Yeah he is, even when was a kid, tom was my favourite character in tom & jerry and always hated how the show depicted him as a villain, when he was the person getting abused and harmed over and over again.

But later, the show slowly turns into Tom and Jerry wanting to live their peaceful life, but somehow always clash into one and another. But even then, the show always favored Jerry cause he's smaller.
