Another great video from realpars. Crystal clear explanation & excellent graphics.
Glad you like them!
Very informative, easy to understand videos. Well done guys.
Thanks for your comment and support, Austin! Great to hear that you are enjoying our content. Let us know if you have any questions along the way!
One thing to remember is that most flowmeters measure velocity and compute the flow rate based on the square footage of the flowtube. That is to say, the meter ASSUMES the flowtube is completely full and there are no bubbles in the media being measured. Easier for gasses than liquids. Most flowmeters also have a minimum velocity they need to see before they start reading flowrate. Therefore, even though they say they have a range of zero to something, it’s actually some number above zero to something.
Good comment.

Really appreciate the well-made videos and articles on the website
Much appreciated!
I can't stop watching.. Thanks a lot
Glad to hear that!
Very interesting and very professional. 👏
Thanks a lot, Yemsrach! Great compliment!
I wish I found Realpars.com much earlier. I wasted so much money trying to learn programing which was not working. But at realpars, you learn programing and a lot more about automation in general which are relevant as well. Otherwise you go in the field and realize knowing programing alone is not enough. I have acquired more knowledge here that I am able to technically hold automation conversations.
Keep up the good work Realpars.com
We need some more videos on level 9 please.
Thanks for taking the time and giving us your feedback! We're glad that you're enjoying the RealPars courses. We add the new course as soon as the number of the videos in the course gets to a reasonable amount.

Fogotten to mention dP flowmeters, with orifice. Which are quite common in industrial use.
Thank you

Which is the best flow meter to measure the quantity of liquid.
our application is to transfer the desired quantity of liquid into one place to another place, once the quantity is transferred by measuring through this flow meter, the pump will stop automatically.
quantity will be decided every time of passage, so need some advanced system for this.
good channel.wish you a good luck
Thanks a lot, Brahim!
Would have liked to seen more focus on which meters were used for liquids and which for gasses.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Jack!
Very nice
Thank you, Andre!

Please make a video on 'Types of speed sensor'
Hi Ahmed,
Thanks for your comment and your suggestion. I will pass this on to our course developers!
Thanks for sharing and happy learning!
I'm interesting in know how does the velocity of the fluid changes the time the sound travels through it.
This was great, thanks, I have been researching "what is peak performance in business" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Fiylianaton Glorious Framework - (just google it ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for discovering how to hack your flow state and succeed without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.

Which one is suitable for acid process and can be reduce, increase the flow rate, calibration option and all
For acid process streams, I would choose a magnetic flow meter or a Coriolis mass flow meter (not discussed). You need to make sure the materials of construction are suitable for the service. For HCl or Acetic Acid, 316 SS and Alloy 20 are good for a Coriolis meter, and these same materials plus Teflon-lined are good for a magnetic flow meter. Consult with an engineer with a materials background before choosing a material of construction.
Ohhh............ I remember having to replace a meter once. I was supposed to instruct another work buddy and take the lead in that operation. Job was done but up until today I was really confused how the hell is that thing going to measure flow. It was the magnetic one. Just a straight hole through the whole thing. Yeah dont expect anyone whether above or below us to know everything lol. Thankfully a lot of stuff are idiot proofed so we just need to lizard brain them to completion and hope things work. Thanks for the video. Now thats one thing I can get off my mind.
Try our A+K Balanced Flow meter can test different types of Fluid, such like gas, liquid and steam with 2D:2D straight pipe advantage, less flow resistance and high temperature flow test. more information: wangt@keyontechs.com

Question !! Have you disable the monthly subscribe in Realpars?
I'm really interested to watch your professional courses asap
You're very welcome! Yes, we're currently accepting only yearly subscription.
Awesome
Is there any practical difference between swirl flowmeter and vortexflow meter
Yes. Instead of a shedder bar that creates vortices, a swirl flowmeter puts the fluid into rotation at the meter entry . The flow delaminates into high- and low-pressure pulses, which are measured much like a vortex meter. They are similar, but the swirl flowmeter is a little more accurate (and expensive) and is better at low flow ranges.
I have a question...
If I want to calibrate PT
For example
PT-1234 having a range (25 to 50mmwc) how can I check into 4 to 20mA.
Hi there,
To gain the concepts of the "calibration" knowledge please refer to this video of RealPars:

Can you help me explain how the transsonic meter works?
just introduce our A+K Balanced Flow meter can test different types of Fluid, such like gas, liquid and steam with 2D:2D straight pipe advantage, less flow resistance and high temperature flow test. more information: wangt@keyontechs.com
what is the tool, you're using?
I will ask the development team. Thank you for your comment.
can anyone guide, which flow meter is suitable for measurement of flow rate of refrigerant in a refrigerator? Also, can anyone justify the use of a particular flow meter for flow rate of refrigerant?
The flow of refrigerant in a refrigerator would be very tough to measure with a flowmeter. The flow path in a refrigerator is fairly short, and the much of that path is two-phase flow. The best way to determine flow is to measure: 1) compressor suction temperature and pressure
, (2) compressor discharge temperature and pressure, (3) condensing temperature and pressure and (4) evaporator temperature and pressure. Then using Pressure-Enthalpy charts (or equations) for that refrigerant, you can determine the mass flow from the net refrigerant effect.
For large commercial refrigerators, a trend of flow over time can provide useful maintenance and performance data. For a home unit, not so much.
Which software you're using to make videos like this? Tks
We are using Adobe Premiere for our videos.
@@realpars Tks so much...Your videos are very useful for me..
can we use mechanical flow meter at the inlet and outlet of a water tabk to measure the daily discharge? pls reply
Absolutely. In fact, many local water authorities require this type of flowmeter. The discharge flow is often by gravity, which requires a mechanical meter, since most other meters require a minimum pressure to function correctly.
@@realpars how can we buy it. Can u pls give me some links to buy this product
Check out this link sie.ag/30E3E6z . You can contact Siemens in your area to receive advice on which model you need to order.
hi there i would like to ask you i deal with digital flow meter in my work it changed its reading from real number to hexadecimal number for example from 97834567 to 1005E08 how could know the real number should i use conversion from hexa to decimal ?
Hey Sameer,
I think you should refer to the internal settings of your Flow Meter and I believe there is a setting to change the Hex to Real.
great thanks , really your videos and courses on your web and youtube is the better content i have ever seen .
👍👍👍
I think vortex meter will use counter in their circuit.
Which is a right flow meter for monitoring sewage in a vacuum based sewer system.
A non-contact ultrasonic flowmeter that straps around the sewer line is a well-known application.
❤❤❤
It would be better if there are subtitles.
Hi there, we do have English subtitles under our videos which you can access by clicking on 'CC' at the bottom right of the video.
@@realpars Got it.Thank you.
These flowmeters are used very much in water transfer in the oilfield . I have 12 years in the oilfield and honesty the digital ones suck bad !!!
