- A star is born? Fans that have been following Saxon "Behind the scenes..." already know that the band's first video clip from "Call To Arms" features a special guest appearance from Biffs son Sebastian. Those who have not seen the "making of..." will have the chance to view "Hammer Of The Gods" in it's full version this Friday, June 10th.

Why is this band not huge is beyond me SAXON is a great band and soooooo underrated

This ONE song off of “Call to Arms” album should have made them HUGE! They already are popular around the world but man this song should have shown the others in the world one of the greatest bands EVER! and climb aboard the Saxon Machine!
True Warriors and Heroes of Metal. Saxon are the REAL DEAL. I will never forget wayback in 80`s they rolled into Maryland USA to play a show in Pasadena and it was a snowstorm, so maybe 40-50 people showed up, and They ROCKED IT LIKE WE WERE A THOUSAND. Much Respect to Saxon.
I photographed Saxon in Liverpool in the early 1980's! Great to see them still going strong.

The black Les Paul with the Floyd looks great!
The parts that I know make the biggest difference are pickup type, wood the guitar is made of, and how the neck is set. The amp is a huge part of the sound, too.

They're putting way better albums now than Iron Maiden. I don't like anything by Iron Maiden past 2000; and of course I have all of their albums. Maybe I can tolerate Brand New World

Sweet. Brave New World is my favorite one. Followed by Piece of Mind, Iron Maiden, Seventh son of a Seventh son, Somewhere in time, A Matter of life and Death, The Final Frontier, and Dance of Death.
I dont like No Prayer, Fear of the dark, The X Factor, or Virtual Xi, and I find Number of the beast and Powerslave to be overrated.
