My understanding is low input lag and the good viewing angles. A lot of cheap TVs or older generations have poor viewing angles, so if you're close to the TV, the edges will appear darker and such.
I bought this TV to replace a 13 year old LCD that at its time was one of the best TV’s money could buy. Had a read online, was only £329 and I got a £329 TV. Nothing jumps out at it but what do you expect for paying that little. For the majority of TV that is watched on it “BabyTV & Kids TV” it’s fine. There is a lot worse out there for more but totally agree about the sound quality. Worst built in speakers I’ve ever heard on a TV. But times have changed, no point in spending thousands for a TV that is for the kids in the living room. Once they are older I will drop major coin again. But to anyone wanting to buy this, get a sound bar/surround, move all lights out of view of the screen and it’s decent for the price.
I’m thinking about this as a Dakboard solution to display family photos, weather, and calendar information. Given that type of content, I think the pros should outweigh the cons. These TVs are actually good for most average consumers. If you game, watch 4K steaming or blu rays, and have a bright room, these budget TVs are really a bad buy. However, if you mainly watch regular HD TV at night after work and not much else, it’s gonna be just fine.

If you’re sitting further or in a bright room, get either the 55-65 in Hisense U8G. I use the OLED for gaming and the Hisense in my living room. Works out great.
This is so freaking decadent. Do you guys know what OLED tvs cost? Nobody can pay that much. Over 500 dollars for a tv? That's crazy. Those cheaper TV's are alright for gaming the same way. There's this elitist mindset flying around from people who are obviously rich which really bugs me.
Unfortunately we haven't tested the A7G, so we can't say how it compares. Without having our own data, we don't feel comfortable speculating and risk providing you incorrect information. Sorry about that!
At this point, I’ve really grown to hate the idea of a budget 4KTV. I mean this should be fine for the common folk that simply wants a TV, but it’s getting REALLY annoying knowing that there are so many budget TVs that don’t even provide good HDR quality for movies and games. Heck it’s been more frustrating or me to know that none would even try to give gamers some more of the good stuff in these TVs, especially in a smaller size! I mean I get it; it costs a lot to implement stuff like a 120hz refresh rate and VRR, but would it kill these manufacturers to at least include VRR in their budget TVs ON TOP of having HDR picture quality close to on par with those reaching the thousand dollar mark?!😡
2 words: gaming monitor! Even under $400 you get, 350 nits and 9/10 score in gradient, color volume, and a whole other aspects of picture quality that TVs just lack unless you drop huge cash. You also get far better response time and input lag. Whether IPS, or VA, I will gladly take the loss of real estate. I'll sit a lot a closer that's it. Plus there are no TVs at a 1440p resolution, which is a direct multiple of 720p. Which is the video output of Xbox360 and PS3 games. Direct multiple means zero interpolation. For me that's very important. Interpolation ruins the picture, in my experience. I know people rush to the next gen consoles like blind bats, but I much prefer older game design, instead of the predictable open world/shooter/dark souls clones' monotony of today.
Well pay a million dollars if you wish an and if you can. Presomptuous you are, thinking everybody has the same needs as you. There are zillions of people that don't game and would still buy a Full HD if they were still manufactured. Please think about that: not everybody is after higher spes like you are for watching Daytime Soaps. You're a gamer, good to you but please have some respet for those that have other tastes than you. I mean...people that are not freak specs. Same is happening in the world of Phones.
This is $549 on sale now at BB. Buy this instead of a $2000 Super HDR, 100% Color accuracy or super bright TV that will just develop black spots or lines in a year or two.
The big time brands aren’t what they used to be. Including Sony. The low end brands are beating them. I know I love my Insignia. And I got a Seiki 50” that’s still going strong after nearly a decade.
I bought a 50" 4K LED Seiki for $278 here in Canada in April 2018 and yesterday the backlight died. It seems all TV's have this problem. But now I'm looking, and all the cheap TV's aren't so cheap. $450 minimum.
@@SarahPoulin What happened to the backlight may clear up in awhile. Bcuz when I first got my Seiki one of the hdmi ports gave out, and I thought that was it and considered one of them died for several years, only to discover that that port is working again and I’m using it now. Modern tv’s do weird things, appearing to be broken, that resolves itself over time.
@@bc1248 I've never heard of a backlight just start randoming working again. When an LED light goes, it goes. I checked anyway just now, and it's still not working.
@@SarahPoulin I understand. I was just saying something about my tv. One of the ports seemed to have died and it’s now working again. Like with another tv I had. The tube tv’s that came out right before the flat tv’s came out. A similar thing happened with the sound. One day the sound seemed to have died, and I stopped using the tv for a long while. And then one day I turned it on and the sound was back and working ever since.
I have this and the the U8G i was surprised at how good the quality was on this. THE U8 is brighter and had better color accuracy but for 500 bucks for a 70 inch from WALLY Mart ...its a steal
RTINGSs shame guys you didn't test version with VA panel. I think it would be much better. You mentioned that it doesn't support VRR? Officially supports ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and as a result partly HDMI 2.1. I don't know the frequency of VRR. And if VRR is present I think it's a great asset. My older OLED C8 doesn't have it.
Hi mate these TV are good for the prices , you state it's not good for gaming but tested on 4k and looks amazing , what do you expect for the money , I would appreciate your feedback thanks
If you're happy with it, then that's all that really matters. Ultimately though, it isn't good for gaming compared to some other high end options, which is why we make that statement. It may also help to check out the hdr gaming score breakdown of our review to see why it earned the score that it did. If you hover your cursor over the question mark next to the score, that could help clear things up as well. www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/a6g But again, if you're happy, that's all that matters!
the most important thing about a TV for me is SIZE most other thing can't be notied without AB compair only size makes the feeling immediately differeent So same money bigger better
I go for the 50' version cause the TV in my living room is only a really old 40' Hisense. I upgrade to this one and if it will be to small for me one day i use it for my bedroom and buy a larger one. I can buy it for around 280€, but it is the A6FG, dont really know where the diffence is. ^^
The A6G already has a VA panel, so if you want a VA panel, yes it could be a good purchased. We're not sure what you mean by 'a6g 50 with a va panel or an a6 50' though. What is the A6 50 you're referring to?
I got a xsx. Will a 43" with vrr(hdmi 2.1), good brightness, and good hdr for $400 or less exist within a yr? If not, i'm fine with this and 60hz really. I play non fps mostly & prefer visuals over refresh when the games have the option
I saw the tcl series 5 review and at the end, the reviewer recommend this TV over the tcl because it was "overall better". But watching your own review here, the tcl had much better scores??
We definitely understand the confusion. Better overall may just not have been phrased properly, sorry about that. Ultimately, it does have much better color accuracy which *should* be a big plus for those that care about that sort of thing. Also, it has an IPS panel so it's better for bright rooms. But it's definitely going to depend on your needs, and the choice can go either way from user to user. Sorry once again for the confusion!
Thanks alot, please I'm planning to buy Hisense 43" HD smart tv A600, i saw two different complicated reviews, one said it's 3840x2160 resolution while another said it's 1980x2160 resolution, which is true and ultimately do you think it's a great tv. Thanks alot.
Should I buy a LG Sk 8000 65 inch or this Hisense with the VA panel 58 inch. The LG is second hand and the Hisense is brand new, the Hisense is also cheaper ?
In this case it may help to check out our comparison so see how they perform in the areas that are important to you. They’re pretty similar overall though! www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-sk8000-vs-hisense-a6g/607/23998?usage=8&threshold=0.01
I think your very wrong about this tv not being for games i put this on 4k ray tracing on xbox series x 60fps on game mode or 4k dynamic tv mode and it runs like silk ive had 3 budget tvs now and this is by far the best gaming tv ive used
Ultimately, it depends what you're comparing it too. Compared to some higher end models, it likely isn't the best option. But it's definitely a good cost friendly model. If you're happy that's all that matters!
Hey bro! This was very to the point and informative but when you got to gaming I got lost due to all the technical terms you used. Is this model just not the best to use with newer model game consoles (ps5 etc) or is it just incompatible
If you have a new console (PS5 or Xbox Series X) you may want to look elsewhere. With this TV, you wouldn't be taking full advantage of the new consoles.
Great question! This is definitely a great budget option to use as a PC monitor. Since it has wide viewing angles, the edges of the screen remain accurate if you're sitting close to it. There are a few other options listed here: www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-usage/pc-monitor That might also be worth considering! :)
I have same exact TV in my garage in 50inch VA panel, it works fine, it's pretty bright regardless of what they said. Google system little bit slow compared with my $2,000, 85 inch Sony in my living room. The biggest issue that I have with it, its keep turning on my soundbar over HDMI.. yes I do have sound bar in my garage with sub.
Why did you take off Sony Z9J from suggestions list? Yes it is expensive but so is QN900A and it was reviewed and it will become even cheaper (75" Z8H is now cheaper than 65" A90J) and it is a probably the best LCD on the market as other reviews of Z8H showed it was and Z9J is even better, please like that comment of you think like me
What's the difference between A6G & A6GR? I can't seem to find any review about the A6GR. On the Heisense webpage, it says it does have HDMI 2.1 and a "Game Mode". I found the 50'' one at around $411 in my country, so does that mean the A6GR supports 120hz 4k? Since I'm on a budget, I was thinking it's a good deal for the price, since I want it to play on my PS5 and watch movies.
Unfortunately, it looks like the A6GR is not available in the US, so we can't buy and test one. Without our own data on it, we can't say for sure how it compares.
Uhhh so I just picked this up at Target thinking it was the new A6H model not the G model... Outside of the eArc support for Dolby Atmos... Is it worth the hassle of trying to get to newer model? I feel it makes sense too.
The Hisense A6G and the Hisense A6H are very similar overall. The more recent A6H runs a newer smart interface, known as Google TV 11, instead of the older Android TV platform. It's a bit more polished and easy to use. The A6H also supports variable refresh rate technology, which helps improve the overall gaming experience by reducing visible tearing in some games. As far as overall picture quality goes, there's very little difference between these two TVs. So, if any of those above differences don’t stand out to you, then it may not be worth the hassle!
@@RTINGSdotcom I appreciate it! Well said and the new one has eArc so does support Dolby Atmos for which I have a sound bar that supports it. No reason not to get the H when price is the same lol
thinking of buying this for a PC monitor for FPS / RTS gaming (non competitive only), all the other monitors recommended over this have VA panels and VA panels have horrible black smear that really ruins FPS gaming for me

On our end, it's hard to say how they compare as our results are based off of different test methodologies several years apart. A good starting point though could be to check out our comparison: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/hisense-a6g-vs-sony-x850d/23998/275?usage=9&threshold=0.10 Not everything is comparable, but things like brightness and contrast should be. Prepare to have the led backlights go out in a year. I have had nothing but issues. It's quite a common issue with tcl tvs. I was a big fan of there's being that they look good and work good but they are not reliable. At all.
We haven't tested the R6G, so there's no way to say how it compares. Without having our own data we'd just be guessing and we wouldn't want to provide incorrect information. Sorry about that!
please show the test result instead of talking about them t, talking about it is giving your option, showing it will give views the ability to make their own, what you think is bad to some might be good, etc,
They seriously need to fix the way these companies name their TVs. All those different versions just confuse the consumer and it's getting silly now.

Disagree, off brands are stuck with backlight flicker, and it drives me crazy on games and movies ,
I bought a 50" 4K LED Seiki for $278 here in Canada in April 2018 and yesterday the backlight died.
Hey Keron, thanks for sharing your experience with us, glad to hear you're happy with your purchase!
Your c8 will crush this in quality
Everyone talks about voice on remote but no one ever shows what button it is or how to use it
How does the hisense A6G compare to hisense a7100
Spoke to to co direct and 43 comes with va panel
How does this compare to the a7g?
Hi thanks for the review. Will you review the 65A7GV and benchmark against 65U7G please?
Hi mate these TV are good for the prices , you state it's not good for gaming but tested on 4k and looks amazing , what do you expect for the money , I would appreciate your feedback thanks
If you're happy with it, then that's all that really matters. Ultimately though, it isn't good for gaming compared to some other high end options, which is why we make that statement. It may also help to check out the hdr gaming score breakdown of our review to see why it earned the score that it did. If you hover your cursor over the question mark next to the score, that could help clear things up as well. www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/a6g
But again, if you're happy, that's all that matters!
the most important thing about a TV for me is SIZE
most other thing can't be notied without AB compair
only size makes the feeling immediately differeent
So same money bigger better
I go for the 50' version cause the TV in my living room is only a really old 40' Hisense. I upgrade to this one and if it will be to small for me one day i use it for my bedroom and buy a larger one. I can buy it for around 280€, but it is the A6FG, dont really know where the diffence is. ^^
here's a good question! would you purchase an A6G 50 with a VA panel or an A6 50?
The A6G already has a VA panel, so if you want a VA panel, yes it could be a good purchased. We're not sure what you mean by 'a6g 50 with a va panel or an a6 50' though. What is the A6 50 you're referring to?
@@RTINGSdotcom sorry what I meant by the A6 50 is the upgraded model of the A6G that came out this year. I think it's the A6H if I'm not mistaken
I got a xsx. Will a 43" with vrr(hdmi 2.1), good brightness, and good hdr for $400 or less exist within a yr? If not, i'm fine with this and 60hz really. I play non fps mostly & prefer visuals over refresh when the games have the option
when are you gonna review the a6h? Thanks.
We already have! We just haven’t made a video yet! www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/a6h
Got one for the bedroom. Perfect 👌
We're glad you like it! :)
I thought you guys recommended this tv over the TCL 5 series ? It sounds worst
Why did they stop using Android TV?
Bestbuy says the 43A6G has a VA panel.
not IPS
My friend.. do you agree with me to buy Hisense 50 size 4K
Still thinking I should buy the Hisense A7400F
I hope to see review on the Sony X95J..
Is the Hisense A6G the same as the A60G ?
It's a 4K tv how can it not have great HD
Literally
facts
Between this and the U7QF model which one is better?
When are you going to review the Pioneer Kuros?
@RTINGSdotcom yes very true i love it ha! Any idea how to clean or dust it because the screen is exposed
$319.99 + FREE shipping currently on Amazon, as of 5/15/22
If you buy it, feel free to let us know what you think!
@@RTINGSdotcom thanks so much brother🙏
Is it good to use as a TV Monitor for long session? What's the best budget 4k TV for this stuff? I need it for music production.
@@RTINGSdotcom Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it, do you think 180 hz PWM is really bad?
A6G or U6G which is better?
Overall, the U6G: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/hisense-a6g-vs-hisense-u6g/23998/24000?usage=11&threshold=0.10
Please how strong was the tv
Is this TV suitable for digital signage in a shop window? And does it have mounting points on the rear?
Are you going to review any of the LG mini LED series?
Do you have modele number 55A61G display.if you have tell me the price
I'm looking for the best budget 43" tv ($250) I can find. Not a gamer. Mostly basic sports and old movie watcher. So many models out there.
Hi , I have a question. Does this tv have tecnology to protect my eyes?.
Calm down, it's ok folks, by the way i'm watching this Review on my A6G
Watching this on my Samsung Q70T
@@ARUclipsChannelwithNoName hell yeah Man! As long as you're happy with your set up, that's what really matters
thinking of buying this for a PC monitor for FPS / RTS gaming (non competitive only), all the other monitors recommended over this have VA panels and VA panels have horrible black smear that really ruins FPS gaming for me
@@mikesully110 well, i don't know about that, i haven't played videogames since in had a PS1, i mostly use It to watch movies TV shows,RUclips videos and stream music vía spotify, i use the ARC to connect It to my old Home theater In a box, i got the 60" versión really cheap and for me the biggest selling point was the android OS which runs really smooth. I'm sure that much More expensive TVS look a look a lot better but honestly i wouldn't spend too much on a technology that Will be outdated in 5 years, this thing Just does everything I need.
@@lamecasuelas2 yeah I didn't want to spend much on a high end unit, plus I'm broke as fuck too trying to come off opiates... I need a big display for gaming as my eyes aren't so good, I'm stuck on this trash 24" atm. I had a 48.5" Acer monitor which was great but it failed 1 week after the 2 year warranty ended.
The 60" one is the VA panel, do you get black smear or is it unnoticable? I chose the 65" as it has the IPS panel which has poorer contrast and a lot of backlight bleed, but it has no blacksmear
This model is the same as 43a6bg sold in Europe ?
A6GE in India is the same as this one?
Which would you prefer?ips or va panel for 50 to 55"?
Hisense A71F vs A6GE which one is better?
Is the HDR for gaming Ok? and how many nits does it have.

How does the Hisense A6G compare to Sony Sony Bravia 55" KD55X8500D 55" released 2016
Overall though, the A6G will likely feel like a downgrade!
How's A61G?
RTINGS staff are liars, are samsung's sponsoring,
ADS it is better than VA display and ips normal, they don't say nothing about the inaccurate colors of all VA displays high end & entry levels,
ADS it has the same black of VA
Can you review U7980?
Nah. Will get the TCL P725 instead.
Prepare to have the led backlights go out in a year. I have had nothing but issues. It's quite a common issue with tcl tvs. I was a big fan of there's being that they look good and work good but they are not reliable. At all.

Hi! How is this model compared to r6g?
We haven't tested the R6G, so there's no way to say how it compares. Without having our own data we'd just be guessing and we wouldn't want to provide incorrect information. Sorry about that!
How does this compare to Skyworth 9300F ? , will appreciate comments so I can make a decision between the two. Thanks
please show the test result instead of talking about them t, talking about it is giving your option, showing it will give views the ability to make their own, what you think is bad to some might be good, etc,
The tv can still achieve Dolby Atmos through an optical cable even though it's lacking eARC, Correct?
No, an optical cable isn't able to transmit Dolby Atmos signals. Optical on this TV though can pass Dolby Digital 5.1 audio though.
@@RTINGSdotcom oh okay that's very good to know. Thanks for the info!
