El Salvador looks stunning! It’s crazy how the country went from one of the most dangerous to one of the most safe in the Americas in less than 10 years.
It was interesting that you were in El Salvador in a non-tourist capacity ten years ago. I never would have guessed that. I'm glad they cracked down on crime and restored safety to the country. I've never been to Central America myself, though I have considered Costa Rica. Now I'll add El Salvador to my possibilities. The Santa Ana volcano looked very impressive.
Thanks so much John! I was 18 and I had seen very little of the world, it was a very hard but transformative 2 years, I also spent half of my time in Belize so it was a nice change in scenery!
I visited El Salvador when I was a kid back in 2012. Very glad to see the country doing a 180, very much deserved. I’d love to revisit again next year and see in person how much it’s changed, thank you for posting this :)
I remember being a kid and visiting el cuco and las tunas beaches, the incredible seafood and everything that region had to offer but hands down best beach I remember is costa del sol in la paz, won’t forget those hot summer nights. Really glad to see this video.
Great video Ryan! I love Tamanique. The waterfall you jumped in was soo cool! Definitely warmer than Ticino😂. El Zonte looks nice as well. I gotta checkout carribean and central America more! Glad El Salvador is safe now😊
@@RyanShirley yes! I’ve been over 30 times since my family is from there 🤣 but I had previously searched El Salvador with your name and didn’t find any footage. So this was a nice surprise today! Glad you enjoyed my country 💖🫶🏽
@RyanShirley I'm from San Salvador! But I live in Sweden, I am actually going to visit El Salvador in December for the first time in 6 years, I'm so excited 🥹❤️
@@RyanShirleyYou have to know that my dream is to travel the world so i would love everything because i watch all your videos and like write out all the spots you mention. But i would love to see a video about Canada or Thailand. Thanks for answering to my comment. It makes me so happy :)
Going there next month in february. We will have our kids eoth us and are looking for things to do with them, so i appreciate the video. I bet theyd love that waterfall!
leaving aside the penitentiary, which despite being much discussed for the harsh treatment reserved for prisoners, has certainly eliminated, but only in part, very dangerous gangs, which had terrorized the country for years. The whole territory is spectacular: history, art, nature, culture and breathtaking landscapes... the documentary you gave us shows all the best, thanks Ryan!👍👍👍👍
I wanna go back to my home land my dad still lives there i haven't seen him sense i was 3 but im happy it's safe now i want to visit him soon im going to move with him when im 18 in the village he lives in my family lived in the village for years

So many epic photography locations there bro. That volcanic hike is one I can only dream about unfortunately. I discovered an altitude sickness while in Banff 2 years ago. This guy can't do 7000 ft lol. I gotta ask though, did you feel safe? Like actually?
Thanks so much brother! 7000 feet is high up, you really start to feel the shortness of breath! I don’t know how people manage to climb big mountains like Everest. Hi
Hello 🇸🇻
Have you ever been bullied with gang violence, who likes to sell drugs or be mean to people?
When I was a missionary I had one or two instances 😅
Really 10 places, el salvador is a tourist death trap!
What do you mean? 😅
El Salvador got good thanks to Bitcoin. 😆
Their move into bitcoin is very interesting and smart!
Hoping the Trump presidency will do the same in the USA
Trump and Nayib are friends
Do you rent a car?
Yes i did
To be honest, it was the church and colonization that resulted in the country becoming the way it did in the first place. We want our culture back.
