MY DREAM CAR, I just love that tapered front bumper how it drops down to inhance that gorgeous tall grill, I don't like the ones that have that stupid bar across the grill it ruins the whole idea of what that tapered bumper is intended for .. I absolutely love the 72 mark IV model year, way better than it's predecessor the mark 3 ever thought of being, especially in esthetics styling ..
I like the 3 spoke steering wheel better, the 2 spoke steering wheel looks to much like a regular Ford, the 3 spoke seems more Lincolnesque. Anybody know why some Mark IV's had the 2 spoke and some had the 3 spoke?
Thoroughly agree with you. The three spoke looks so much better. Starting in 73 Lincoln went with the standard 2 spoke ford steering wheel used on the LTD and others.
Ford's optional cruise control system put the operation switches only on the 2-spoke wheel across all Ford makes, from Thunderbird to the Mark IV. When you see the 3-spoke wheel you are looking at a car without cruise control. The Mark IV's 3-spoke steering wheel is so beautiful many were ordered from the Wixom assembly plant without Cruise Control.
