EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is designed to help process thoughts and feelings we may not be able to process during waking or dreaming, leaving unresolved feelings and thoughts to rise to the surface of our conscious awareness during any given moment.
These sessions are designed to help us process, heal, and resolve unwanted thoughts or feelings in only a few short minutes.
Enjoy :D
Just remember- for thoses who don't know- keep your head still- just move your eyeballs from side to side. Also, make sure whatever device you using (hopefully a laptop or large screen) and elevate it to your eye level , so you're not looking downward.
That was so helpful! Thanks.
You're welcome! Hope it helps.@@rose_gold_hera
Obrigada pelas dicas🙏
Oh i was watching on my phobe to see if it would be different from watching on my tv, and i think it was less effective.
Anybody see the ball move fast for 1 second or even slow for a second too or am I just going crazy...
Nah me too
Me too
Me too
Yes
Me too
This video has saved me from a lot of pain. I listen to it thrice or four times a week, and I have been to release a lot. A lot of the shame and fear is gone.
I felt my body physically, relax after five minutes or so
My heartbeat is so fast while and after watching the video, I was tearing up too.
Mine did too, then it would slow down and the sound didn't match the pace of the ball of light. It was very interesting
I tackled the issue about myself that I was taught to be most ashamed of as a child. In just two sessions most of the sting has gone away. This seems to work for me. I suspect this form of EMDR it works for me, specifcaly because it can be kept a private matter. Also because I'm older, wiser stronger and understand it was their issues not mine. I definitely wanted to let the self-hatred installed in me so long ago.
I'm so happy for you!
Do you feel like the healing was permanent? Or do you still face the same issues 2 years on?
Im incredibly proud of you
Whoever you are!!!!
Im healing completely too!
Thank you for saving others with your post
How long did you watch video for?
Checking in. How're you doing now bud?
Gripping terror comes over my body. An internal scream tries to get out but can't. I cant remember all the traumas from age 1 to 5 but there's def something there that comes up
Dude, whoa. That’s intense. I’m only 2 minutes in and I feel like throwing my fucking iPad across the room. Did you do a whole session? How is it for you now?
@@user-bk1ez4sz8t much better now. Different emotions come up now. Much less terror/dread.
@@EricBryant oh good. I've only done 2 days of it..i def need to keep going, but forsure something has shifted.
@@user-bk1ez4sz8t oh yes. It def shifts energy around in the body. I don't know how it works all I know is that it does!

At some point I felt like I was going to die but then it got easier and easier. I've watched other emdr-videos too and this was very effective. Will do this again

Wow I can't believe how much I was able to process that I never have before! This is wild! and in such a short time I'm so grateful. I didn't just sit in the frustration, anger, hate, tension I actually processed it so easily. I never knew I could think like that... I mean on top of years of reflecting and observing others after my issue as well as accepting certain things. This is just the cherry on top. Everything came together.
Can you tell me how EMDR process? Do I only have to watch the ball moving and thinking about my trauma event ?
@@iitzr1ngo yes
Do you know if this at all helps to recover suppressed memories?
@@iitzr1ngo yes you just watch the ball and allow yourself to think it doesn’t have to specifically be on the trauma even or else you might be limited in your ability to think outside of it. Allow your thoughts to grow towards it naturally like you would on a regular day when your think about something that then triggers that trauma
@@natashahall-baran967 I don’t know but it help me piece my thought together I honestly haven’t been doing this since the time i commented
Is it just me or does the sphere keep changing it's rhythm? 😮
So many thanks for the freedom you give others with these videos.
Healing minds and hearts of this world!!!
All the dormant bad memories came out a series of events back to back came to the forefront of my mind and was brought to the surface..holy cow 🎉celebrate 😢letting the pain of the past go
Oui exactement cela 😢.
This is groundbreaking, better than actual therapy I went to
Thank you for providing this! So many people can benefit with this. In Utah EMDR practitioners are hard to find. Found this yesterday wondering how I could do it myself and thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ❤😊
im in Utah. my therapist does EDMR virtually .
Not sure what part of Utah but in southern Utah there's quite a few.

Whoa!!! So I did my first session with this video. Only had a minute left but I feel so much better. I’m gonna continue to do this because Whoo! A weight lifted off my shoulders.
For me this an amazing way to practice mindfulness, i cant really think of anything while following the ball back and forth, actually the only real thought I had while watching it was "wow i can't really think of anything else while watching the ball"
As someone with lifelong adhd and anxiety and who is trying to learn mindfulness through meditation I usually find it really difficult to keep my attention on my breath or a mantra etc but with this it is exactly the opposite, i couldn't really think of anything else while following the ball.
ADHD here as well. I cannot think about anything else when I try to follow the sphere with my eyes.
@@marliesbunker2601 I can do breath meditation and sort of keep my attention on my breath after taking my ritalin once the med effect has come on but it's still a big struggle, with this moving ball meditation I can easily keep my full attention on the ball even without taking my meds. Kinda cool really.
same same!
Omg same with adhd!! I had no thougts what so ever. Wonderful relaxation😂
Wow..got tears rolling down..amazing 🙌😇
Huh? What? How? There is no information on how to use this video.
@@zod5966 there is info in the start
Same here tears coming down
I've done this therapy session a number of times and often find I'm quite anxious before I start watching it, but after a few minutes I'm so relaxed I can hardly keep my eyes open! I know that's not the goal, but that's more than ok for me to feel a wave of calm come over me. Thanks so much to the creators of this great content! I'd love to watch it without the annoying ads though. And yes, you're not going crazy! They do sometimes have the ball move faster and maybe slower too every now and then.😂
Wow this is amazing… i feel great than ever i feel all the clouds in my head began to clear
This was so relieving and made me kind of untie a knot in my brain... Thank you very much for this video. It was already helpful and I'm sure it'll keep being helpful in the long run.
When you have the most neglected formative years….you are set for cptsd as an adult .Don’t be a parent if you are gonna be a deadbeat mother or father.
I have an ACE score of 10. While I have been on my own since 14, was a hs dropout, and teen mom - I have never been a deadbeat. It IS possible to heal with children and not continue cycles of abuse.
I have two kids and went through every type of abuse imaginable. Neither were by choice, but I fully embrace the challange and see them as an amazing gift without which many lighter qualities and parts of myself would have remained deeply buried. But I do get where you are coming from, and many children are born into really shit situations where the trauma is being perpetuated.
Esse movimento com os olhos dá um reiniciar nas memórias emocionais guardadas nma amídala cerebral.
Obrigado pelo trabalho!
Um comentário em português, incrível...
This is incredible for ptsd and ocd
Whew...tears were rolling down my face
My cat is fillowing the ball as well. She keeps trying to stop it with her paw.
🤣must be so adorable 🥰
Thank you so much for this EMDR
Thanks a lot for the soothing word up in the end.
At the beginning my thought were fuzzy but i kept on and got on of the most painful memory i have, and insist staying there, ive manage to recall so much more details and cried my heart out.
it is amazing - this is really helps my part of child adult to grows out of my situation, through somatic work.
there is better quality (resolution&fps) out there. it made my eyes painful.
Very helpful first session today, will keep having some more every other day. To me it feels like it was a good way to go over the traumatic episode, and the eye movement is a way to desensitized yourself from picturing and imagining scenarios which scarce are the pain of remembering.... By occupying your eyes you can re think and look at it objectively
how are you now
This video is highly underated. Was useful to me. Wanted to try this method after reading the instinct to heal .👍

I read (the body keeps the score) that this is a great therapy for people that tend to disassociate and Don't really want to talk. Like talk therapy. This is effective. And much more effective than placebos or medication
Thx a bunch.
Starting using it tonight. Even i Want to study EMDR as a specialty when finish My psicologhy degree. I would like to overcome My trauma with this

i was getting so sleepy by this ^^ very relaxing
Amazing, some random due just stared at me just as I started watching this in my car in the mall parking lot, like giving an evil eye. I was not pulled to react to his unspoken aggression, I just calmly looked away as the good energy within me prompted me away from staring back like I often do. Wow, I neutralized his aggression with a higher vibration without intending to, just by follow the higher impulse that guided me away, and he backed down lowering his eyes, softening up and walked away. That’s amazing, and I am only at 3 minutes
I loved it! Focusing was great.
I didn’t want to believe everyone in the comments, but yeah. It’s true. I unpacked something I couldn’t in therapy and I cried. I got the answer, it all made sense. Just one session. Will come back and continue maybe once a week per event.
Emdr trained therapist here. This is not BLS, i have a pair of expensive bose headphones on and the audio tones are not alternating between each ear. At least not distinctive enough. The dot alone works though
The fire was replaced by a prayer. Wonderful video!!!❤
This type of therapy is extremely effective when done correctly. My husband spent several years addressing his trauma via EMDR and it's amazing how much it helps. He can talk about events now without even getting a fast heartbeat! This video is a good demonstration of what it is like.
I would never ever suggest trying it without a trained therapist with you. My husband spent about 6 months to a year learning effective coping tools before his psychologist even began the EMDR. After that, he still struggled many times with re-living his trauma events during a session. Doing this type of therapy should never be done alone. It makes me wonder about the credentials of the person doing these videos. I didn't see any warnings and I have a hard time believing any accredited therapist would suggest this be done alone.
What's gonna happen if you do it alone?
@@DashieNCheekie When you do EMDR it tricks your brain into fully feeling and "living" your trauma. Your fears, emotions and physical sensations can be overwhelming. You can have PTSD symptoms linger from just having a session of EDMR so it is important to have a trained therapist who can help ease you into the trauma, cope with the trauma during the session and handle the after effects. For example, after my first sessions I started to experience severe hyper-vigilance. I started to see things that were not there. If I did not have a therapist, I would have believed that I was schizophrenic however hyper-vigilance can be a very common after effect of EMDR. The hyper vigilance is constantly scanning for danger so the trash bag that the wind ruffled on the side of the road; all of a sudden becomes a possible danger. The hyper-vigilance eventually went away as I processed more traumas but this example demonstrates what can happen if you do this alone.
Great points
@@DashieNCheekie Your therapist isn’t gonna get more money that’s what gonna happen. I’ve done around 10 sessions for 150 dollars each, and all they do is tell you to think of traumatic events and then ask you how much distress you feel before and after. It didn’t do much and I literally could’ve done it by myself. I have complex ptsd where I’ve experienced trauma every day for years as a young child. EMDR therapy isn’t plausible for prolonged trauma only for a few single events. If you can self administer EMDR without needing to spend thousands, do it. Unless you have COMPLETELY unprocessed memories that cause you to become suicidal or something. But I’ve thought about my past enough, not really by choice, to the point where I can relatively safely delve into past trauma.
@@abishaicampbell2187 I have C-PTSD and I swear by self administered EMDR. I read a book on it and did a couple sessions with a therapist before pandemic hit and I taught myself how to do it, and honestly I like self guided better. Is it better for everyone? Not necessarily. But I hate this gatekeeping that says it should only be done with a therapist and we can't use these tools to heal ourselves if we don't have access to thousands of dollars for clinical treatment. If I'm triggered I can go do a session myself and clear it instead of waiting a week to see a therapist to the tune of hundreds of dollars.
Thanks so much
Im going to need help easing into this i get really distracted in my head. I stopped thinking about the trauma and started to imagine a timer, the old kind with the ball i thought, then i thought about greek mythology. I'll do it later, im very sleepy
I was looking at the pattern the ball shifts and makes. 😂 monkey mind at its best!
I started zoning out thinking about what i was gonna eat for dinner halfway through
I can't thank you enough
What size should I be watching this video in? Would a phone turned sideways cause enough eye movement, or would a larger screen be more effective? Does it matter?
larger screen is better.
Phone is fine
The fire was replaced by a prayer. Wonderful video!!!
Wow, I feel so much better.
🕊🌸🌞🌟thanks lida great 🙏
Great video - I just wish RUclips would not show and ad in the MIDDLE of the session…
Same, it shocked me badly.
before there never was an ad, you know a video without any ads?
thank you
Although this is my first time here. I did read the amazing effect that this has on people. From the book "The body keeps the score" such eye-opening information. I'm not gonna lie. I did feel sleepy and saw 2 balls at one time. But I will continue to see what happens.
To be honest, I found this video challenging as my eyes continually wanted to lose their focus on the silver ball, but I stayed with it. It hurt my eyes to create almost a kind of headache. Did anyone else have this reaction?
same for me. the quality here is not the best
I had that issue
Can someone tell me the visualizing technique they do while watching? Im finding it hard to hold onto a thought.
Like how long do you watch video for while thinking?
As i would think of my past, it felt as if it was reliving pressure from my head
Wow it made me sleepy!
Its highly effective
Should I think about the bad/stressful thing while looking at the ball or only BEFORE looking at the ball?
Both
The instructions are incomplete and confusing to me
You cannot think what or when you want, dear.Thoughs come to the mind any time.
What do you do while this ball is clinking back and forth?
This video really helps to reduce ptsd semptoms. But I believe first experiencing it with a therapist is better because you learn the whole process. I always take a notebook with me and before I start, I observe my body and my emotions and take note of everything that happens, emotions, thoughts, beliefs. After watching the video for 5 minutes, I stop and observe the initial scene and emotions, bodily reactions again and take notes again. I do this process continuously until I relax (I mean watching it for 5 min and stopping&writing). You need to be careful because emotions often live in layers and are interconnected. For this reason, while working on one emotion, another intense emotion may arise. So it is better to work on one subject for a while and then take a break and let the body to process it in time (And you will understand from your dreams how it is processing it). And yes psychologist find it dangerous because it can be triggering right but if we don't have money to pay a psychologist every week what else can we do? Really I want them to tell me what can I do else when I am at home alone triggered with emotional flashbacks?
Look up grounding exercises. There are things we can do with our breathing and our sight to help regulate our anxious nervous system. Grounding helps bring us back to the present moment. If you need help finding some, I'll be happy to help.
Thank you very much, I will check up grounding exercises. @@letiguerra6720
Hmm I like this sound it makes me sleepy because I already had a panic attack before I watched it 😃
Oh the cry therapy heals the body, let it all out, scream and cry like a toddler, but never loose sight of the ball, then reinforce this words as you do, "i did my best and that is ok"
Ooh this is so cool
All this did was give me dry eyes and a headache. Idk what I did wrong. But I can’t focus on the ball, the sound, and on my thoughts all at once
My head was loud. It’s silent, and the world doesn’t feel like it’s swallowing me. I don’t feel extreme happiness nor extreme sadness… I’m confused… Is this how normal people feel?
Go by Emdr therapist to get best result as it already helping you it doesn't work for everyone
This would be effective if the left and right audio were actually isolated.
Or if the sound and audio were actually synced ;{
Omgggg thank you for this comment I thought I was going crazy. I couldn’t think about anything but if my eyes were tricking me or not
After 3 minutes, I got dizzy.
Possibly eye/vestibular things going ?
thanks!
Should I focus on one specific event? Or just allow my mind to bounce around
This activated the front of my brain so much I feel it
I just found it irritating. What did I do wrong?
My heartbeat got a little faster but it was extremely difficult for me to keep relieving the moment the entire video - my mind would wander - and it was pretty difficult to follow the ball as well. I have unmedicated ADHD... Should I keep trying or is it pointless?
idk. i also have adhd and this video didn't work for me.
Same. I kept thinking of other stuff and getting drowsy
i imagne that part of the healing process is learning to refocus when one gets distracted. This is called meditation, you can never be free of thoughts or decide entirely what to think about. BUT everytime that you bring your thoughts back on track is working the muscle that gives you the ability to decide when and what you want to think about.. Doing this makes you a person more control of your thoughts and emotions and therefore life.
Actually stressed me out, i feel like emdr asmr feels more comfortable
The sound of the ball wasn't synced up. Also the details within the ball gave me too many things to look at. C- for me
The motion and sound are out of sync. Very distracting
I believe that for small traumas (memories of offenses or insults etc ..) it can also be done alone but for serious traumas (violence, earthquakes etc) then you have to do it with a therapist.
I agree. I had a relatively minor incident happen to me a few months ago and it kept bothering me enough to become a considerable annoyance in my daily life. This has helped take a lot of the sting out of it. I wanted to get it off my mind before Christmas and I won’t be bringing it with me into the new year.
Small things like insults over and over or emotional abuse Over and over for years can be worse. Just saying. It’s not a small trauma it crushes your soul
Are you meant to think about the trauma whilst watching the video or just follow the ball from side to side?
I've used this video several times to help me relax when I'm ruminating on something. It always helps. Questions for anyone who knows, please, is it important to keep the sound on? Any other technique tips?
This just hurts my eyes 😢
i still didn't figure out which are my traumas from childhood that caused me social anxiety and i couldn't keep focuse nor thinking of anything during this session
then you might need additional help with a professional because someone needs to help you map out things, accept, reflect, observe, etc.
Makes me feel scared and anxious. Is that normal?
I don't get it. I understand the idea of EMDR- but when I tried this one and another one- I just kept thinking about the ball and nothing else came up... I feel like it needs someone guiding it more or something.
Therapist: I can't defeat the trauma, but it can.
*gestures to a fucking bouncy ball bouncing from left to right*
I felt an improvement for sure. I wonder, you do one or more sessions with each trauma until the emotion dissipates?
absolutely! You want to feel neutral about it when it comes to mind
@@VISUALMEDITATIONTHERAPY Thank you! 💕
Can you tell me how the process work ? I wonder if I do it wrong by myself. Do I only thinking about trauma event while watching the video ?
@@iitzr1ngo You keep thinking about the bad situation that caused your trauma until there is no emotion anymore. You may need more than one session. This is what a psychologist told me. I am not a pyschologist.
@@gardenialeeman4932 Thank you for your information 🥰.
9 mins into the video and i don't feel anything
Is the ball moving faster at times and then slower ?? Or is it just me ?
Is eft better or this? And how many sessions do we need for a single trauma? Do we keep thinking about it while tracing the ball?
I tried this video, but struggle with the irregularities that appear to bounce from the side and the speeds up and then slows again. This does not help me at all.
there are others on YT that are done correctly - it can be really helpful, but as someone who has done this, you're correct, this video is a bit out of sync & it's annoying
So do I think of the negative memories while the ball is moving? Or just before?
Mostly I was distracted by the movement not matching up with the sounds and couldn't focus on anything else
Look like a form of hypnosis
So some negative memories came up, but while watching it I realized I was also thinking about positive things. Is that good? Or will it suppress my positive emotions as well?
My eyes hurt and I'm still traumatized
This is neither healthy nor helpful. True EMDR has another step - you don’t focus the entire session on trauma. You put it in a box of your choosing and work on feeling safe.
The sound effect doesn’t match the pace of the ball. Is there a reason for that?
I didn't focus on just one thing, but a whole array of stuff, is that ok?
Is this realy a legit session? I suffer from deep depression from PTSD and major anxiety that I can't go to work right now. I've heard of this EMDR. Will it work for this I'm suffering from?
No, it's nothing like real EMDR. =(
Definitely look for a specialist or even try checking out other videos where they demonstrate it being done on a person. I wouldn't suggest trying it on yourself with a video like this, it can do more harm than good.
It's scary. The ball when u follow it your eyes as
Does this work?! Anyone’s experience? Going to try it later tonight
