I have this CTEK charger mainly for my Triumph Tiger 900 GT pro motorcycle (2023) and it has been fine for past 9 months but recently the red led light is on and not working but if I connect to a car battery and change the mode it works fine. Your video does not cover this issue. Is there an easy answer to my problem? The only thing I can assume is that the short eye hole on the bike lead is faulty. Could this be the case?
Hi, Thank you for your message! 😊 The most likely cause of this issue would be that the positive and negative lead is mixed up. Hi, on the mxs 7.0 the green power light is on, the normal orange light is on, but the first stage orange light is flashing. It isn’t on steady. What does this mean? There’s no red error light. Thank you.

With my MX7.0 the red light starts glowing when I connect the cable clamp extension (tried also with a brand new one) without any battery connected. What does that mean?

Hi, I have a ctek mxs5.0 that I use to trickle feed my Noble m12 gto 3r that are renowned for battery drain when not in use. For 18 months this worked fine but late last year i noticed the red warning light, thought nothing of it as the car started fine. However, after the winter I returned to the car to find a completely dead battery and of course the red light again. I assumed as the battery wouldn't hold charge thereafter it was simply a battery issue. However, having replaced the battery 2 weeks ago I put the charger on tickle last weekend and returning to it this weekend I have the red light again. I've had the car checked fully and as I say a new battery so is it possible the ctek charger is now faulty and needs replacing? If possible i don't want to buy a new one without your advice. Thank you.
@CTEKBatteryChargers The battery is an 075, 642SMF is the manufacturer part number I believe. There are no new loads on the car. The charger is presently working fine (on vehicle for 1 week) and been showing 7 green lights happily but intermittently when I've been connecting it the ctek has either got 2 or 4 green lights then the red light illuminates at some point and its clearly no longer charging. Due to this I lost a battery it went so dead it died and couldn't be recovered. This made me believe it was a battery issue but a new battery otherwise working perfectly other than this continued intermittent charging issue. So, the question is do I have a faulty charger that needs replacing?
Hi, Thank you for your message! 😊 If you charge a battery outside of the specifications the charger will not be able to fully charge it quick enough to not cause the battery to start gassing. Because of this it will go into error mode if the battery is to big and takes too long to charge. I should add the green light had reached stage 5 on the last charger cycle.
Hi! What type of battery are you using and what is the size? Have you added any loads to the battery recently?
