You fell in to that and came out smelling like a rose 🌹run’s like a new one👍
Wow - that's a nice setup for the price. The WD makes a proper comeback!
I’m really happy with it ! Thanks for watching ! Cheers
My favorite old tractor is the wd. Just a great tractor
Other persons on YT using older machinery and baling with a round baler say that part of the technique is to steer in a slight weaving pattern, left-right-left-right so that you, the operator, control which side of the pickup gets the hay...therefore how much hay gets put to the left side, the middle and the right side of the bale.......
It seems to work for them.....
Yep same thing we have to do with our gehl , pick up speeds are a bit different takes a few bales to figure them out , thanks for watching
Nice job with that old Allis. I spent many hours on the flat seat of a narrow front Allis Chalmers C and an underslung Sun mower deck. I have to admit though, I much preferred running our Farmall H's and M's. The operator position on the Allis felt more like the old Farmall F20 where you were kind of entangled in the machine.
The WD / WD45 was a lot more ergonomic then the C’s. But absolutely nothing wrong with an M or H , I’d love to find a wide front M ! Thanks for watching
@@ontariovintagetractor Funny it seemed like wide front Ms were a dime a dozen around our farm in NW Minnesota. We still had two when I was growing up, and one sold at auction 15 years ago for only $1500 USD.
I kept waiting. And finnaly it pooped out a bale. That thing it neat. I need one of those
It’s a handy machine for low cost , thanks for watching
Great video, you did well with the WD
Thanks John , I’m pleased with it , made 24 more last night
She did good!
Love the orange, Mom had a C for her garden which was up to 6 & even 8 acres a few years. Was beyond cool 😎
Nice I like old tractors
I love them to , thanks for watching !
The WD handles it pretty good
Certainly surprised me ! I’m a happy guy lol, thanks for watching
Nice
How did you run the hydraulic I’m looking to get one of those new idea balers and I also run a WD 45
I have a video of how I did it , but I made some slight revisions. I’m going out to cut hay tomorrow I’ll make a review video of how I did it and how it works. Cheers
Just wondering what pto hp does the baler require? Got to say I am impressed with the old allis though!! Nice job!!
how did you work the hydrolics? with a two way cylinder and a single outlet? or did you just plug and vent one side a gravity the baler door down?
There’s a whole video of how to do it here , it’s two way hydraulics now.

Good day Boy handles it nice ,especially with that hand clutch. What gear were you in? Thanks
Baled in first gear , but it’s a little faster with the oversized tires , thanks for watching
Cool old ride are you still going in 2023?
Sure am , there’s a video out from this years first cut
Does it work well on the gehl baler? It looks as if the New Idea baler has one lift gate hydraulic cylinder, while the gehl baler has two cylinders on the gate. Wondering if the Allis has enough hydraulics to work two cylinders?
Doesn’t like the gehl , will need a better pump
@@ontariovintagetractor Thanks
Round bales with a WD? Sounds like a job for a Roto-Baler. Of course those small rounds are a bit more manual labor.
How did you find that for 300$ I’m looking for something just like it cheap for my 4 acres of hay to bale this upcoming year.
Hey there , it was siezed when we got it , had rotted rear rims , took some work to get it going , was able to free the engine without taking it apart... if your willing to take a chance on a non runner , sometimes it lays off , thanks for watching
@@ontariovintagetractor Thanks Man, Would love to see more videos! I enjoyed it.

How was fuel consumption while baling?
Still reasonable run all day on 15 gallons
