My sympathies are with the elephant whose tiny bit of territory was invaded by this ignorant fellow. What kind of father would put his child in such danger??
An ignorant inbred one
This guy needs to be put in prison for a long time he is obvious a danger to his daughter and to animals because if the elephant would have attacked him they would have put the elephant down
@@Weatheredstorms1
You beat me to it.
What was this father or who ever he is thinking when he put this child in danger just to get a picture. He’s irresponsible and impulsive behavior put that child’s life in danger. He should be arrested. The mother of the child should never trust him with being alone with child again. If he was my husband / boyfriend, he would suffer some serious consequences after this.
A very stupid one. That doesn't mean he is a bad father. But stupid. Yes indeed.
Some people should never have children.
The majority of humans shouldnt have children.
It’s always the dumbasses that breeds like rats
@@Phat-Boi Totally underrated comment.
@John seed Nutt No. That's not it.
Or be allowed to live for that matter.
That elephant was just scolding him, "What the hell is wrong with you, get out!"
Exactly...that's a cage to a human but home to that elephant. The dad essentially broke in and was about to get stomped out by elephant self defense
He doesn’t deserve custody of his child with that stunt.
Better than foster care.
@@rio8101 rio shut up

I was thinking that too. Though I hope and pray that she was not the one willing to take the photo. There's a 2nd dumb person in this stupid soup...
@@nelsonpineda8047 Courts won’t protect the child either way. He will get a slap on the wrist at most. I advocate for victims of DV and 700+ children have been killed by their fathers since 2012 after divorce. It takes a lot to get a DVRO, and even then 70% of the time the child is given to the abuser and the protective parent is accused of alienation and false allegations.
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe” ~ Albert Einstein
Perfect example
Part of his punishment should be to clean the elephant enclosure for a year so he learns about them and learns to appreciate BOUNDARIES. He could have gotten the elephant killed.
Hello @ canis greetings from 🇺🇸
Excellent Thought...hope the judge will be so inspired!!
Beautiful comment! hello Canis, I’m Adams from Midland TX how are you and your family doing with the pandemic issue?
In all reality, all 3 of them could died. If the elephant decided to kill them, the elephant would been killed by the zoo.
He wanted to be close to the elephant so he endangered himself and his kid and your solution is basically to reward him for being an idiot. x.x
We wouldn't need to have such strict enclosures or have to periodically euthanize zoo animals if people weren't so stupid. I love how the guy at the end is like "I'm glad the child is alright... at least".
Why would anyone be able to enter a well secured with well supervised zoo,for protection of animals and people and employees?why would any woman produce a child with such a male unless she was defective also? Criminally intentionally negligence by zoo officials in all those incidents mentioned, for animals and visitors and employees.
Precious wildlife like Elephants don't belong in "strict enclosures" or Zoos. They belong in sanctuaries like the one in Tennessee free from the actions of stupid humans.
Hello @genesis greetings from 🇺🇸
Even if the elephant killed the dad they wouldn’t even put the animal down.
@@robertziegler7168 hello Robert 😁🇺🇸

The sad part is, if something terrible would’ve actually happened, the one who would have to suffer and pay the price would be the elephant/animal. It’s always the innocent animals who pay for humans stupidity.
Um and probably the child...
@@Zzz2x I highly highly doubt the/a child would ever be killed/put down for a humans stupidity like this.
@@gl3936 The elephant could have killed the child, so yes the child could have suffered more than they already have. I bet that was a traumatizing moment for the child and they are probably still paying the price for what the dad did.
@@McChicken94 yes the elephant could’ve killed the child and who’s fault would it be?????🙄 the child would suffer but the elephant would have been killed sooooo the elephant doesn’t have the same opportunity to suffer like the child. The child is alive and the animal gets sacrificed. There’s clearly a difference and it’s crazy that you can’t differentiate them.
@@gl3936 It would not be the childs fault. The child was only 2 years old and is probably very much traumatized. The elephant was innocent I'm not debating that, but it wasn't the only innocent one in danger as you say. You are right there is a difference the life of an innocent child is more valuable than an elephant's.
The elephant could have killed him easily. That was a light warning.
Yeah. If that elephant wanted him he would have gotten him.
@@hamfistsman6267 she* the elephants name is shava
Your right it was a warning. You can tell that she wasn't being aggressive towards them.
The sad thing here is that if someone had been hurt, the elephant would have it on its "permanent record", simply for defending itself.
Or worse, they could put it down 😠
@Promise You I don't see what gives us the right to put an animal down like that. Especially endangered species like elephants. Especially when it's not the elephants fault, it's plain cruel, just release it back in the wild then where it's away from people instead of putting in inclosures where nut jobs like that enter the enclosures and get themselves hurt, then they shoot the elephant and that's just plain wrong.
The saddest thing is that the elephant is in a zoo in the first place
Yep, and maybe would have put down
@@guyhaskins3829 If it was raised in captivity it wouldn't be able to survive on its own in the wild. That's why the orca from the Free Willy movies died when they freed her.

I am still pissed about Harambe!! Zoos are awful enough, then here come these negligent parents! 😠😡👎🏽
I'm still upset and pissed bout Harambe too! 😢💔😡😡
Im also pissed about Harambe, however back off of zoos. Zoos are an integral role in animal conservation. Accredited zoos have been an important component in preserving endangered species, as well as housing animals that could otherwise never return to the wild. They're generally a force for good.
@@Ciara_Foxx 😢 Thank You!!
@@Ciara_Foxx I'll do no such thing. You should really dig deeper & educate yourself on the subject. Zoos love that you believe that they are leading the charge on conservation efforts. Sadly, this is not the case. Forced breeding to generate offspring destined for a life in captivity is doing absolutely nothing to preserve wildlife. And, FYI, the vast majority of animals held in the stressful, zoochosis-inducing environment of zoos are not Endangered Species. They are there simply to generate profits.
@@ChandraNYC well clearly you never heard of California Condor, Golden Lion Tamarin Scimitar Horned Oryx, Mountain Yellow Legged Frog, Przewalski’s Horse, Mountain Bongos, Black Footed Ferret then. These are all species saved by accredited zoological institutions that have also had reintroduction programs into the wild. Nature is not the pretty picture people paint it to be: animals and plants have to deal with deforestation, human encroachment, predation, sickness, hunting, and climate change. Much of the homes that endangered species used to reign in has diminished drastically over the past decades and will continue to do so if no stricter rules and regulations are enforced. It’s not an black and white issue, many things in life aren’t. Yes there are bad zoos and zoos that need to improve for the well being of their animals, that’s a fact. But accredited zoos, aquariums, Safari parks have to not only donate money to ex-Siri conservation programs but also actively be involved in in-situ conservation meaning at their facilities. All the species I named off are a just a handful saved by such accredited facilities so to paint all zoos as evil or bad, is truly arrogant. I don’t want animals to not have a proper home either and the way the world is going, things are getting worse before they are getting better unless we all do our part to make it better and fight for it. If you truly think they are bad, then animals like the California Condor and Golden Lion Tamarin would not even exist due to self righteous attitudes of those who claim zoos are all bad. No zoo is perfect but they have been changing for the better and I do think they are necessary as well.
"Some animals shouldn't breed."
The elephant said to the other elephants at the bar..
Im gonna wager a guess that this “dad” is not the primary caregiver. Visitation day gone wrong. Mom will soon be signing those court docs denying future visitations.
I think you're right. Since he was likely by himself at the zoo with his toddler, he knew he couldn't just leave her to go take a picture so he took her with him.

from Hello greetings 🇺🇸
He invaded the elephant area. When are these zoos going to make this IMPOSSIBLE?
Why should the zoos have to make it impossible? The only way to do that is keep people out of zoos. Anyone going into an animal's enclosure needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. We need to make adults accountable for their actions. He knew perfectly well what he was doing.
@@thisorthat7626 they could have better fences etc. also we don’t even need zoos but these company want profit

@@Eddybih03 I totally agree, although San Diego isn't the worst zoo. What bothers me the most is that these elephants are separated from their families. Elephants usually travel in herds with numerous family members. OTOH, they're safe from poachers, but they should be in a sanctuary.

RIP Harambe. You are missed every day.
I'm glad I saw your post. Didn't Harambe actually protect the child? And wasn't the child in there due to an accident?
@@Kev621 Yes, he did protect the kid. The boy fell into the enclosure because the parents weren't being attentive enough. Poor Harambe sacrificed his own life. Sad.
@@khismet how else would they have taken the child away from the gorilla? They can’t just ask the gorilla “thanks you for protecting the child, can we have him back”. They had to shoot him or something
@@Eddybih03 Actually, there were ways to get the kid without killing the gorilla. Harambe was not a danger to the child. The end result was an overreaction and the murder of a precious member of the gorillas family unit.
@@khismet like what? A tranquilizer gun? That would’ve most likely made the gorilla more upset . Plus wasn’t the gorilla grabbing the boy by his legs and dragging him? It wasn’t gonna let the child go

He dropped the baby to save himself... Can you imagine if the mother had did that?
Why is everything always about the mother?
I truly do hope that his child was taken from him and put with someone safe. And he should be under a court order not to be allowed in her presence. How stupid.
If that elephant wanted to he/she could have stomped on that man and baby but he only wanted them out of the enclosure.
Never ever ever ever ever EVER give that baby back to that dude
This guy needs a long jail sentence This could have been worse than the grandfather dropping his granddaughter on a cruise ship a few years ago
Wow.Just wow.
Elephant grabs kid and gently places the kid outside the fence, then pushes the dad into the electric fence until police arrive. You know that could have happened. Nothing is impossible you know. Elephants are very intelligent.
Imagine growing up with a father like that. Poor kid never had a chance.
The gorilla NEVER had harm or malice in mind and died because of a NEGLIGENT Parent! It was confused and trying to help!

Smh 🤦♂️ The stupidity level on this father is off the charts
1:57 "Well, we're glad the CHILD was unharmed at the very least."
Is it just me or does he sound a bit disappointed at the level of unharm to the father?
No, "at the very least" meaning that she could have been stomped to death, not just harmed. The elephant could have crushed both of them and showed great restraint.
Yeah. Let’s just pick the biggest bear in the forest and go poke him. That’s how we roll! lol
Omg. What else can you say?
'Dropped the child as he ran away'
I love the narrative.
R.I.P Harambe
Imagine if we had lost this endangered elephant from a gunshot because of a stupid human endangering himself and his child.
Reckless for the baby, the animal and him, in that order! His actions could have harmed or killed the child as well as the poor elephant minding its business in captivity. If it had reacted violently in any other way and had to be put down, it’s not right or fair to the threatened animal in an enclosure to be put down for acting out of fear or startled. Thank goodness all walked away unharmed and alive because of one man’s need for a better picture? Really dude?
I am glad zoo response team didnt have to shoot the elephant like they did harambe.
And honestly, the zoo never HAD to shoot Harambe.
@@chrise.321 so they just ask the gorilla to have the child then?
@Diana Moore I think the issue with using a tranquilizer is that it would have taken time for it to take effect. They wanted to get the child out as quickly as possible; safety of the child is more valuable than a Gorilla.
@Diana Moore Humans are more important than animals. Humans and animals take care of their own kind. If it came down to it I'd put down an animal to protect a child; heck I'd do it to protect you. You are right though, it is unfortunate that some animals are kept in zoo's, but there are some instances where it's necessary. Accredited zoo's normally work to release animals back into the wild and to preserve endangered species. They also tend to educate the public about the environment and animals in ways that couldn't be done through a book or documentary. It took me visiting an aquarium and seeing a giant sculpture made up of plastic bottles and trash to see how much of an impact I had on the animals I had just seen. That's when I stopped buying plastic bottles and started using a reusable bottle and switched from plastic bags to reusable ones at the grocery store.
I work for a zoo and you'd be surprised what parents are willing to do with their children to get a photo. We've had to build really high fencing around polar bears (where a tall barrier already existed) so that parents don't climb up and hold their child over the edge. We also have to warn them all the time around the hippo pool.
As an American citizen.. WE DO NOT CLAIM HIM.
The elephant already did.
But California does
