Ben that's cool little baler looks it still does the job well. I'd say it would be worth more in sentimental value also each time you use it prolly make you think about your papa. It's cool to see you out there enjoyin yourself. Know nothin more enjoyin for me than to be doin anything on tractor. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy ya'lls family time and homestead
Good Day Sir, It is nice that we have rain now !!! Great Baling Round Baler and Yes this one will be good for living in the edge on steep angle field 👌😇👍 You stick to your plan ( Ranger !!! ) slow win the race 👍😇👌HAve a nice week Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
I’m glad you got some rain, that’s great news! Yes I’ll never forget that salesman’s face when I pulled out with the baler and Ranger for a 1.5 hour drive home. Thanks for watching
I like the New Idea 483 baler, does a decent job. You think like me, if it still works, why try to sell it for a thousand, more or less, hang on to it for a just in case, what if scenario! My first round baler was a 1999 New Holland 654 I bought in 2004. My son and I used it until we bought a new John Deere in 2020, for three times the price. Would have kept it, but they wanted as much to repair it as I paid for it. Nice video, enjoyed watching, have a great weekend!
@@khtractorsIt is my privilege to watch your videos because you and your dad put up hay like my brother and myself, and it reminds me of how us and our dad worked together.
Hey Ben, that's an interesting baler. The Ranger would be working to pull that home lol. Especially where you live with all the hills and curves. That is a hilly field that you were baling! It takes an expert operator to bale hay on those side hills. The baler works well. Take care
Mine went out several years ago, actually it was the gears stripped out. Mike had one with a bad motor and I made one out of two. Mom and Dad bought me a spare tie jack that Christmas, it will fit this baler and the 1745 if I ever need it. Thanks for watching
I really like that baler, nice to see it out again! Such an interesting design. Any sense how many squares would “fit” in a soft core bale like that, rather than your Massey’s hard core? Seems like a nice option to have if the weather’s ever iffy and you want to let the bales air out a little. Nice video!
Hi Ben we seen your John Deere has a park does it have a parking brake too? Or is it not hard to take it out of park when it goes up against the park gear
These have about 8-10 square bales in them. I’ve never rebaled any of the ones from the Massey 1745 baler but it would be several more. Thanks for watching
Ben glad to see the 483, as you know ive got the case branded 484 and like it too cheap to maintain and cheap to buy nowdays. I wonder how much these balers cost new back in the day? Do you still have the monitor with yours and is it working? mine is just feed til i strain the tractor and that is my full monitor lol

I do like the little baler, it’s been great! Thanks for watching

Really appreciate the comment and for watching!
That old baler is getting the job done.
Yes sir! Thanks for watching
@@khtractors you're welcome
It is good that you had the baler for the steeeep!!!!, ground,it did a good job.
It does really good on uneven and steep ground. Thanks for watching

It’s the perfect little baler for these situations. The pickup head contours the ground better then the newer one. Thanks for watching
I like mine, but when my tie motor went out last year that hurt! Lawsons in rose hill only one that had it and it was nearly $400.

Nice video!
It runs around 8-10 squares I’d say the Massey would be more in the 17-18 range on a 4x4. Thanks for watching
That’s a great working baler !
It does pretty good! Thanks
Backup equipment is always nice!! I know it comes in handy for us at least 😂
Yes a backup machine is very handy! Thanks for watching
I never had the chance to use those kinda baler great video buddy 👍
They were very popular around here a few years back. Thanks for watching
It sure does make some nice bales Ben, Ranger Danger to the rescue lol Thanks for what you do sand God Bless
That Ranger was a good one, I regret trading it off. Thanks for watching
Hi Ben we seen your John Deere has a park does it have a parking brake too? Or is it not hard to take it out of park when it goes up against the park gear
Just has park. It actually comes out of park easy even on hills, I didn’t think it would. Thanks for watching
@@khtractors oh that’s neat that’s better then the parking brake no park. Our Massey Ferguson 4608 is like your kubota just relies on the brake
@@Chad.Farmer yeah I like the park feature pretty good. But I’d still like a park lock also.
@@khtractors yea I agree it seems like it’s tough to get both on most tractors.
👍👍
Hello Ben welcome from WNC how many square bales do you get out of your round bales?
These have about 8-10 square bales in them. I’ve never rebaled any of the ones from the Massey 1745 baler but it would be several more. Thanks for watching

I’m not sure what they cost new, probably less then $10,000. My monitor works good. Thanks for watching
I like the new idea baler, what’s the average weight of a roll?
I’d say 400 lbs, if you can squeeze 500 out of one your doing good! Thanks for watching
Good looking bale I would not sell it either does it ever clog?
It will clog but not often. Thanks for watching
Been looking at one of these, about how heavy are the bales?
500lb dry
If you can get 500 lbs out of one your doing good. I’d say they average the 400 range. Thanks for watching
Is there a bale density adjustment on these balers?
Yes there is an adjustment on the floor roller that moves. It’s attached to a spring on each side for tension.
If you decide to sell it let me know. I’ve been hunting one and all I can find are 484’s or 4548’s
I’d say I’ll hang onto it most likely. It’s worth more to have as a spare than what I’d get out of it to sell. Thanks for watching
Jakie robi baloty ta prasa? 100/120
They are 4’x4’ and weight about 550 pounds. Thanks
