Personally, I just let Beats on the HTC One do the work but back in the day I used to use #2 on this list for mine.

I have a galaxy note 4 through verizon. Anything out there that will give me thumping sound using my powerboats 3 and youtube? I had precise volume. Worked great for a month than my phone started to override the app

You shouldn't use equalizers at all. It just ruins the sound. If you have poweramp I recommend the bass and treble tone knobs although not turned up too much as they will distort the sound.
If only the eq feature on PowerAmp was available on the free version, I think it would've made #1 on the list.

If you think you need an equalizer, what you really need are higher quality headphones.

Actually, even your ear shape might create resonances, and expensive headphones are not perfectly tuned to your ears, or necessarily tuned to your subjective liking! So even with high-end headphones, you'll need an equalizer to either flatten out the range, or removing frequencies that might end up hurting your ears while listening at high volumes, possibly leaving you with a permanent tinnitus
Is there an adjustable eq that can be used in chrome or on any screen to be adjusted without leaving the screen on a mobile device and not a pc?
No EQ can beat PowerAMP's built-in amazing equalizer.

All the EQ apps low freq. is 60Hz which is not deep or 'heavy' enough. Needs to be at 30Hz to 40Hz.

can anyone tell me if it's possible to play tracks on RUclips through a graphic EQ?
I have one that comes with the player which works fine but when I listen to music on RUclips it sounds flat in comparison with very little bass end.
I've searched the RUclips AP and I can't find any graphic EQ in there, if there is one. If not, what a shame.
I don't see the point in downloading one of the apps reviewed on here if it doesn't work with RUclips.

How are yall (viewers) going to forget about PowerAmp??? Wtf?! Yes its not fully free (free for 14 days, $2.99 to unlock) but trust me people, the $3 will be the BEST $3 you will EVER spend (: I'm serious, I've used a BUNCH of eq apps, & NONE of them come close to Poweramp, 10 band eq, you can set a custom eq for ANYTHING & even each individual song, c'mon guys try it... even has themes & a bass booster as the rest & a Treble "softener" (I like to call it)
It all depends on what headphones you use. I literally have different settings for all of my headphones, i also have different settings for my headphones + my Andes E07K DAC.. some headphones have & some need more bass/treble, just play with each band back & forth till it makes your headphones sound better, also play with the "Stereo X" setting, don't put it too high, it'll have too much soundstage & won't sound good... good luck 👍

Based on sales numbers for Beats headphones I can very well imagine why the basses are maxed out on many presets in a number of these equalizers... People just have no idea what they are doing and love bass because they don't know any better. Funnily enough, those are the kind of people that wouldn't even consider such an app. :P
Beats are horrible, nothing but a muddy bass driven sound stage. Ive tried them before and cant believe people purchase them, especially for the price. And they can't compare to the Audio Technica MX50's at prob half the price

I haven't found anything better than Mixzing for mp3 eq. It individually Eq's single songs, albums or all songs which all the other ones do. It also has a 10 band eq. Unfortunately, it is no more 😔
Auto eq isn't better than an album or individual song eq fir mp3 option. (A) rock band was produced with way more bass than (B) rock band so you will hear a drastic difference even though the auto EQ is set to rock. More developers need to realize this...

i used poweramp, but now i can manage with google play music's integrated equalizer and take advantage of cloud storage.
None of these Equalizers work for my wired headphones but all them work for my bluetooth, do the equilzers not work for wired headphones? PS: Nobody say use Viper4android because I don't want to root my phone.

Why all songs sound at the same volume, but when turn the equalizer on volumen changes from one song to the other. Is there a fix for that?

Theres gotta be an EQ app, where you can control more than just 10 bands, and isn't a stupid music player.
Only a player with EQ on software level. You are limited to provided EQ by Android OS. One good example is Sound Tune powered by Pioneer (31 bands) or CapTune powered by Sennhieser (7 bands with a parametric eq and has a SoundCheck function; you can get the apk download only from outside of Play Store). I did find one particular good one named "Neutralizer" which is fine tuning to your ears.

Hi everyone. I recently bought a 10inch radio with Android 9.1 installed. The model number on the back says c80. The problem is when I play the radio I cannot adjust the equalizer, I also tried to download many equalizes and none of them will adjust the sound when playing the radio they will only adjust when playing music through a USB or when I hook up my cell phone through Bluetooth. The other problem is, the two video inputs do not work at all and there is no wire to activate them, the camera input works fine. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. It's the radio with the flat back on it.

DSP-Manager is the king of all. Why isnt it in this list?
It ruins it only if you rely too much on presets. if you actually know how to fine-tune equalizers manually, you shouldn't have much of a problem. :P

Or you could, you know, not completely muck up what the professional mixing and mastering engineer(s) spent hours working on and perfecting. If they wanted the song to have a different EQ curve, it would be that way.
The only reasonable use I can think of for this is for some sort of specific event when it may be required, like creatively in a drama performance. PERHAPS even if you have a bad speaker system with an odd, inhibiting EQ curve.
Please don't use an EQ if it's not necessary.
