Just imagine being one the actors that get to wear the suit. Such a childhood dream to be in a futuristic armor/suit while feeling awesome and cool arrghhhh I WANT ONE!
I can't imagine it was super comfortable but yes much badass
@@cabnbeeschurgr6440 you can get it on eBay
The spine was a practical effect? Well, color me impressed!
IKR! I had no idea either.
I'll be dammed. This movie is truly masterpiece
this made me adore the entirety of Pacific Rim 1 more than i used to.
My only issue with that movie is that Cherno Alpha and Crimson died waaay to fast and easy.
I was expecting Cherno to literally smash atleast 2 Kaijus before going down fighting.
I concur.
Yeah, but those 2 kaijus are the exact countermeasure for those 2 jaeger
@@pierodaniel8530 true cerno alpha major strength was its armor but the burned through it and crimsion
Tyhppon was his head body was extremely well armored but still get his he is defenseless striker eureka was EMP which Is good counter measure for jaggers
good pilots only go so far for an ageing mark 1 rip cherno
Cherno Alpha is my favorite :(
Imagine wearing this while riding a freakin motorcycle that would be so AWESOME!!!!!!
+Paul Ramos You'd look like a souped up Power Ranger lol
Superstanz UN
Or in a fitness studio
You mean like the last Robocop? DUH...
The suits were unfortunately downgraded in Uprising.
Unlike uprising, The 1st movie matches the Jaeger as well as Age,
Uprising made the suits more lighter and more flexible and less complex
Yup
@@nobpyxl5389 and lamer
uprising downgraded everything
the feature is the "MatchMaker" brush. It allows you to conform the current sub-tool to the contour of the objects underneath.
Thank you! i have been wondering this for years
I would love to have one of those suits
I want a real life working jaeger
If only kaiju sized animal exist :(
@@ueno7228 yeah if only…
dude what the actual hell. Do you honestly think that would be cool? We would all be dead by now if that was the case
@@iggiboi2501 I wouldn't mind dying
MAN, THOSE SUITS ARE JUST AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE JEAGERS THEMSELVES
That is some beautiful practical effects work and it looked amazing in the film.
I want to have my own suit. I was thinking that was the coolest looking sci-fi movie armor in years.
Wow who would have thought it's not CGI!?Amazing job!
OMG OMG, this is amazing! Awesome! The suits are beautiful!
Pacific rim suits: Proper body armour and futuristic tech.
Uprising suits: Pyjamas
that spine is really amazing!
Really impressive stuff,
I really respect the work you guys put in this movie :)
These really are beautiful sculptures.
Great job, amazing.
WOW,, I thought that the spine was cg,,, because it looks so amazing,, this is awesome!!!
In the original, each Jager was unique right down to the suits. Uprising, lets make each Jager a different color but have a unique weapon. Oh and child size suits.
Attention to details in del Toro movies is just unmatchable.
Amazing work! Congratulations!
GREAT JOB LEGACY EFFECTS
Awesome!
This is amazing!!!
Nice to see that there is a lot of craftsman`s work and not all is a CG in the actual movies.
I really love that Shark ranger-ish black helmet behind him in the background.
SO damn COOL!!!
now I want one!
epic! what a epic costume.
I love the 'spine'.
I know, so I! One more reason to love this film.
The helmets are awesome
Why did it take me so long to find this channel?! Friggin loved this movie and I can't wait to see if Legacy Effects will have in store for Legendary Picture's 2014 Godzilla re-boot :-DDD
I hope they get inspiration from the American remake, it was decent (godzilla parts) thet actors and their parts weren't so nice
So much work for a good movie
I want all of them!
I want one of these suits!!!
o man...this is the best movie i've seen..the suits & special effects was pretty amazing...its look real...i hate Kaiju..lol..
Nice, cheers. Grats on the effects. Pacific Rim is how a giant monster and robot film SHOULD be done. Take note Mr Bay
i think it helped link the suit up with the Jaegar
mi sueño es trabajar aquí!! esto es fabuloso!! :)
We waiting PACIFIC RIM 3
How interesting.
Indeed.
you guys have th best jobb! im so yelly =)
I didn't know Legacy Effects has a RUclips account! Well, time to subscribe! Weeee!
Matchmaker
I want a suit .... very cool
I want one of those suits
The Jaeger cockpit is the most brutal and amazing visceral experience unfortunately the uprising version ruined it
because crimson typhoon was my absoulute favorite
The spine is really cool, but in the end what do they need it for? Does it have a purpose? Like helping the drift or anything?
0:28 that needs to be a halo suit
A+
FUCKING AMAZING!!!
most awesome job in the world, How come people said art major is hard to get a job?
Actually those are not all the materials used. There are many other technologies and beta materials that were utilized in our RP technology.
Cool!
He suit that they had Marshal wear was very similar to the Crysis nanosuits.
SUBSCRIBED! :B WOW! :D
We used sub-micro hobby servos
Wow! :D
Some very familiar with the manufacturing process
they got the concept from the old 80's movie" Robot Jox" but with aliens this time as opponents!
The spine integrates the suit with the sub-suit(circuit suit) which integrates the user's nervous system to the Yaeger.
Cool cool cool cool cool! SO cool! ;)
I'm so enamored with the complexity of the armor alone... This special fabric for the flex areas, was it actually suitable as a conductor (such as this conductive silver material from a google search) or did you folks bust out something totally unique and proprietary?
\
I love and envy what you all have done here... Can only dream of being on a crew like that.
Super. I want to work in legasy Effects!
super
How very perceptive, Watson :)
I thought so too.. but it didn't seem linked to anything.. I mean its a unique piece, it doesn't look like it has any spot to be linked to Gipsy Danger's system. I don't think they had "cables" or anything else attacched to their spine during the film.
most of guillermo's films were mixed practical effects and cgi
like pan's labyrinth and hell boy
💕💕
the sequel suits look like trash
Rhys Clark Film & Media atleast the uprising's suits are better than those of DCEU's Flash costume
The sequel suits look decent in my opinion, they just don't have that distinction and different styles like the 1st movie. I was worried that they would look like plasticky Halloween costumes, and I was wrong actually, they do have a finished metal look to them, but not done in the same way as the 1st movie like I said.
Reporting for hate speech
@@leolizguela1437 nah.
But i like uprising
At the 30 sec mark. Does anyone how how the emblem of the eagle is curved to the shoulder piece?
Eric Ruffalo I would like to know this too. First time I saw this video about a year ago Aswell I started to seek for this tool... plus uno.
What Zbrush brush is that at 0:30? it looks so useful
Where would I be able to find shots of the lower back of the Kaidanovskys' suits?
What was the light blue colour mould (liquid) you showed at 1:05 ? Any brand available for personal or scientific use ?
0:31 minutes, is that a brush that makes the eagle relief conform to the curvature of the armature? What's the name?
What feature was used to conform the wing design to the shoulderplate?
Out of curiosity, what did you use then?
XSI !
I would pay good money to buy a pilot suit :3
What kind of fabric did the suits use?
2.04 Двенадьать - Двенадцать, Есть - Шесть, ахаха, ahaha!!!
Monsters vs Robots, that's all I need. Screw the plot.
Were the suits created in 3ds Max then opened in zbrush?
The pilot suit in this movie look like real armor. The suit in second movie look like spandex with plastic on it
I would pay $80000 for the Australian suit
i wanted crimson typhoon to live a little bit longer but :(
Makes me think of HALO armor.
Can you make Pacific Rim 2 Movie?
how much does it cost or order one of these?
above where? I am looking for the brush name
it looked like they were using xsi and zbrush
We didn't use carbon fiber on the suits.
Did you use real carbon fiber in the american suits?
If so what type of lay up did you use? infusion or prepreg?
I can't find this anywhere.. Who's helmet is just to the right of him and left of the gold fluid helmet?
that helmet its from the black guy who saved mako when he was in his jagger
Jean Lopez That would be Stacker Pentecost
See above what? I'd also like to know about this technique, thanks
I cant find the White Et's vídeo. The one at the "Subscribe to Our RUclips Channel" window at the end of the vídeo. Can You help me?
How much those it cost to make a suite?
