- It's time for another border crossing! In this episode, I am crossing the border into El Salvador. I'm using a very small border and it turns out that this gets my motorcycle into trouble. Big trouble.

Some years ago when I first saw your channel, I was a bit worried that you were sometimes out in the desert on your own and could be at risk. Seeing your travels over the last few series has made me realise that you are MUCH safer out there in the desert compared to being in a big city! Stay safe, we love your travels!

I’m always concerned, and praying for her. I’m a pretty big guy bought 235 pounds and I would be concerned riding in those areas myself. There are plenty of guys around there that would do a lot more than catcall given a chance. Sometimes I don’t think the ladies understand how dangerous that is.
@@CARLPHILLY well, these thoughts did cross my mind as well, but there you have to give it to all those guys with their boats etc. looks like people are rather decent. Maybe we westerners are a bit too prejudiced…
@@964cuplove When you talk to the locals you will quickly find that they also are "prejudiced" against the criminal elements which are rampant in Latin America. Most people are concerned with tourist's safety so they'll advise you where to avoid. It's real.

“Alaska” has been performing admirably considering what you’ve been putting her through. Honda should’ve partially sponsored you on this journey. It’s no wonder the tires are taking quite a beating when you see some of the terrain Alaska has been ridden over. Terrific scenery in every episode and always very friendly people. I thought Michigan was beautiful with all the green and all the lakes. And the Great Lakes sleeping bear dunes. And the UP is breath taking but El Salvador with drone has taken my breath away. Just beautiful 😍

The look you gave to the camera when you told us the El Salvador border staff said to just say you came in where there was no customs was so telling - LOL! I liked how gracious you were with the SIM card vendor, telling him "step by step" when he was lamenting the lack of development in his country. I winced when you talked about being cat-called. You are so respectful of other people and do not deserve to be so disrespected. Anyway, your music choices continue to be excellent, adding a very high quality feel, and the way you fade it in ahead of going arial is always great. I find myself starting to smile and getting ready to fly -- woohoo! At 18:27, when you used just that light, brief piano arpeggio to transition from arial footage to "regular" narrated travel was pure ART. Thanks for yet another great experience! You make my world a better place.

Noraly, the views along your route into El Salvador were stunning! Plus, intermingling the beautiful aerial footage just adds that perspective that would not be gained otherwise. Nice to get a SIM card from a gentleman that has a family acquaintance in your home country! You always seem to meet such nice people in all your travel. Ride safe and hope you managed to do the maintenance that Alaska requires.

OK. I'm addicted now. I've been binge-watching your previous videos. I really like your work and enjoy your travel adventures. Your sense of humor despite the circumstance is one of the primary elements which makes your posts so enjoyable. It's also apparent that your humor and friendly attitude help in your daily interactions with the varied people of many nations.
I always like to see the border crossings. Each country has such a different feel, for example: The towns in El Salvador are paved with paver stones which were not evident in Honduras. What a world tour!
In Honduras she only drove on terciary roads forgotten towns what you see from el Salvador Is it's primary roads network for safety you can not drive dirt roads like un Honduras.
Most small towns in the Guatemalan highlands use handcut stone pavers.
In Honduras she rode mostly off road and through the mountains.
Noraly, seriously, you are super human in my view. You somehow manage to just roll with the punches, all the while amazingly managing to keep such a positive attitude sucking every bit of life out of every day. If that isn’t enough, you then still put out INCREDIBLE footage every single episode. Hats off to you and thank you for taking us with you on your travels.

Watching Alaska get "a beating", I also think how your body is getting the same beating. There have been a few episodes where I think, your shoulders, back, and hips must be (using your words) SHATTERED! That's why it was nice to see you take some time to yourself when you went snorkeling around the island a few episodes back. I love Honduras and El Salvador. Some people really have a difficult life but they are very generous. I especially love the Mayan peoples. I purchased a basket made by the Mayan people.

Cat-Calling, it’s a way of life in most Latin countries; the women are used to it. Some times the guy walks along the side of the girl, telling her sweet nothings, if she ignores all, men just walk away. No harm done…!! Sometimes the obnoxious just get a bit raw in the calling…!!!! Lack of education ……!!

When you listen to someone who thinks they know about life and how it started because they were taught by someone who was taught by someone they believed in a theory by an atheist in the mid 1800s . A chicken was never a dinosaur and neither was a crocodile . You need to dig and challenge evolution because it doesn't stand up to reality and facts .
In my country ( Costa Rica) some people even call them tree chicken (gallina de palo) because of its flavor

I for one would be surprised if your mirrors don't have a lifetime warranty. You may be able to get that service shop to handle that and replace them as well. You teach us all how not to sweat the small stuff, cause it's all small stuff. I've said it before, and I'll say it again because it bears repeating. You really instinctually know how to get the nectar out of this world. And how to move on from what could sour it. Thanks for inspiring us in so many ways. From how to ride to how to process the daily obstacles we are faced with to how to chase our dreams and cast our fears aside. LETS GO !

its amazing how 1 simple thing can throw you off a bit..Alaska has done very well and a little TLC is certainly in order for her and helps to put your mind at ease too..there is a strong connection between your bike and yourself and being in tune with it is pretty much what allows you to keep the balance and keep moving on...great episode Noraly

I’ve ridden and raced motorcycles my entire life, and last night I actually started researching purchasing an adventure bike. What makes it all worthwhile, is hearing Bono sing with or without you in the background while you buy a SIM card and talk to a man about his cousin living in the Netherlands. Glad you made it to ElSalvador. What I have done in past with no customs at border, I have had a border agent sign a piece of paper stating that fact (no customs) NjoY!
