Bought back lovely memories. Thank you ❤
What a lovely day in Richmond. You did so well carrying a heavy camera up the hill on a hot day! Sadly, if you'd taken just a few more steps past the Terrace Gardens you would have been rewarded with the famous bucolic view across Petersham meadows and down the Thames. For anyone wishing to visit; if you walk across the Green to Old Palace Yard, you can walk through the original gates of Richmond Palace and down a very charming lane to the river.
Greetings from Kansas City, Missouri USA. I spent my freshman year at Richmond College (now Richmond University) in 1984/85. This was a sweet visit, as it follows my own first glimpse of the borough from out the tube station and up the high street to the college at the top of the hill, just a bit further on than you went. Right across the street from a pub called the Lass o’ Richmond Hill. Most weekends, I would head back to London to explore, so this walk was well known to me. Thanks for the quick tour!
Great video, this is a walk I do when I return to Richmond every few years, I lived in Richmond, between Richmond and Kew, back in the 1950's and still miss it. Thank you for the video.
It’s so cool to not only see the sights but things like the different cars, busses & trucks that we don’t have in the States, plus the street fashion as well. Richmond is very nice, we don’t really have alleys like that in New York or New Jersey. He architecture is nice too. Thank you❤️🙏🏽
I lived atop Richmond Hill when I was 19 in 1974-75. One of the most memorable times in my life and I thank you for showing me what it's about today.
I completed my sixth trip to London in my life recently and it is to fine videos like this that encouraged me to visit Richmond. In fact I stayed there for three days at the Petersham Hotel after my stay in Bayswater. This is one of the finest places I have ever visited. The balance between urbanity and rural beauty is exceptional. One of my goals was to visit the vast Richmond Park. This recent trip allowed me to do that. And let's not forget this is the home of Ted Lasso!
What a lovely little record of the heart of Richmond. You have captured the character beautifully. Your commentary is cheerful and 'sympatico'! I will save this.
I and my daughter used to love going to Richmond regularly, but haven't been for a long time even though we live very near, so I enjoyed your tour brought back memories, lovely
catching up on missed adventures, I love seeing London and surrounds this way. Thanks Eva x
I really want to live in one of those flats ...Until I saw how much they cost ...Not gonna stop me from trying tho
Richmond has to be the best place to live in London. The great park, the Thames river, the Green (gorgeous) Richmond theatre, great pubs/coffee shops/restaurants, only 25 minutes on the tube into central London and around 30/40 minutes to Heathrow Airport. Also if you take the M3 out of the town you are in the beautiful Surrey countryside in around 20/30 minutes. Only downside, the houses are fu**ing expensive, but that's what you would expect - lol. Btw Kew Gardens is only around 20 minutes walk along the river, an hour will take you to Barnes and a nice pub The White Hart, right by the river, great walk on a nice day.
Thank you for a very personal view of Richmond. It's a very beautiful town with its own identity, it would be a lovely place to live.
Unfortunately the most beautiful places to live in close proximity to London are prohibitively expensive. I'm retired now and could just see myself pottering around those beautiful streets, perhaps venturing into London once a month.
London sure is beautiful! So nice to spend my Sunday with you. Thanks for all you do, Eva!!
Thank you for the tour! My sister and nephew live near Richmond, and this gives me a good look into what they see everyday they cross the bridge.
I love this channel, what a great idea! Your videos are so relaxing, and it's really nice to see parts of London and Europe. I always look forward to your videos 👌🏾
so happy you're enjoying it!
I have been lucky enough to live in London two times in my life.
I plan to move back as soon as I reach 60 years old in a few years time.
Lovely , been to Richmond 8 years ago,in a walking tour, mostly along the river, had the opportunity of watching the Queens boat going down to London, but havent seen high street.so much Ive missed now able to visit with you, thank you
I once spent a day in Barnes which is within Richmond and it's such a lovely green area which seems like a small village.
I was born in Suva Fiji and my dad bought us back to Richmond to he's parents place on Kings road it was such a different world. Love and miss those memories with my grandparents i miss them so much.I was in Richmond in AUGUST 2019 I wish I stayed longer
That was amazing!! Can't wait for the next adventure!! Thanks for sharing.
This is the best vlog of Richmond I have seen thanks for including richmond green and richmond hill and the river views and also the train station. Thanks great well done.
This was lovely, exactly what we needed to see. Thank you for making this!
Thnks for this video. Im iyalian, from Roma but i had a flat in Richmond 1996 to 1998.
Thanks for this...I left london 19yrs ago and miss it every day 👍😍
Enjoyed watching 👍🏻😊
Lovely walk. I am going to visit Richmond next time we are in London. Would be possible to do a Dulwich walk? Thank you!
Richmond is not in London! It is in Greater London which is different. Greater London is a metropolitan county created in 1965 out of London and adjacent parts of Kent, Surrey, Middlesex and Hertfordshire. It is ignored by most people who still use the old county names for places outside of the London post code area. For example people will refer to Croydon in Surrey rather than Croydon in London. And refer to Barnet in Hertfordshire etc. The post office also uses the old county names for most of outer London.
It was great to see this I come from Richmond & move to Cornwall in 1980. it brought back memories .
Oh man this was a nice walkthrough. Thanks for the video! I subscribed! :)
Hi Eva this is a pretty area never been i only live 30 miles outside central London in Rochester that i would like to see through your eyes so thats an idea for you but i always end up going round the same areas when i come up into town should explore more.

Chris and Sandra of Canada

Great job, thank you💕
Ooooh oooh yippeee. this made me skip! Only thing missing was the little Red Squirrels that used to dive into our pockets looking for treats when we were kids! What a lovely Video thank you for that has made an old boy happy! (Noticed you threw a few hints out re Jewlers! Heh heh!) Thanks X
Thank you for your walks. I'm a wheelchair-user and because of plandemia Covid-19 fears - the TFL stuff are not eager to help me to travel and I'm stuck at home.
Coffeeology is THE best cafe ever :-)
Nice walk
glad you enjoyed it :)
A few questions; Is it quite bustling because the sun is out? Or perhaps it's a weekend? Are the Sun's rays a rarity? I know that one's personality is a matter of interpretation but is this area of people pretty nice?
Thanks!
Thank you for your walk.
It doesn't take me very long to get here :)
I live in Hampton so It's only about a 30-40 Min ride on the R70 from where I live
OMG!! I saw the R68 The best bus ever! ayy I live in Richmond.
Me too 👍🏼
What a coincidence, my name is Pella and I used to live there, next to Twickenham bridge in the seventies.
Very nice.
I have been on trains but is I had company yes now only worked in Richmond loved it wish I still dill do it's the time I want too again never home again have fun that's why
Clearly not very well informed about Richmond. The film ends about 150 metres from the most famous view of the river along the "Terrace".
I really enjoyed your video but feel you should maybe do a bit more research. I know Richmond really well. One of the houses you mentioned on the green was lived in until recently by Sir Richard Attenborough for example and Sir Mick Jagger lives on the hill not Paul McCartney. I just felt you could have shown the Theatre on the green for example. That said I will look forward to your future videos and thanks for the previous ones and well done.

thanks guys :)
Can you visit barking
Do twickenham area
Have you ever been outside of London in the UK? Where is the furthest north you have been? You seem to live in a London bubble with some things you say and have no concept of anything outside it
🤔
I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A DRASTIC CHANGE IN A TOWN ..20 YEARS AGO IT WAS UPMARKET AND A SPECIAL PLACE TO VISIT..TODAY FEB 2020 IT WAS A RIGHT DUMP..
Why did you have to say that is was in London? Let people decide for themselves whether or not Richmond is in London!
U talk too much shhhh
