      It sounds like a nice laptop, not to big not too small and decent enough graphics for heavier work or lighter gaming. Surprised you skipped screen brightness.
      Did you try charging it with a 100w PD charger? Having a non-standard charger is giving me X13 vibes and (NOT USING COMPATIBLE CHARGER ENJOY BEING STUCK AT 60W!) and those aren't good.

    Thanks for the video! It's an intriguing device, but I feel like this is going to compete with the MSI Stealth 14 and the Asus Zenbook 14 (Pro) and at least on paper they both seem to offer quite a bit more. Batterry life on 13th gen is kinda disappointing, I was hoping for an efficiency bump compared to Alder Lake. Well, maybe next gen ... or maybe the p-series will be better.

    • @deneguil-1618
      @deneguil-1618 Год назад +3

      i'm not too surprised with the poor efficiency, the desktop 13th gen is less efficient than 12th gen too. However Intel has said they're working on a 50% efficiency increase for 14th gen and it should be out by the end of the year to hopefully they can compete with AMD in term of efficiency in laptop
      also let's be honest if you only need an efficient machine and don't need a lot of power macbooks are the way to go as much as i hate to say it

    • @mikefize2279
      @mikefize2279 Год назад +2

      @@deneguil-1618 Efficiency on desktop is pretty much equal to 12th gen, they just pump in more juice for very small gains.
      I know that Mac would be the way to go, but I refuse to buy a notebook which won't let me take out my SSD which has my data on it. That's a hard no.

    • @vmafarah9473
      @vmafarah9473 Год назад +1

      Intel raptor lake is still on 10+++ nm. So efficiency sucks. Meanwhile AMD on 4nm which is fraction of the size of raptor lake in terms of area. Rough maths 4x4 =16,10x10= 100. If AMD used hybrid architecture they could give 4X battery than intel.
      AMD 8 core CPU can perform well on 30W. You don't loose much performance on battery . Newer 16 core 7945hx is the fastest and processor when the CPU power at 120W 20% ahead of fastest intel i9 13980hx. AMD can run on silent mode and deliver adequate performance.

    Intel raptor lake is still on 10+++ nm. So efficiency sucks. Meanwhile AMD on 4nm which is fraction of the size of raptor lake in terms of area. Rough maths size,4x4 =16,10x10= 100.
    If AMD used hybrid architecture they could give 4X battery than intel. E cores only usable in certain apps.
    AMD 8 core CPU can perform well on 30W. You don't loose much performance on battery . Newer 16 core 7945hx, at 120W 20% ahead of fastest intel i9 13980hx.
    AMD can run on silent mode and deliver adequate performance.

    honestly, I don't understand why not test such a Cyberpunk 2077 on this laptop, since we have dlss3 and FG, the results could be spectacular for 45w. Just for curiosity. This test makes no sense. Completely pointless review, Cconsidering the specificity of this laptop (4050 45W)

    Looks like a great laptop but man, Intel battery life is still so awful. I am pinning all my hopes on the 2023 Flow x13 which has an AMD processor to hopefully get a portable windows creator machine that actually allows you to work comfortably for a day at a coffee shop.

    Why do reviewers still review the clicks on touchpads? If you wanna click, you use a mouse. If you're using a touchpad, you use gestures. Yet only about half the time do they mention which gestures are supported. Ah, well ... guess it's just one of those quirks about RUclips reviewers, like saying what they're gonna say before they say it. Ah, well, c'est la vie.

      4050 is actually one of the mosy impressive GPU this launch, perfomance mostly on par with RTX3060, so you actually have a budget GPU that can play almost every game at FHD Ultra settings (no RT no upscaling of course)

    Just sales drivel you're spouting!
    OLED is great until it sucks and you have to replace it.
    14" is ridiculous for gaming 1" more would get it into acceptable range.
    Light weight is paid for with poor stability AND poor durability!
    ASUS is suspect since 2023, I wouldn't buy that brand at all anymore.
    Gigabyte I've generally bought for durability and I'm glad if its not overly light and flimsy!
    And pay attention, that your PSU connectors are grounded! There are some clowns among laptop makers!
