    This movie is by far going to be one of my top favorites I really didn't expect what happened to happen laughing crying feeling sick to my stomach all at once she absolutely floored me with her portrayal And how she managed not to make you feel like you were watching another movie just about feminism It wasn't about that It was about the truth of these situations how they make you feel if you've been through them and finally somebody raining victorious after something so disturbing can take over your life

  • @megatwingo
    @megatwingo 3 года назад +5

    I will not mention spoilers here. Maybe a tiny little bit. But I will not mention details. I will mention, what is NOT happening in this movie. Only that much:
    No. The movie will NOT shock anybody. I found out, what it was about and what all those markings in the her little notice book meant in the other trailers of this movie. And I found out, how the movie ended (I will not mention details).
    The movie is relative harmless and all the little hints of her taking bloody revenge in the trailers are massively misleading.
    And the end of the movie is an absolute disappointment on several levels.
    Not even the toxic menhater feminists, who already watched that movie in pre-screenings last year, really completely liked that movie and that ending. Reason: Her "revenge actions" in the movie are relative harmless. And the end of the movie is a huge anti-climax on several levels.
    The only people, who will enjoy that movie at least a little are the "Effinists", because the "men are bad" message and the "believe all women without due process" message is massive and (for me) ultra annoying.
    A guy, who enjoys this movie and this (for the umphteenth time telegraphed) "Effinist" "men are bad"-message has lost his balls a long time ago.
    And even me, as a big anti-Effinist, did expect a more brutal revenge on all of those guys in this movie. Especially at the end.
    But NOTHING of all that is happening. Not even a little.
    The trailer is absolutely misleading.
    The movie comes across like a relative harmless, "effinist" drama where all men are scumbags and where all regular women are accomplices to the bad men...and the law and finding evidences and due process have no meaning at all and vigilante "justice" is the only "good" thing.
    And like I said before: That "vigilante justice" is lukewarm at best and it isn't at all, what the trailer makes the people believe.
    If you don't believe me: Read all the Effinist reviews of the pre-screenings. I found some effinist comments below all those umphteenth RUclips-trailers of this movie, too, where they have allready watched that movie on festivals last year.
    In short: This isn't the bloody-brutal revenge drama, that all those menhaters and friends of gore are obviously expecting. That never happens in this movie. Not even once.
    So even as an anti-effinist I did expect something and it was NOT delivered. Not at all. The anticlimactic end really is setting the grave stone on this movie. Even for guys like me.

      @RewindMe
      Fair enough.
      Remains to say that I hate this kind of men demonizing "girl power" propaganda.
      I'm so fed up with it beyond every limits.
      No, I'm NOT believing ALL women without any evidences or due process.
      The normal, regular women in this movie, who are thinking the same way like me about that, are demonized in the movie, too. Basically as kind of "accomplices of the patriarchy".
      Again: I am so very fed up with all those girl power female revenge fantasies in all shapes and forms.
      The main actress does a good acting job.
      Despite of that fact she is "dead" for me now. She and everybody else in that propaganda movie have chosen their side. It isn't my side. It's the anti male "girl power" and men-hater side. I hope this movie crashes and burns. I really do hope that.

      @@megatwingo oh sweet lord you are so triggered! are you complaining that the movie is too harmless?! or that it's too feminist?! and you are boycotting an actress because she portrayed a feminist who chose to teach men a lesson?! you sound like such a misogynist. BTW, feminism doesn't mean "men are bad" (that's misandry), it just means we as women want equal rights and opportunities. If you feel targeted by the "men are bad" argument, maybe it's because you are not a great guy. What is so wrong about girl power?! Also, due process usually favours the perpetrator, as is explained in the film, that's why Cassie takes it upon herself to be the "vigilante". You should watch the documentary "The Hunting Ground", it shows how universities invariably protect the perpetrators, at the expense of the victims. It is usually the same outside of universities too, a man's voice always holds more power than a woman's in court, despite all the evidence in the world. The justice system fails women. Check the statistics. Out of 100 rapes, not 1 rapist will be condemned as a felon. So yeah, due process. But don't dismiss women just because men don't understand consent. Lastly, keep in mind that most misogynists want to hurt women, while most misandrists want to just stay away from men. It's not our problem you have such a fragile ego and your masculinity depends on the objectification and hurting of women.
