Australia 7 Day: Wet easterly vs cold southerly

Wet weather and windy easterlies for eastern Australia along with colder southerlies in the south makes for some changeable weather over the coming 7 days in many of Australia’s main centres.
Brisbane looks to be wettest, but those in the south have a cold change today and tomorrow - but a much more gruntier one next week which may see snow over Tasmania’s mountains and into the Alps too potentially.
However rainfall isn’t widespread beyond the east, FNQ and the south-east. Places like Perth enjoy a cool down but, sadly, without much of the wet stuff.

Cranebook, Sydney I will certainly be getting out my winter clothes for next week while my daughter will be very happy to see it cool down.
We had a very noisy thunderstorm pass over last night at 11pm or thereabouts - quite unusual as it seemed to come from the NE of Sydney & pass south of us but I was happy for the drop of rain that fell even though it was short.
