I love all the suggestions on how I should have done it, but just so I don’t have to reply the same things all the time 🤪 Yes, of course I lowered the tire pressure 🙃 No, I didn’t have another choice of tires, it were these ones or none. Ordering tires ahead is logistically impossible due to extremely slow shipping/importing times and me not knowing when I will be where 🙈 Sometimes I get lucky with tires I manage to find on the road, and sometimes I get very unlucky. I will complain oh yes, but will have to deal with it nevertheless 😂 Oh, and it was too steep and loose to ‘walk’ the bike up.. Turns out, lava fields are not easy to ride on after all, who would have thought. 🤯
We're all just so glad you're safe Noraly. I'm 67 and have never been in a bike but I live watching your adventures. I have 4 daughters around your age and Im always anxious for your well-being. A thought that came across my mind is that you had a few happy days with Charly and then you had to say good bye. That in itself can be a bit sad and daunting and probably affected your strong spirit when you had that struggle up the hill. God bless you Noraly and keep you safe. Love from Cape Town, South Africa.

Oh, I have had many moments where I am saying to the screen what Noraly needs to do... but then I tell myself she has actually ridden a motorcycle more than half way around our world. We must admit to ourselves: this woman knows a thing or two about getting places on a motorcycle. Noraly, I have over 300,000 Km of motorcycle riding and racing experience, and I have seen you do things that I have not done. Success is an effective response to criticism!
I completely agree, Agent JayZ. I have decades of offroad riding experience and sometimes find myself thinking "Noraly, maybe try this...." in a helpful manner. But then I think about her experience, how well she rode in the Kalahari (Noraly is a legit offroad racer), the fact that a camera can never convey the steepness of an incline accurately, and conclude that Noraly has probably tried everything I know to do and a lot more. In the case of this ride on the volcano, the tires just aren't able to get any grip on that surface. It's fine dust on top of jagged rocks. I'm sending her all good vibes and looking forward to Noraly working her way out of this predicament and she surely will.

always breaks my heart when we travel and we meet and make great friends, then have to say goodbye, sometimes never to see them again, with just our memories to remind us of the good times, luckily we now have social media so it is always great to stay in touch.
They've been friends for two years with phone and internet, just never met up in person til now. I'm sure their friendship will continue as it has been.
Y’all made such a cute couple, heart breaking to see it end so soon. Really great chemistry together for that episode, two different traveling styles for sure. Your type is driven to be out earlier with a clear plan, Charly is much more fluid. He leaves when he is ready, no set time. ride and see where it takes you. Fun to watch.
the chemistry between you and Charlie was a positive vibe can't say but you were positive from what I could see stay safe enjoy your ride and Charlie was a perfect gentleman Sinor from spain wish you guys the best
@@virafsurty5023 I'm an idiot. I made a mistake. I read it as "From Spain, wish you guys the best" so I was asking a Spanish question about how Central/South American Spanish sounded to people from Spain. 😂
Thanks for introducing us to Charly, I have subscribed and loving his content. As a Latina American born person who was raised in Australia, listening to content in Spanish helps me not forget my native language and he is also extremely humorous and entertaining. Good luck on the volcanic trail, I find hills and rocks most challenging too , I feel your pain and frustration but it’s part of why we ride off road!
Guatemala is basically all volcanic rock and ash . I did the Pacaya Volcano Tour from Antigua a few years ago ..... fun but 4 miles of intense hiking in knee deep ash . Many of the upper level towns have sink holes in Guatemala and cars simply disappear.
You are a great storyteller as well as a moviemaker. You keep it very personal, but still not private. Your documentaries are extraordinary. Good luck, Noraly!
There is nothing that you do or say that that anyone can do better when sitting at home . You are there doing a great job , you never give up and always push on through , good for you Itchy .
Noraly thanks for introducing us to Charly. Went to his channel, watched several vids already - and subscribed. I really like his philosophy.. El Plan es.. NO HAY PLAN.
I hope that you and Charly wil be meet very soon. You two are a incredible couple.
You're very courageous tackling that terrain. When on your own... Everything seems so much worse! But the camera never stops rolling... What a professional!
No challenge too big for Noraly! The struggle is real. Respect & Admiration. Epic drone footage, as always. Love your interaction with Charly. What a sweet man. ✨💛😊👏👑
I'm sure you would receive a lot of advice from all the Dear Abby comments! 😉 It's pretty neat to finally meet people you've spoken to for quite a while. I'm sure your paths will cross again.
They were so funny together. The disciplined hard working Dutch lady and the easy going Spaniard. I can identify with them both. I have a feeling Charly likes to get up late and be a night owl. Noraly is probably very much an early riser and gets to bed at a decent hour. I loved the way Noraly teased him about being so slow in the morning
Well Noraly, I'm on pins and needles until the next episode and that looks scary too, but with your expertise and tenacity I'm sure you will be fine. The drone footage was exhilarating, especially with your great choice of music.
Pity you and Charly didn't spend a few more days together, the chemistry and banter was hilarious to observe. But, I can clearly see why you choose to ride alone. It's the little things that can eventually turn things sour, and quickly too. Your drone footage of the volcano's pathway was awesome. Sorry you had such an arduous task with the rocky, slippery road ... trusting you got through safely, with both your bike and humour in tact! 😎💪😁
Knobby tires and momentum are your friend in this situation. Plus an even harder thing to acquire...confidence. If she gets to ride a smaller lighter bike in the rocks and gets used to it, her world will expand. The luggage makes this extremely difficult. I wonder if she's adjusted her tire pressure?
Sometimes, what strikes me most about your allure is your tenacity and problem solving skills. The road has taught you well my friend. Next you'll show us what you taught the road about Itchy Boots! Stay smart, keep your head about you, and keep enjoying what life has to offer! You are the legend!
El Salvador awaits you again one day not too far away, good luck on this new journey, I hope that one day you will meet again with Charly and share the adventures, good luck, from MA.
I was not lucky enough to meet you sooner, just a couple of weeks ago, and I am completly addicted to your videos. Your courage is inspiring and your passion is contagious, I admire your determination to overcome any physical or mental obstacle. All my best through your jorney from Mallorca✌

Noraly, Congratulations, good job! In the style of Charly but with your own special technique. I believe that both will meet again. "Don't cry" - good farewell. Maybe you cry inside? Greetings from Seville and good luck brave woman !! P.S. ''alone'' in Spanish = feminine ''SOLA''.
Noraly i admire your guts .....the places you are riding to are near impossible to ride even with support. But doing it alone and filming it at the same time is just incredible. Extraordinary Stuff Noraly.....no words are enuff to admire your courage and will power. Wish you tons of luck
Sometimes you have to let the tires roll and slide and pray that they find something to grip to propel you forward. Its not just the roads that we must work through, but also our minds. You are one tough person, because you keep pushing no matter what. I think thats more important than any tyre, or horse power or tyre pressure and other external factors that you may or may not be able to influence in that moment. Bravo! Tough Tough Person!
I feel like we just witnessed the begining of one of the greatest youtube love stories of all time. Noraly, you MUST cross paths with him again!!!!!!! The chemistry between you two is FUEGO!
Is it possible to be friends with men. After two years of corresponding via Internet and phone, they are clearly friends. And they are both on individual missions.
In 88" I tried to take my 78' Goldwing across Labrador, east to west. I didn't get too far out of town when the road became something more like a sand and gravel pit than a road. I gallantly soldiered on, riding through soft sand, steep hills and onto large cobble stone looking rocks. It slowed me down to 10 miles an hour, mainly because the oil in the forks were heating up and getting thin, losing the shock absorption of the forks. All that caused the forks to bottom out hard. It sounded terrible. about 40 miles out, I pulled over to take a break and do some thinking. Even though it was my birthday, I came to the realization that if I had a break down on the far side of the province, I would have a tough time finding a way just to get parts, let alone someone to fix it. So, I turned back, and I was glad I did. A bike that weighed over 650 pounds, plus tires meant for long distance, just wasn't the right combination to use for that adventure. Sure I was disappointed, but it allowed me to go on with the rest of my tour and have something to talk about. (And as you can see, I like to talk, which is partly why they call me Gabby) Do what you can do out there, and stay safe.
@@edpardy461 The funny part was, when I got back to Happy Valley-Goose Bay I stopped to top off the bike and saw a DOT worker and mentioned the road. He said, "Oh man, you were almost to the "good part". I didn't go back to see what he meant by "good part".
@Itchy Boots ... Noraly, you are an inspiration!

I going to say the obvious when you both finished your travels around on motorbikes you should definitely get it together. You both made for each other ❤
That perilous terrain would scare anyone but the most experienced enduro riders. It's your body's way of protecting you! Most of us wouldn't even attempt something like this. You are amazing!
Since you're heading to Alaska, you will want to know that, up here, we call "those orange things" (aka traffic cones) the official Alaska State Flower..they pop up on nearly every road around here in the Spring and continue to blossom in full color until Fall... 🚧
@@JesusFriedChrist In Alaska, we pretty much have two seasons, Winter and Tourist...a whole lotta good times to be had in both though. A biker's perspective would be two seasons, "Dry Roads" and "Icy Roads"..heated gear has done a lot to extend the riding season up here..
It's difficult to understand the efforts & pain of riders through volcanic rubbles. Even though Noraly who is so tough and having so much vast experience of riding through different terrain, in case found it challenging , we can not imagine what will be situation for others. Nevertheless, she shows courage and still finds the way with motivation " I can do it". Yes Noraly definately you can or who else ... All the very best.

Good advice. When my brother and I used to go hill walking an experienced hill walker told us to never be afraid of turning back. The mountain will still be there tomorrow. Not worth killing ourselves by insisting on getting to the summit today. Same principle applies here. Discretion is the better part of valour!

I feel I am right there with you.... not watching but participating. I'm a wilderness canoeist who's had to hang up her paddle; Noraly: your efforts make my day almost every day without fail. :)
You and Charly should meet up every once in a while. You guys have great chemistry together. It was so much fun while you were together!
Totally agree, probably not workable long term, but once in a while might be ok.
She keeps strong boundaries in a flirty way 💖
always breaks my heart when we travel and we meet and make great friends, then have to say goodbye, sometimes never to see them again, with just our memories to remind us of the good times, luckily we now have social media so it is always great to stay in touch.
They've been friends for two years with phone and internet, just never met up in person til now. I'm sure their friendship will continue as it has been.
ITCHY,,THAT WAS AWESOME YOU AND CHARLY,,I AM GLAD HE LOOKED AFTER YOU,,TAKE CARE AND RIDE SAFE ❤️❤️❤️
Why did Charlie leave so soon?
the chemistry between you and Charlie was a positive vibe can't say but you were positive from what I could see stay safe enjoy your ride and Charlie was a perfect gentleman Sinor from spain wish you guys the best
How weird does the Spanish from the Americas sound to you?
@@TheAsheybabe89 I did not get you please cn you come again ??
@@virafsurty5023 I'm an idiot. I made a mistake. I read it as "From Spain, wish you guys the best" so I was asking a Spanish question about how Central/South American Spanish sounded to people from Spain. 😂
@@TheAsheybabe89 Other really different accent, like us,british, jamaican etc, for us is the same
Thanks for introducing us to Charly, I have subscribed and loving his content.
Will miss Charly in your videos. Lots of fun.
Have a good luck in Guatemala !!
And thank You for visit El Salvador!!
You are there doing a great job , you never give up and always push on through , good
for you Itchy .
Noraly thanks for introducing us to Charly. Went to his channel, watched several vids already - and subscribed. I really like his philosophy.. El Plan es.. NO HAY PLAN.
Did exactly the same. Now binge watching his channel.
@@andrejansevanrensburg9528 ha! Me too!
If you liked Charly, then you must check Nico Ride Me Five🤙
Breath, stay calm, be patient, all WILL work out. Have faith in your ability, we have faith in you..
I hope that you and Charly wil be meet very soon. You two are a incredible couple.
Charly is a rare good man.
He taught her how to fall off.
Never met either of you obviously, but it still brought a tear to my eye when you said goodbye to Charly.
I watch your previous video, your friend Charly Sinewan,he is so friendly always smilling like his friend Norally😍😍
OMG...What a brave lady.... God bless you 💐
You're very courageous tackling that terrain.
"Here I go again on my own" a line from a great song by a great band !! 👌😉
Hey, I almost cried for Charly, but we all know Noraly doesn't like to ride in anyone's dust and you got to get up early.
Wonderful to watch you go deep into yourself to tackle an obstacle. Strength is more than just the physical.
Amen!
A journey with a hug can’t be bad! 🤗💪
Goodbye happy trip we Wish you thanks for visiting El Salvador 🇸🇻🥰😇🤩😅
This is an expert, right here, working her way through the challenges...and she still has time to give the most awesome drone shots! Kudos.
Well Noraly, I'm on pins and needles until the next episode and that looks scary too, but with your expertise and tenacity I'm sure you will be fine. The drone footage was exhilarating, especially with your great choice of music.
Yes ,the music added to guage the problem and (get scared)implore ..
I nearly became like charly but was stuck to my work and students. Wish you all the best for a smooth travel. Stay safe and may God bless you always
You are a strong and determined woman. All of who watch you cheer you on.
Sometimes, what strikes me most about your allure is your tenacity and problem solving skills. The road has taught you well my friend. Next you'll show us what you taught the road about Itchy Boots!
Stay smart, keep your head about you, and keep enjoying what life has to offer! You are the legend!
Sad to see you leave Charly behind. You guys make good traveling companions. I would love to see your reunion again. Hopefully soon though👐👌
You and Charlie make a great team
You are a true warrior 🦅
We already miss charly ,love from Canada 🇨🇦
Noraly you can do it!!! There may be a technique that you will figure out but we all have confidence in you!
Outstanding drone footage. I’ll never get to see this in person but now I have at least seen it vicariously.
I knew it- straight to the nearest volcano! 😎
What a stunning place, though!
Oh my goodness that is really tough terrain. Can’t wait to watch the next video . Vamos Noraly you can do it
Noraly i admire your guts .....the places you are riding to are near impossible to ride even with support.
Let's not complicate her mission with wild imaginations...thank you..
@@biggyoppa123 That's the perfect response.
Don't worry Guys.
When we can watch this Video everything will be fine.
Noraly, you'll rock it.
I second that
In 88" I tried to take my 78' Goldwing across Labrador, east to west.
Yes,best option sometimes is to retreat...when obstacle is huge...
Yeah , I'm from Labrador , the roads are that rough .
@@edpardy461 The funny part was, when I got back to Happy Valley-Goose Bay I stopped to top off the bike and saw a DOT worker and mentioned the road. He said, "Oh man, you were almost to the "good part". I didn't go back to see what he meant by "good part".
Never ride a bike that you can't pick up, in a place where you can't get help. 😊
Tyres are more important than most people think.
Different tyres makes it a completely different bike!
Well done Noraly!! 💪
@Itchy Boots ... Noraly, you are an inspiration! I am 71 and have been motorcycling since I was 16 and despite that experience, you take on challenges that I couldn't even contemplate! You have the most wonderful personality and you bring out the very best in the people you meet on your adventures. My wife and I are addicted to your videos ... keep up the good work and maybe one day you'll ride around my Scotland! xx
I really liked the drone shots, which in that stressful time would be something I probably wouldn't have even thought of. But for content, it really added a lot. Thanks Noraly!
Spectacular shots from the drone, what a beautiful country!!!
I going to say the obvious when you both finished your travels around on motorbikes you should definitely get it together. You both made for each other ❤
Yes you can do it.
Love Noraly's sense of humour .... love her chuckle .... so heartwarming!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 ❤
So many emotions going through me after watching this video, so many people have invested in you on these rides, so many people willing you to succeed … we know you will, it’s just hard to have to wait till the next video. So sorry to see Charlie depart, what a great comedic team. Until the next video, we will all be waiting 🙏.
Wow well done at having a crack at those hills.
Noraly , you are very courageous in this episode to cross lava fields . You are " The Passionaria of Volcano " . Hope you and Alaska are still fine 👍
Remember there is never any shame in turning round and finding an easier route. Your old tyres were better than your new ones for that chunky rock
Good advice. When my brother and I used to go hill walking an experienced hill walker told us to never be afraid of turning back. The mountain will still be there tomorrow. Not worth killing ourselves by insisting on getting to the summit today. Same principle applies here. Discretion is the better part of valour!
I did think I'd be tempted to try a route that doesn't go through the lava field, but there probably isn't one...
@@sroberts605 I expect there's a perfectly good paved road, but Noraly finds them boring!
@@antonioverdad5071 Haha, good point! No but really, a dirt track not through lava - it'd drive me mad not to be able solve the problem of a wheel spinning without ANY traction! We shall see...
I actually felt sadness that you and Charly said good-bye. It was fun to see something different, something *personal,* that you have a true friend in Charly, and quite frankly I think you broke his heart at your farewell. (And yes, it's none of my business.) Ah, but such is life. Riders gotta ride. But that's part of the adventure, isn't it? One never knows what turns your travels may take.... Now, on to Guatemala, to Mexico, to the US (I hope you will enjoy it here), to Canada, and back to the US (beautiful Alaska). Watch out for the mosquitoes, especially the two-legged ones.
There will be more Charlys. This wasn't the time. If he is "the" charly, the hearts will only be stronger. But life is too short to know.
What a wonderful world So wonderful both of you is a perfect example of what human should be 💐❤️🥰
Wow.. That was bittersweet and RocknRoll😳😬🤘🤘let's see how it goes next time...
Good luck Noraly! As bumpy the Lava field is, it looks beautiful & scary same time.
I’m so very impressed by your don’t give up attitude 👍
I am so proud of you . . . and I don't even know you personally. You are one tough rider. A real inspiration to me. Keep traveling. Stay safe. Thanks so much for posting. I just love watching your adventures.
6:27 - 7:10 Saying goodbye to a forever-friend, second best feeling in life. Best feeling in life is when you meet again...
I wish I could meet you, Noraly and give you a big hug. You're a very skilled rider to even attempt and succeed on some of these roads. I've been watching these videos and holding my breath and shaking my head, no way! Congratulations on your success.
