I, with no reservation, will tell everyone I know that todo is the best character in the series. Gojo is fucking great. Yuuji is a great protag imo, megumi is fucking lit. But Todo is pure BLISS. Such a great addition to the series. Elevating it in each scene he's in
I love his ability. It's simple, easy to understand, unique enough, actually has restrictions to prevent it to becoming too op, and it allows creativity in it's approach. And finally, a perfect match for Yuji as well, considering Yuji is a close range combatant as well
also watching episode 20 animate boogie woogie made me realize it is essentially a battle dance where todo is applauding and clapping for his friends performance in battle. this also lines up with his last quote about “applause coming from the heart” because even though he lost his technique his final applause for his friend helped him win the battle.
Todo is definitely the type to jump you while giving a Standing ovation to his homies. Y’all remember the expression he made as Yuji demonstrated his mastery of jump jutsu and the ancient, time honored “left hook, right jab, roundhouse kick, right hook” combo while breaking the BF record? A fun detail we see in his fight against Hanami is that he uses Boogie Woogie a few times on Yuji as they charge Hanami after he first reveals the technique. He does this so that Yuji will acclimatise to it prior to being in direct combat. Just another showcase of his wits and supportive nature. I love Todo and I'm quite sad we've not seen him reappear at all. It seems to me that Gege simply retired him after his role in the story was complete. Unlike Nanami, I think he's been left in limbo in case Gege decides to do something with him. Where as Nanami had already hit a wall both narrative wise and as a sorcerer, Todo has the potential to grow... or just get forgotten about 😔
Todo is something special. He's intelligent, likable, terrifying, jacked as hell, and above all, he does all that while leveraging his abilities to the fullest as a SUPPORT. He can hit, sure. Tank, sure. But his real passion is taking someone ELSE and making them feel unstoppable through his techniques and coaching. A true Chad to the end.
One of the main reasons he is so strong without being from one of the main families has to do with the fact he was trained by one of the 4 special grade sorcerers in yuki tsukumo so it's not crazy to think he got that strong.

He should be able to get his hand back with reverse curse energy healing. In the prequel Mika gets her leg severed and destroyed and she gets it back with that.

Conveniently, Nobara, a beloved character among the fandom, who wields a CT that seems to attack the soul itself via the link between her effigy and the target, is ambiguously between life-and-death. The only way for her to get back up without a skilled healer's help is to piece together a reversed technique in her comatose state that can restore the soul. My theory is that when/if Nobara gets up, she'll have the ability to heal Todo.
Literally everyone else in the series: *complex culture and mythology-inspired unique and special abilities with deeper meanings and tie-ins to their character* Toudou: *I -👏🏻* *CAST -👏🏻* *FIST!* ✊🏻👊🏻🤛🏻🤜🏻
What I like about his character is that it also break a stereotype that exist not just in Manga/Anime but most media. Big, strong man are not portrayed as intelligent in story due to most of the time they're there to satisfy author's insecurity. "that man is physically strong, surely he must be stupid and I must be smarter than he is." His character feel real. Cuz in reality you don't have limited attribute points and must only choose one or another. It's very realistic to encounter someone who is both stronger and smarter than you. Good physical and intelligence are not opposing factors for real human. In fact they often go hand in hand. If you don't take care of your body, then you're not as smart as you think you are.
Choso would probably get HEATED when he hears todo call Yuji his brother but once he finds out the sheer level of W mans energy he has for him especially when they jumped Mahito he’d immediately like him. Todo would definitely ask his type and be absolutely elated when he finds out Choso got passive rizz so potent he would have bagged Yuki, the archetype of him and Yujis cultured taste and simply adopt himself as their 3rd brother then and there. Might get a little awkward if Choso calls todo his brother while hitting Yuji from the back with flowing red scale stack. Idk if she raised todo after she found him folding fodder as a youngin but she’s like an older sister at LEAST if not a fun wine aunt or something. Honestly todos hypothetical domain expansion would be incredible. My reasoning is that, todo can teleport anywhere within range of his domain(since itd be filled with his curse energy), allowing him to move to the edge, have the domain center on him again, move to the edge again, for as long as he can power it. Meaning he could achieve a pseudo flight and super speed. Thats my take on it anyway.
