I just returned from El Salvador this week and agree with you about the overpriced Real Estate. However, I am the guy who wants to live there, so I am pursuing the idea. I appreciate your analysis.
Hello wandered investor as a Salvadoran living abroad I agree with some parts of the video. But what you don't understand is that there is a bubble in the housing market. Ever since it became the safest country in the western hemisphere. Many people are buying properties. Building hotels houses etc.
Well, although the word "bubble" wasn't used, the WI mentioned how overpriced Salvadoran real estate was. I'd give him credit for recognizing that. If Bukele loses his edge and crime creeps back in, el Salvador will be a disaster (again). That is what I would worry about before I put my Bitcoin or whatever into the country. That said, I'm visiting for the first time in Dec. - entonces, vamos a ver.
Hope you guys find beautiful places to make your investments, but not El Salvador, we are a work in progress, our land is tiny and we are a lot of Salvadorans. Come and visit we welcome everyone.
Yes our country is only 5 years old, with the arrival of our new president, don't compare us with other countries that have been there growing for 50 or 100 years. Five years ago came our savior, but wait 10 to 15 years and that guy will be surprise.

I am sure you know our history? Who do you think is profiting from all the high prices? The same corrupt people who stole all the land back in the day. So I have been in the market for new properties. I found old, overpriced homes with USA prices with unsafe cracked walls cracked concrete and crooked construction labor. Our neighboring countries don't have a ton of trash outside their half million dollar home. I respect your passion, dough. I'll be investing outside my own county.

From a salvadoran living in El Salvador: 1) Just to clarify the situation described before Bukele about gang control, it applied only to bad/poor neighborhoods, NOT TO THE FULL EXTEND OF THE COUNTRY. That means the security change occured in places not interesting from a real state investor POV, the desirable neighborhoods to live or invest are and always been safe, so the current increase of price is merely from speculation. Buying today at current prices in El Salvador equals to been riped off and/or scammed by greedy owners. 2) All being said about the weakness of the economy is true, but nobody talks about how the government is concentrating all the power and increasing public debt without any public policy to change structural problems as lack of human capital… just actions that look good on social media and make them personally get richer. The lack of transparecy from the government and increasing corruption is a real thing (you know if you are friend with the ones in power you can do anything you want)… covered by the world class marketing from Bukele.
For big investment on housing this is not the country for you my fellow people. But for Salvadoreans is our home so for us is totally different. Hi there, I am salvadoran. You kinda need to enter the market ASAP as the real estate is going up quickly. I bought an apartment (152 m2) in a ver well sought after area just before the market exploded. 4 years later and the price has almost trippled, so lucky me. As far as I know , not alot of people or businesses uae Bitcoin. Western Union or other methods are better and are use more by the population. As far as the economy , I rather wait a couple of years to see how it develops, which hopefully doesn't fail .
The big question is to what extent the new political climate is tied to the personal policies of Bukele or to the overall political and economic class. This doubts will remain until after he is replaced in a future election, and whether he will float towards an authoritarian type of leadership, which will work against the current political and economic environment of Bukele, or whether nefarious forces will work against Bukele. And if Trump gets elected he will work to return the illegal migrants to their countries, including El Salvador. And perhaps the question would be why a Canadian or American would seek residency in a country as you have described it.
If they laugh they are too arrogant and this will play them a bad favor. in Bulgaria it was the same situation in 2005-2009 with our acceptance in European Union. No body sold, everyone seeking to buy and then a crash happened. El Salvador real estate is is tight to bitcoin. If price crash, RE will go down. This will inevitably happen as btc is volatile asset.
I hope the next government continues this path. I am so traumatized by the old ways that I can’t not trust the political future. Enjoy this time beautiful people in El Salvador!
Dont forget they just recently found gold minerals below el salvadors terrain now my country has wealth beyond amass enough to back up investors n realtors n the people who r looking for opportunities to work

Real estate is of a price In El Salvador . Safety has been a catalyst. However, there are several inaccuracies about this content. Anyway, the best one can expect from a casual observer of the country.
As far as I know , not alot of people or businesses uae Bitcoin. Western Union or other methods are better and are use more by the population. As far as the economy , I rather wait a couple of years to see how it develops, which hopefully doesn't fail .
The video starts out very clear and then becomes a bit fuzzy visually until I raised the quality of the video from 144p.
We’ll see. Interesting case study indeed.
Believe me, the personal policy of Bukele is mantaining popularity and getting richer… no long term policy to improve education for example
The problem is what happens when the president leaves power then what ?
@@mad8861 indeed. Hopefully he’ll have a good succession plan in place.
Some of the statements in this video are inaccurate and appear to be politically biased. Mostly the negative ones.
No it's not.tied to BTC, it's tied to security, economic growth, and tourism
@@mario91746 yeah right.

Very expensive for what you get... surprising
Fun fact; it took Singapore 53 years to go from third world into what it is now
Rome wasn’t built in a day and El salvador sure won’t flip in a year
Do what you want with that information
With poor education comes the ignorance of greed. The next 2 generations will make it or break it.
To me el salvador is vacation destinations. As long as they keep gangs out and in prison worth visiting
Nvidia turned country then
It’s extremely overpriced right now
More expensive even than some areas in USA
We bought 2 years ago land for cheap and it went up at least 200-300% right now
Well done!
