    • @neilward5825
      @neilward5825 3 года назад +4

Hi @notreal. Of course we should call out racism. Jeremy Corbyn is not Hitler. I genuinely don't understand how it's possible to criticise Israeli government's treatment of Palestinians without being accused of being anti-semitic. How can we do it? I'm sure it's true to say that Jeremy Corbyn has unwittingly created safe spaces for anti-Semitism. But it seems ludicrous to me to suggest that he is himself an anti-Semite or that he orchestrated a campaign against Jews in anything resembling the way that Hitler openly did. There is no question that the mainstream media has had a strong anti Corbyn bias and from the very beginning they were doing their level best to ambush him on anything from whether he would now before the Queen to whether he should wear a smarter tie- anything except talk about his policies. Doubtless he didn't get much of the approach to anti-Semitism right, or did it too late, but these are thorny issues. Can you give an example of what would be a valid criticism of Israel's policies towards Palestinians that doesn't constitute anti-Semitism? Not trying to antagonise. It's a genuine question which I think many of us struggle with.

The destruction of the Labour Party by Starmer, Reeves and most of the MPs will not be forgotten. Working against its own members so it could destroy Corbyn will not be forgiven.
Let's get one thing straight, the labour party did not suffer its worst defeat since the 1930s under Corbyn in 2019!
It did get the least MPs, but that's because of our voting system.
On actual votes cast for Labour Corbyn wins hands down.
      General elections
1997 Tony Blair 13,518,167 votes and that was a landslide.
      2001 Tony Blair 10,724,953 votes
      2005 Tony Blair 9,567,589 votes
      2010 Gordon Brown 8,609,527 votes
      2015 Ed Miliband 9,347,273 votes
      2017 Jeremy Corbyn 12,877,918 votes
2019 Jeremy Corbyn 10,292,354 votes. apparently the worst election for Labour ever!
Jeremy Corbyn got more votes for the Labour party in the last 20 years except for Blaire's 1997 landslide victory.
So If right wing labour MPs had got behind Corbyn instead of stabbing him in the back, who knows where we could be now!
As for Stamer, well let's look at Hartlepool.
      2017 / 21,969 votes
      2019 / 15,464 votes
      2021 / 8,885 votes

The right of the party and Starmer need to apologise to the party and Jeremy.

@@oneleggedwonder1 if you read my earlier message you will I responded to someone and fully explained my reasoning. I agree with your point that he is indecisive and that’s why he’s not getting many peoples votes .But you have to go back to why he is being indecisive. It’s because of the infighting in the party. He wants to appear centrist but for the most part is just agreeing with conservative policy but playing mr hindsight. Therefore, the only other option is to outline his policy which he doesn’t even know as the government right now to be honest is taking a more centrist approach due to Corona. The only way he can criticise this is by moving to the left like Corbin which he doesn’t want to do because of the 2019 people election. However , Starmer fails to realise that the as I stated above the only reason Labour lost 2019 was due to Brexit and not CORBIN himself as the only thing that changed between 2017 and 2019 was what the Brexit mood and Labours indecisiveness led to their loss .

If what some of them say they want is the things the Conservative Party offer, how does it help Labour? What would be the point of doing the same? If what some of them say them want is to blame their real problems on people and institutions that are not responsible for their hardship, what is the point in Labour agreeing with them and adopting policies that just make people feel like they've stuck two fingers up at someone but don't actually solve the problems.
