyone around to hold a light while I was working on my vehicles. Hope I was able to answer your question and have a great weekend!
It get hot enoungh to be a hand warmer.

It melted a whole in my pocket. Not a good idea to keep it inside anything that will melt.
Dang man that’s crazy, haven’t had that happen but I have had it come on and get warm from being on. I noticed it pretty quickly though 🤣
@@swampstalkeroutdoors I love these flashlights design and look. I have bought various model. But this is a unseen hazard to be avoided. It may torch someone.
