  • Tim Anderson was one of the best players in Major League Baseball not too long ago. In the past two years though, he has been one of the worst players in the entire league. A downfall this drastic and this sudden doesn't happen too often, and there has to be a reason behind it. He went from leading the Chicago White Sox to the playoffs to now playing for one of the worst teams in the league, the Miami Marlins. In this video, I look to find some answers to the question: What happened to Tim Anderson?

Tim Anderson was always a "Me" player, putting himself above the team. His tantrums and his selfish ways were bad enough, and then he attempted to smear the name of an all time great in Jackie Robinson. By comparing himself to Robinson, Anderson showed just how self absorbed and disconnected her truly was.
He was a solid player, never great. And now he's getting cut by a last place team, which makes you wonder who he'll blame for this since nothing is ever his fault.

Baseball is the hardest sport to play, he took up baseball as a senior in high school, was a great basketball player. His defense on routine plays was horrendous, he could make the phenomenal plays because of his athleticism.
Watching tapes of him in the Chisox clubhouse, looked like a complete jerk. Thought he knew it all, but knew nothing.

I'm looking at Baseball Savant right now. I think you nailed it. He's just not making good enough contact. He's not barreling anything and he's not hitting the sweet spot of the bat. He exceeded the expected batting averages because of his sprint speed, but that's declined tremendously so he's no longer turning those nubbers into hits. I think there must be something wrong with his swing mechanics. He's still in his prime. Seeing a guy drop off in his prime is pretty rare. It does happen, but we usually expect to see this kind of drop off after a guy turns 35, not 31.

Not even sprint speed, just simply luck. A lot of those batted balls in those 4 years just had eyes. A bloop here, a seeing-eye ground ball single there, they add up. If it were speed, then he would still have a respectable average today, he didn’t get any slower. That .335 batting title was luck, plain and simple

Learn the bible and what's the ACTUAL definition of adultery.
A man can have as many women and wives that he can take care of now , this is a weatern civilization and that's confusing to begin with because it's an atheist society that masquerades as a Christian nation as well as one that's open and friendly to every religion and faith , which again is a contradiction in itself when you have to hurdle over secularism , racism , homosexuality , the promotion of feminism and slore culture.
Adultery is when a man sleeps with another man's wife , simple and plain , so that means if a married woman sleeps with any man.
You people cut off your own birthright by adding such foolish stipulations into your life.
Now , if the woman that you're considering has a problem with that , then that's for discussion , but you people that misinterpret the Bible are just a stumbling black for sure and you're extremely uninformed.

saying he was ever a defense first shortstop is literally hilarious. dude has a career -30 DRS (including a laughable -23 in 2017 which was his first full season) and an abysmal -34.1 UZR. The dude has almost always been a complete liability in the field. In his best years he was just "not a terrible shortstop" lol.
Here's his average ranking in DRS among all shortstops during his career compared against all qualifying shortstops: 20/20 (2017), 4/22 (2018), 17/21 (2019), 9/21 (2020 - shortened season), 11/21 (2021), 22/23 (2022), 20/20 (2023) and he's middle of the pack again this year so far.
    I've always thought UZR was a little more accurate than DRS so here are his UZR numbers: 20/20 (2017), 13/22 (2018), 21/21 (2019), 18/20 (2020 - shortened season), 18/21 (2021), 20/22 (2022), 18/20 (2023), and he's 21st so far this year.
I've seen a TON of whitesox games during his career and having him at shortstop has ALWAYS bothered me. I personally cannot believe they never moved him somewhere else. If he was hitting .320 with 30 hrs every year it would be alright but even during his best years he wasn't hitting for enough power to warrant the insane liability he was in the field. He has been good with the bat in his career but has always been an awful fielder IMO.

He stopped putting the work in. And now hes in his head, which is the worst thing for a player. He needs a total reset, but will his ego allow it??..

I will still never understand why people were so hyped on him. He was always average and he got gifted that batting title. His ego is why he’s a failure because I’m sure he still won’t be coachable or change anything because he’s TA7 damn it! Lmao 😂 also keep making your videos! You do an awesome job!

9:55 Is it just me or does TA look kinda silly when he runs sometimes. Especially when they show him from behind. On a couple of those runs he's flailing his arms around all weird.

Good lord, all these channels are just stat vomit. You didnt really say or teach anything. All you did is post stats that drop from one year to the next. If anything it proves that all these useless stats arent necessary. Were you watching Tim struggle? What actual insight did you provide here? You didnt really display any baseball related knowledge of decline other than google searches that a novice fan can find to reach your same conclusions.
