    Beautiful example of the BEST LOOKING motor car ever built in America and the world to date... Nothing compares and Lincoln Continental blows me away. Australian guy.

      Yet look at Lincolns over the past few decades. Common and horrible looking. Used largely as black taxi/gypsy cabs here in New York City. Ugly embarrassments nowadays. Damn shame what has happened to our once great American culture.

    Most beautiful American made car from the 1970's.

      Especially these Mark 4s with the deluxe trimmings and moldings. Not all of them had the various chrome trim and plastic molding that this one has.
      They look so much better with it.

    By the way, this is the Cartier Designer Model. Dove grey in and out. There was the Versailles option that gave it an over the top crushed velour interior. I adore this car! Shame there's no moonroof option. BTW, in 1976, to save a measly 20 pounds, they deep sixed the electric side pillar windows that pulled sideways into the car.

    My grandparents had one when I was a kid in the late 70s. I remember the power vent windows going down first then the main window. When we were in the back seat they would lower the power vent windows while smoking guess that's why I remember the vent windows. Lol

    Looks like it was built on the same platform as the 76's Thunderbird. What I had always appreciated with the Lincold is that not only did the driver had 6 way power seats, but also the passenger side, along with his being on the door panel than reaching down under the side of the seat. I am not fond of leather seats as I prefer cloth seating. Leather, you must always add a chemical to keep it from cracking and drying out, and also cold when you sit into a leather seat when it is very cold.

    Shame it didn't have the moonroof option!

      Which has to be the one of the largest moonroofs ever installed on an American car, however with it, no headroom for anyone over 6' tall.

    • @viciouspoodle5543
      @viciouspoodle5543 4 года назад +1

      @@douglasb.1203 42 inches wide made by American Sunroof! I think it took out 3 inches of headroom but it was fabulous!

    My dad really liked the style and lines of the Mark IV, but it was a bit expensive for him. The End.

      206 HP with tons of torque. These still had the 460 though de-tuned but you could cruise at 95MPH all day. You're full of it.

      No, because there was no Landau Roof option with the chrome and forged aluminum wheels.
