I just got a discontinued Vance and Hines exhaust for my SCR950 in on Monday! There is a night and day difference in sound and looks. Louder exhaust makes riding more fun!
Do you ever think about the annoyance you are likely causing for people who are at home, trying to enjoy some piece and quiet? I'm a motorcycle/car guy and love to go to NHRA races to hear the sounds of top fuelers and funny cars. But there is also something to be said about being polite to your fellow humans and not creating bad PR for motorcyclists.
@@danoc51 I did consider it. That’s why I don’t ride like an asshole through neighborhoods or late at night. The bike isn’t overly loud if you keep it at a reasonable RPM. You should see all the thumbs up I get from kids on bicycles. Why didn’t you consider their feelings?
1:10 Holy. Shi*! That’s awesome!! I wasn’t expecting such a massive difference after removing the baffles. I wrote this exhaust off after you put it on since personally it didn’t sound any louder or more aggressive than stock… but now you have me changing my mind
MT-09s are very easy to wheelie :) A small screen is also a good idea. It's a great bike to potter around town, or in the twisties, and even on a long ride. I did 800km in a day and could have kept going. The engine is fantastic.
I agree on a little wind screen, I wish I had that bike instead of my kingpin these days, I can't even wear shorts with my pipes, I don't ride much in the summer
We had a last year 75 Triumph T160 three, one of the best looking and sounding bikes ever! I didn't see or hear the red line "is there a rev-limiter"? I follow MOTOGP and would luv to ride the MOTO 2 Triumph three. Looks like you have the next best thing. Really enjoy these video's Kirk😎
Hey Kirk love the vids man. Hey is that kelpi a slip on or full exhaust & pricing? Also, what is installation like for someone who is new to street riding? Fellow 24 MT-09 owner here. I Freaking love the bike so far. Mine is the phantom black version. Thank you sir hope to hear from you soon. Ride safe on the DSOJ!
There are no slip on exhaust for the MT09 since it's all one piece. If you have good experience and a bunch of tools, that goes a long way to changing the exhaust. Plenty of installation videos on YT. Be safe!
I love the bike! Wouldn't that exhaust note get a little tiring after a multi-hour highway ride? At 55 to 65 mph, the sound seems acceptable. But, most places in the USA, that means 75-85mph.
One of, if not the Best sounding bikes i have ever heard.
It’s good, check out the Honda CBX 6 cylinder
Sounds great! Would like to put this on our XSR900. I love the unique sound of the triple!

Congratulations! I once considered the bolt platform. Love the belt drive

can’t wait for the R9 that will come with this engine

For 2024, no third party windscreens yet sadly

Vcyclenuts tune for the mt09 is amazing
This exhaust sounds great. What do you guys think of the Austin racing exhaust?
Is that a quadlock mount you have your phone in? Love how it sits 👌🏽
🔥🔥No Baffle required :). Enjoy the Mechanical Music!!🎼🏍️
Love the content

One of the best things about the Kelpi is.. they do a full black exhaust. It’s does grey off abit after time though

It isn't droning or annoying at all. Volume increases with throttle.
what phone mount are you using here?
Did you get any warning lights without tuning?
Nice
🎶☺️😌 I'm in my happy place
Will it need to be tuned now?
Need no. But will yes. I'll get about ten HP with a tune.
Do you need to get it tune after you inatall, or is it no need to?
It doesn't need a tune but I'll be getting one
👍👍👍
Are you actually able to hear the induction noise through those new things on the tank?
You can hear the induction noise quite clearly on the previous model.
I could hear induction better with stock exhaust. Now it's mainly exhaust.
Does that little grate at the end of the exhaust come off? Can it stay off?
It's welded on.
Can I get this exhaust with homologation for Germany?
I'm fairly certain these are made with no homologation for EUV.
No clutch?
Quick shifter up and down
Seems slow.
hahaha
speed aint everything
Not that much good
