Theroux Well, Basch and Balthier are supposed to be very talented and well-trained fighters. Basch is one of the most powerful knights of Dalmasca and Balthier was a judge for a brief period of time (without reaching the rank of Judge Magister). Though I find it very strange that Fran is slower than Vaan and Ashe even slower than Penelo.
Ashe is the fastest on daggers and also good on ninja swords( ashe has 2nd mp and more tankier than penelo) , Bashe and Balthier need to be fast on animation since they have low magic stats, Vaan is fast overall, fastest greatsword and 1 hand weapons, which imo the most important weapons, penelo has highest mp so good mage, fran is useless...
I must admit: A Knight Penelo looks great for her. I don't understand why people put her second to last on some websites on IZJS. Her high magic attack will definitely benefit her.
Casually replies to a 6 year old comment hahaha, and nah it only makes that much of a difference once you get the genji gloves combo shenanigans going, than the time it takes for ashe to finish animations really takes its toll compared to others
I know very little about this subject but just ended up with a party doing the following. Can you tell me how this sits with the "combo animations and character animations" subject (by the way I've already played the game restricting to 12 jobs but this time I did some repetition) Vaan: Uhlan/Bushi Balthier: Knight/Bushi Fran: White/Time Basch: Monk/Foebreaker Ashe: Blm/Rdm Penelo: Blm/Rdm Late game I just brought in whm/machinist for remedy lore 3. For yiazmat I switched penelo to rdm/shikari and the monk to monk/time to act as the main healer while setting up breaks
if you're talking about attack animation here: all characters has different "character", as example Basch Basch is a captain, so he should be able to be the best on his community that's why they make Basch is the fastest animation And the other side, Penelo who's the slowest animation character cause she want to be dancer. Of course they will make it slow cause Dancer is all about naturity, slow movement, and beatifulness if you're talking about attack speed action it's IJZS series, really hard to say they, cause it modded :/ maybe he want to make it faster cause of 12 hits is really hard to get (low chance)
and second question, why they attack so hard cause this is IJZS series, the cap damage is no longer 9999, but 99999 instead actually when you're level 99 already, all of your characters damage will be above of 9999, but normal FFXII cap damage is only 9999 this happened to me, usually on casts > Firaga + Reflect 3 party bounce
Have these animation speeds changed from the original? Are they unique to IZJS? The only reason I ask is I seem to remember reading something about Balthier having the slowest animations.
Pls i beg you can you make all weapons basic attack when I played this i only used sword, boy,gun and a spear o don't know the animation of other weapon
Maybe my comment a lil but too late, but I really like playing unarmed using brawler license, but too bad, the one with the highest damage unarmed is Basch who has the worse animation, both Fran and Penelo who has the best brawler animation has the worse strength.. Really wish Basch has better animation... A jumping right hook, and a spin kick would be nice
When I was a a child I'm hoping I can use double swords or that one larsa using i was really eager to unlock that 🥺 but sadly only the guest can do that

Not necessarily. The effect of an optimized speed build is not that great and not great enough to remove that viability. That being said, Pole Fran represent!
How come you used some with jobs and others without jobs? Wouldn't it be a fairer test to show everyone without a job and then never everyone with the same job pairings? Fran and Basch were noticeably faster than anyone else but one was on breaker and the other had no class. Also did they all have the same accessory equipped? Also don't some characters have better animations with katanas than others before looking at combo speeds? I'm not sure how much of a difference this actually makes in any real scenario in the game though. Isn't it just overkill? For example how quicker would it make a battle by having the fastest combo animation vs the slowest?

Ashe is really slow on many things.
but she has 3 different animations for dagger and mace, while others only have 2 for all weapons.... weird, huh?
