"Monday Morning Blues" - Happy Traum

I have been a huge fan of Mississippi John Hurt for most of my life. I was blessed to have seen him play live in NYC back in the 1960s at the old Gaslight Cafe. The unique tone and rhythmic subtleties of his playing continue to elude me, but I still enjoy trying to play songs like this one, a longtime favorite. I recently started to play it in dropped D tuning, and this is pretty much made up on the spot. I hope you enjoy it, but I strongly urge you to listen to the original. There's no one better than John Hurt.
