On the days when the high-tides come in, the pleasure boats cannot get under the bridge and the water seeps several inches deep onto the pathway, quite something to see water lap at the feet of drinkers in the pub.
Richmond is just the most perfect place, it's got everything going for it, even the final flight path into Heathrow doesn't dampen my enthusiasm for this charming little town. House prices are high of course, which reflect its popularity with the rich and famous.
@@richardwills-woodward I don’t agree, overall it’s nicer now though the ridiculous lock downs will have a negative affect with empty shops that deteriorate very quickly. Best borough in London to live though very expensive if you want to buy.

Dear Sanpo Stroll. we are fond of its canal and its walks. Have you seen the sculpture exhibition called “Mayfair Sculpture Trail”? Very interesting! it’s a pity that it’s only today. It would deserve a walk to show the sculptures! A hug

Hello Sanpo Nice walk through Richmond. It brings back nice memories. As you walked on to King street there was a truck blocking the view of a restaurant that used to be a Jamie Olivier restaurant, which we celebrated Sandras birthday in. Thanks again Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
A wonderful video. Normally I go to Richmond every year when I am on holidays in England. This year I couldn't because of the virus. I do miss the Richmond walks so much. It's so peaceful by the river. Thank you for sharing!
I haven't been for years but I love Richmond. I attended a few business meetings there and made a point to arrive very early to take in the wonderful evocative town. I looked in an estate agent's window and saw that even some terraced houses were over £1m and that was over 10 years ago.
I like the way your tours show places and parts of London that you never usually see. Good work. I have not been to London for many years. It seems much quieter than I remember. Perhaps Covid 19 is keeping everyone away.

Richmond is in Surrey not London.
JMK It used to be in Surrey but technically it's now Greater London, although many of the residents still consider it to be Surrey.
The green you see around 18:09 was used by King Henry VIII for jousting tournaments.

Lovely to take a walk with you but the one thing that strikes me is the lack of mask wearing especially when the corona virus is so bad in the UK at the moment.
People don't generally wear them when in the open air outside, only in enclosed spaces like shops, buses, trains etc.
Pls upload more videos
What stood out to me was the number of homeless people,is there no provision in Richmond for them?

That's what makes it beautiful. But its not always raining. I visited for 2 months last year and it didn't rain.
If you do not have rain you have no life.
What is it with not wearing masks, I wonder.
You only have to wear masks inside in England.
