I love how gentle the judge is with the dogs and how unique and beautiful each breed is.
I didn't search for this but here I'm watching dogs during quarantine...💯
LMAO same
Same
Same here
the perfect and healthiest examples on the breeds too😊
same boy, same
I am so happy to see the Bullmastiff getting recognition in the show ring. They are an amazing breed and I'm happy to be the loving home to one of them.
I second that. I watch the Westminster dog shows every year and never see then even place!
Ils sont vraiment trop beaux
A doberman with her ears and tail intact. Had to take a second look. Absolutely beautiful. Just noticed the rottweiller's tail and had to take another look as I thought my eyes were playing tricks with me. Oh my word; so priceless.
The handler was cool the way she hugged that dog. The dog walked away thinking she won the entire show
Agreed!
Docking and ear cropping is not allowed in the UK. Thankfully. If you don't want a dog with a tail you probably shouldn't have a dog and if you like dogs with pricked ears... Get one!
it has been many years since docking & cropping were banned in most countries including the Country of Origin ( Germany)
Countries following USA standard still do so anywhere that follows Country of Origin standards don't allow it
Idk why everyone is so surprised to see all the unmodified dogs, it's been illegal for a long time in the UK to dock and crop if not medically necessary
Stunning bull mastiff... Well deserved 🐶👍♥️
The Dogue de Bordeaux - A possible reason the DDB was disqualified: The Kennel Club introduced veterinary checks for the Best of Breed winners at all Kennel Club licensed General and Group Championship Dog Shows from Crufts 2012 onwards, in 15 designated high profile breeds. The Dogue de Bordeaux is one of those breeds. These measures were introduced to ensure that Best of Breed awards are not given to any dogs that show visible signs of problems due to conditions that affect their health or welfare. (the Dogue de Bordeaux is a large boned dog that can develop joint problems at a young age, and also being a short nose/skull dog: medical term: Brachycephalic, which can result in breathing problems) - The veterinary checks were introduced to ensure that dogs with exaggerated features do not win prizes.
So, there is a good possibility that an independant Vet has assessed the Crufts 2020 Dogue de Bordeaux, and decided that it is not suitable for continuing or being selected as a future stud/dam. Maybe the dogs breathing was checked after the initial showing, and they were not happy with the results (the speed at which the dog recovered), or maybe they found some mobility issues? Without an actual statement from Crufts or the Independant Vets, we will never know the real reason. Either way, I feel really sorry for the owner getting this far. Despite not winning anything, the dog (hopefully) will still be a loving companion, and should not be viewed any worse for this Crufts result.
Yes unfortunately they have been bred for mass which vastly effects the health of these beautiful dogs so hopefully this pushes breeders to breed for health we already have a wonderful dog we dont need extreme traits in any of our breeds
So happy to see soundness in these big dogs. Such quality and beauty in that bullmastiff, well deserved win in my opinon! Fingers crossed that he wins best in show, need more working group winners taking home the trophy. That rotti was impeccable as well (my favorite breed). Thankyou crufts for the awesome coverage.
The Greenland Dog belly up getting rubs while they're competing is life.
I have to admit that I am partial to small dogs, but love all dogs in general. The thing about the working dog group, is it makes me so emotional. "Dogs are man's best friend", and how much is that emphasized in the working dog history. These dogs were all so outrageously beautiful representations of their group. Hail to dogs
Absolutely thrilled that a Bullmastff has finally won the Working Group at Crufts.
Have owned many over the years they really are the most fantastic family dogs.
As with most larger breed dogs, the general public tend to have pre conceived opinions of them.
They are loving, gentle, affectionate dogs and with my experiences, as happy to live alongside my Pekingnese and allow my son, at approximately 3 years to ride them around the garden!
Such gentle dogs but undoubtedly would guard their family if needed.
That St. Bernard was smooooth. The gait was phenomenal.
Adrian At And T I’m not an expert nor show judge. I was just scrolling and seen this show. Yes their are better looking St Bernards out there. I was kind of making a funny because it was light in his feet for a big dog.
I truly love the shows CRUFTS put on. All these dogs are great and perform a honorable purpose..
Got to love them all.
Tibeten mastiff or the Bernese mountain dogs were the top 2 for me, disappointing to see there was no cane corso through 🤔
So many commonly doxed and ear clipped breeds, with both ears and tails intact! It was lovely to see, please keep showcasing dogs that haven't underdone 'plastic surgery'
@Adrian At And T just like you are.
I love that the European standards for the neapolitan mastiff are for tighter skin and fewer wrinkles than what American breeders look for. The Europe dogs look healthier and I would bet, have a longer lifespan than the American neo's. Such a magnificent breed!!
sid costello I agree but needs weight loss a working dog needs to be trim and fit. Also, this dog needs more muscle than bone and a little less skin.
@Adrian At And T I was speaking of just the neapolitan
The working line Neos in America look completely different than show lines like this one.
I loved the rottweiler, such beautiful movements and flow!
The Hovawart! Beautiful breed and fantastic nature.
I liked the judge he showed genuine interest, even though he didn’t pick my favorite the Rottweiler.
wonderful that you guys got rid of docking and cropping! these are all such stunning dogs!
so happy to see TAILS on ALL breeds. and no cropped ears😀😀😀😀😀😀
What a beautiful Neapolitan Mastiff, a stunning example of the breed, we’ll done to the breeder and owners you can see the love that’s gone into this beautiful dog
They are my favorite....I've had 2 and loved them more than anything....they're very unique personalitywise
One of the best show Neos I have seen. I can't stand the overdone, super saggy types that can barely move.
Congratulations to the Group 1 Winner the Bullmastiff Drago, his owner/handler and Barbara Stevens Breeder all from Belgium!
My favourite dog group!....I love all of them!
The Boxer and Doberman looked absolutely beautiful. I work with animals and rarely see these breeds with both the ears/tails intact.
Dobermann.
Mastiff 2021 and thanks for a awesome show 2020 🙏
The Tibetan mastiff was my #1. 😍
Wheres the cane corso?
Good to see a healthy and well bred Neapolitan Mastiff
It's pronounced 'newfin-LAND' - at least when it comes to the Canadian province.
This is my favorite group to watch :) Thank you for sharing everything online.
Please stop putting the winner in the thumbnail!! Ruined the surprise 😤
AMAZING FOR A BULLY TO WIN LOVE THOSE GENTLE GIANTS!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Really nice Alaskan malamute and Siberian husky total white! 😯💝.
I'm a boxer fan... But man that bull mastiff looked amazing
so pleased the import breeds are getting recognition
Is it just me or does the Siberian Husky look more like a Spitz or a miniature White Shepherd? xD Maybe it's just the color but I would've never guessed it as a Husky
That is not a siberian husky according to the worldwide breed standard - it may be in the UK but not in the rest of the world. For those wanting to see a video of a true siberian husky at Crufts, go back and check the 2001 Working Group video.
She is definitely not a standard UK husky. Her muzzle was definitely too pinched and the face not broad enough. Not sure how she got best in breed! Beautiful but not textbook.
@@gabymann1615 There's no such thing as a UK standard. There's only one standard for the siberian husky breed which is the same worldwide - except for the UK apparently. That's the reason why this dogs do not compete outside their country.
No es un Siberian husky
Bruno Gomes I know, I was replying to the first comment which was saying they may be different in the uk.
That Saint Bernard got robbed... what a handsome boy!!!!
I love working group dogs they are breeds with medium energy fearless strong independent aloof but they suit to me very well..My favourites are: Akitas japanese/american
Tibetan mastiff
Newfoundland
central asian shepherd
Presa Canario
Great pyrenees
Caucasian shepherd
That Tibetan Mastiff is 1st for me, also that Old English Mastiff should b in top 4
I have 3 springer spaniels for hunting 1 died last year she was 14 she was amazing
Stop showing the winners in the thumbnail ffs
They have stopped doing it now.
Stunning Great Dane !
nice to watch this
Beautiful Boston Great Dane!
How did they get Peter Sellers off the set of Dr. Strangelove to judge the group. Amazing!
Anyone know why the Akita is not included in working Group at Crufts? Seems to me the Nordic dogs have a separate classification? In Canada we now have separate Japanese Akita Inu and American Akita classifications which is as it should be. Both in Working Group.
But they live such short lives!! Bernese Mountain Dog. What a Beauty.
I’m trippin about the Tongan handler hahaha
What kind of dogs are the two after the Leon Berger?
Can someone link me for the showing of the Dogue de Bordeaux? I can't find it anywhere. And again, as others have asked here: What happened with the final result? Why was the Dogue omitted? What health check? Was it not up to date with vaccines? Was it neutered, but had Neuticals fitted to try trick the judges? Someone must know the reason!!
The rotti was my number 1, fantastic breed.
The Bernese is lovely!
May wanna let the in-arena announcer know that Eskimo is considered a derogatory slur and shouldn't be used to refer to Inuit or First Nations people.
4:26 💜❤
Bernese and St Bernard were robbed...
That Great Dane is PERFECT for Me😊😊😊
Is it just me or does the judge look like Dr Strangelove?
Newfoundlands will always be my favorite.
Which is larger St Bernard or Leonberger?
That was wholesome
Oh yeah, well, I wanna breed the Greatest Swiss Mountain Dog!
My family's got a Golden/Berner cross who could pass for a Flat-Coat or an almost-solid-black Hovawart.
Ooh, you rarely see white Huskies. There's something real nice about a solid-white coat.
Waiting to see a Dogo argentino take this group one day.
You wouldn't seen one in Crufts. They are banned in the UK under the dangerous dogs Act
@@dreamvalleyparadiseofwales3932 that's crazy.
You can keep waiting because it won’t happen. For some reason like the pitbull dogo argentino is banned. They shouldn’t be though.
@@eddibetty10 that is not crazy.
@@danielledewitt1 actually some of the handlers of Dogo Argentino should be banned, because some of them actually starts fighting in the ring.
Why didn't they show the dogs coming out to the arena?
The doberman looks a bit short?
Is rhe boerboel acceptedvat crufts yet???
Gday luv
That Bull Mastiff majestic
That Rottie flat out gorgeous
I love dogs! =)
NICE
21:41 Rottweiler ❤️🔥
Not one Pitbull, Staffordshire, Or Am Staff.
Terrie Group my dear. ..
Adrian At And T that sucks for the U.K. and Canada
Like pitbulls are even allowed here.
Staffordshire Bull TERRIER.
@@danielledewitt1 no
Bernese Mountain dog are one of my favourite breeds:)
Bull Mastiff was a good pick. Bull Mastiff just had it all for the breed. Definitely the rottweiler's competition.
I wonder what the judge seen of the Neapolitan Mastiff not taking it to the last round?
What happened with the dogue de bordeaux
I'm still trying to find out as well!
Failed the health check
0:55 ~ 2:00
No corso?
I’ve never seen a Doberman with a long tail and floppy ears
You've never seen a Doberman that hasn't been mutilated?!! How sad is that.
Cropping is either illegal or highly restricted in most of Europe. Kennel clubs don't accept cropped dogs.
It's not acceptable to cut lumps out of dogs' ears and bandage them up to make them stick up in this country. About time it's outlawed everywhere. It's barbaric
Time to leave north dakota
Angie J Uh, no. You’re very ignorant if you feel it’s barbaric. Worry more about the actual abuse of animals. These dogs who are cropped are typically treated way better than most people.
and there I thought the Leonberger originated from the town of Leonberg lol
Let's get Roman.. lock the ring. What dog is the last one standing?
Dog's don't fight eachother just like that...they're better at that when it comes to humans
It's ridiculous to call these dogs working dogs, when all of the dogs on the show have been bred for the sole purpose of looking good on a dog show and have lost all the attributes that made them working dogs in the first place.
TheErichs12 they’re literally naturally working dogs. Wtf is wrong with you. If a certified trainer really wanted to train these dogs to work, they would. And the dogs would be happy to.
@@mikeb4471 just look at that doberman, it basically looks like a black viszla. Now go on google and search what a real german working line doberman looks like and you will see what im talking about. The same applies to german shepherds, great danes, boxers etc.. Of course you can still train the dogs you see on the video but they would lack the drive and temperament the real original blood lines have.
TheErichs12 Most breeds have different lines of work. A working Doberman is probably too busy doing it’s job to be at a show, regardless show dogs still need to carry the breed’s standard which usually specifies what the dog should look like for it to be functional as a working breed. Maybe that Doberman was a female and it obviously doesn’t carry a hard working life making it look slim in structure 🤷🏻♀️
The Erichs12 - I have a Boerboel from a show breeder - not only is my dog a working medical alert service dog, but she excels in obedience (she’s currently the #1 Boerboel in AKC Rally-Obedience), and does a great job letting me know when a stranger pulls up outside our farm! She is the ultimate working dog (IMO!)!!
Most working dogs are bread from show dogs. Where I live you have to show most of the breeds before they are allowd to be bred
I bred Akitas for several years in the 1980's, so if I hurt anybody's feelings I apologize. However, the Akita in this group is not just completely out of coat, but very slight in bone, small and narrow in head type, the ear set is not nearly forward angled enough, and I can only imagine that the competition was even worse. I bred several champions and showed at Westminster more than once just for some credibility. There are some wonderful examples of other Working Group breeds in that ring but NOT then Akita.
@Adrian At And T No I was not. My mistake was that I very quickly looked for the Akita and when the only one in this video that looked remotely like an Akita was the Greenland, I hastily commented. I am used to seeing the Akita entry in the Working Group. Not in this video
I LIKE IT
9:42 🥰🥰🥰 awww belly rub
loving all the natural tails and ears!!
Where is the Akita in this show?
beautiful Greenland dog
When will cruff take health issues seriously 🤦🤦🤦
They already do.
st bernard was the one
Jay Serrano I totally agree. That Saint Bernard was smoooooooth. 💯
BRT love forever ❤️💋
Where's the Dogue de Bordeaux?
That's what I'd like to know as well - but can't find out!
Failed the health check
Be good to know what was wrong with the dog de Bordeaux after the vet check.
Yup - I'm more than curious as well (I own one) It must have been serious enough to warrant omission. If it was a male, in the past I have seen a neutered show dog taking part (which is not allowed, the dog must be entire), but the owner had artificial testicles put in to the dog (called _Neuticles_ ), someone found out, the dog was reported, and it was banned for all other shows. But as for this Dogue de Bordeaux, I'm very interested to find out what the reasons were.
The lead on that pinscher is too high.
i like it
i like it
Beautiful tibetin mastiff!
That Tibetan Mastiff is a beauty. Fabulous example of the breed ❤️
I've seen a TV show about problem dogs and some of these dogs once they are to old to compete they are given to new homes. The owners don't always care about the dogs.
That is not true about show dogs.
@@karinjohansson7262 It is completely true.
Where is the Akita?
Rhonda Finkelson Pretty sure they were in the Utility group.
Top DOGS, 👍🙏🌹
Top DOGS, 👍🙏🌹
I had 2 brindle bullmastiffs Kahuna n Tomba. Now I have abrindle South African boerboel mastiff named Groot I love mastiffs.
Очень разочаровала работа хендлеров. Задают не правильный темп движения, из-за чего собаки сбиваются с рыси, переходят в галоп, идут скачками. Уж на Крафте от хендлеров ожидала лучшей работы.
