@@carsandsteak8961 I've heard it flows better until you hit the high rpms. The tsx head better for low/mid-range acceleration, then the prb head outflows later. The tsx probably better for a basic street build, but if you're building your k24 and spinning it to 8500+ to then look to the rsx SI heads. The k20 heads are a ported version of the tsx head. I'm running a Kfrank basic street build no cat Dyno tuned and I may not be gaining anything over a straight long block 24. I've heard I am, but like you heard otherwise too. Stock fully with my k20z1 i made 171whp on the same Dyno. I'm at 224whp now. Cold air intake, rbc, plm 4-2-1 header motor mount inserts, stock Z1 cams and tuned. My torque is 182. I'm happy with it. I think frank and straight k24 is splitting hairs on a build like mine. Though my tuner did say I was making power passed 8000rpm,but he capped it at 8G for safety. I'm not sure a k24a2 would produce passed that, but I dunno. The biggest difference is that the rsx SI head comes stock with 50 degree vtc. That more than the head prolly makes the greatest diff, also you gain compression mating a k20 head to a jdm k24 or k24a2, that adds power www.k20a.org/threads/tsx-head-vs-type-s-head.34217/
@@lindaover9764 honestly it really probably comes down to the driver mod. One application may be better for auto cross and the other for straight line. But unless we’re really banging gears then the difference is probably minimal/single car length with same bolt ons. I plan on going with a simple 62/66 turbo build, and not opening up the motor is an appealing aspect to the build for me. @@carsandsteak8961 what chassis r u running. Honda makes awesome stuff. I'm never going boosted, but damn looks like the higher end k24s with the better rods can hang. I'm curious what the guy revs to
Love the videos 🔥the car made great numbers on 91👌🏾 the graphs looks similar with the k24/k20 and the k20z3 just more power everythere from the 24frank . I would like to see a full k24 with the same Bolt ons and compared the graphs between them 👍
I love this I have a fully built 20/24 with ported head ferrea valves, supertech 92lbs springs, skunk 2 ultra stage 2 cams. Skunk 2 rods and super tech pistons 12:3:1. Possibly going on boost. Ethanol kit with Deutschwerks fuel pump asembly
Don’t know yet haven’t put it together. It’s going down this week though l. I’ll be running 93 and flex fuel. So if you made that on 91 I’m having high hopes.
you'd be lucky to get 250+ on oem cams and stock 10.5:1 compression with a 91/93 pump tune, most of the time when motors make that they have either higher compression or bigger cams or both lol
I have a 07 5speed accord and a 09 auto but also have a 6speed from a txs that im goinv to put in my 07.. so whats a good idea seeing that i have the eco version of the engines
They're quite good unrelatable options. You saw the vid, I'd say go Frank. That's what I did. The torque makes your car feel lighter and more aggressive
Great info, I just made 221/160 on my z1. Can't wait till I go 24 one day
Your channel is so UNDERRATED!!! Canada, roll call! 🇨🇦💯🤛🏾
Damn, I should’ve used my k20z3 head lol. K24a full longblock, fg2 here. Mods are 3” cai, Header, 3” exhaust, 45 vtc, etune making 224hp 188tq.
The prb heads flows better than the TSX head higher up. Anyway, I bet your car screams as is
@@lindaover9764 I’ve been told that the full k24 is better than hybrid

I really like this channel , cheer !
High key missing my fa5 watching your videos 😭
Amazing tuning. Especially the root beer metallic k20a2 dc4 you just did -227whp
All your videos have very helpful information I know the B series is a little outdated but I would love to see more be serious content
B Series will never really be outdated. The B-16C is one of my all time favorite DOHC VTEC's. Especially swapped in a 2000 EM1 Si Civic! 😎💙
new sub, just started playing with hondata, coming from crome on obd1. keep up the vids, keeping motors from exploding. the lords work

Almost the same setup as you. Pushing 297 and 210 torque on 91 pump. What you making with that?

@@braunstrollmen314 Yesir I’ll be pushing just 300whp with 91 pump so should be looking solid for 93 and flex
Great video thanks for sharing! My 8th gen will be getting the same K24A2 bottom with Z3 head soon 👍
Great video!
Super close numbers to my K24a2 CSX! Nice video my man.
very nice results
Be cool to see what the tb upgrade would do on this car.
It'd be nice to see what this set up will do on e85
Close to 250.
Excellent stuff
Very nice compression. .
2:18 when VTEC kicks it that sounds like a angry demon ...
Don't forget you mentioned it has some cams, thats a huge jump alone for the power difference compared to the fbo k20z3
They are OEM cams. The owner wasn’t sure if they are the K20 or K24 is the problem.
this # sounds like an reliable tune.
most setup like these be pushing 240-260
That depends a lot on the cams used

@@harrystew07 yup
Should change the title to K20/K24 Fa5, will definitely get you more views
Finally lol how’s the AWD rsx coming along ?!? So excited
Love the channel. Anyway you can show a comparison of this combo vs e85? Curious to see what the difference might be
I also would like to see this comparison
no e85 in canada
10/10 🇭🇳
Did you ever find out what kind of cams were inside of it.
Can you do a test on the difference throttle body spacers make in power output?
Do you do etunes nick
Bump

I would of use the 08 tsx cams and e85
What throttle body?
This is awesome content Nick! Probably off the topic lol but do hondata traction control works with AEM v2?
What would be more beneficial a head package on a z3 or going 24/20

So, any update on the 997?
Have you done any e tunes for Vancouver cars? I know he have crappy gas but I was wondering if you can get similar results on our gas.
Where the exhaust clip?
I don't understand this. I just had my k20a2 dyno. It made 245hp/161trq.
Just have 3 inch exhaust straight pipe rbc and rdx injectors. I'm in Cali.
Climate, altitude, dyno machines and tuners make comparing your car to this video kind of irrelevant
I have a question is automatic starter different to a manual transmission starter in k20 k24
No. They both work.
@@michaelgranville1733 thank you
I plan on getting the tsx k24a2 block for my 09 si as well! Does anyone know if the z3 head fits directly on?
is this with the tsx cam?
What about k20a2 head to k20z4? Both are from EUDM Type R’s.
Where you from bro
Im in Toronto
I was thinking 260 wheel but maybe that’s flywheel
The results in the video are wheel HP. Technically this would be about 260+ crank HP.
My mustang made more than that
Your Mustang makes more than 1.66hp/cube at the wheels N/A on pump fuel? Damn, I need to see this!
