Projectors always have a auto off timer on by default. If the one at work is on for days; Someone turned that off. I used a Epson 20 years ago that had it. An I'm using a cheapie $59 one right now that has that.
One thing I never hear anyone mention is some Projectors (many electronics) have audio latency on the line out. An that will ruin everything cept presentations with no audio.
    Thanks for the video!

What about for golf simulator? In a garage no outside light but a light oflver hitting area so you can see the ball. What gives you the best picture a bulb or laser/LED?

I use a $59 portable "wewatch" indoors with low lights on an it works. I have dimmable lights so I can adjust that. it's a cheaper image cause cheap projector but I use it for music charts an not movies or high res games. If you want your golf to be super high detail probably gonna have to be a nice one. The light mostly makes small details harder to see as you introduce more. Also your eyes adjust to dark rooms. I've usually found the projector itself tends to light up the area in front of it. But like a tiny light enough to see a ball shouldn't be too much. Specially if you spotlight the area on the ground in front of you. If you don't mind the room being kinda dark you should be able to put a spot light pointing at the ground in your tee area an see very well. I can shine my camera flashlight all over with very little interference till it I shine it at the screen. An I can adjust to that just fine.
I've seen golf Sims at arcades an there is plenty of light leaking around an those have bad quality. But still able to see. If you can see with a good flashlight pointing towards the ground or a couple candles; that won't interfere AT ALL. You are gonna have to ceiling mount it because you will be standing in it's throw line. Unless you don't mind angling it from the side so the image is distorted. But that could interfere with your perception of hitting angles

I want to see lasers in the wild for a bit longer to see what the REAL rate of light loss of a laser is. Switching a bulb is easy and fairly cheap. Lasers... not so much.

Fun fact lamp projectors will be banned in the EU and their replacement bulbs, so dont buy lamp here lol and if you have one already stock up on replacements.

Did I hear Phil correctly. A bulb projector using the iris can produce better contrasts and hence better blacks than a laser at a similar price point?
Also says a lamp will be his preference over a laser for watching a movie.
So how does this tie in with all the promotional fanfare re current crop of JVC laser projectors?
Is the nx9 which is bulb based a better projector for watching 4k movies than its current youngest brother the nz900 on lets say a 100" 16:9 screen in a bat cave?
Also lets wait and see how long a laser will actually last.
